Chapter Eight: To be the Father

Xia Nuan is brought to the private doctor of Ye Sichen for a comprehensive physical examination.

Each step is quite strict.

The physical examination result shows that Xia Nuan is very healthy. However, she is a little weak after delivery, so she needs to supplement nutrition.

The private doctor Mi Ke’er tells Ye Sichen Xia Nuan’s physical status.

Ye Sichen nods head and watches at Xia Nuan standing outside. He says to Mi Ke’er: “Go out first.”

Mi Ke’er has a look at Xia Nuan and then leaves sensibly.

Only Xia Nuan and Ye Sichen stay in the room. The unexplainable nervousness feeling attacks Xia Nuan’s heart once again. She can only withdraw her eyesight because she doesn’t dare to stare into Ye Sichen.

After entering the presidential suite, Xia Nuan hears the sound crying of the children.

There are two women holding one baby each. They take the nursing bottles to feed the brew milk powder to the babies. However, the babies wave their small paws and refuse to drink. They are just crying loudly.

Ye Sichen takes off the coat, and his slender figure seems to be taller. He steps forwards and takes turns to hold the babies, trying to comfort them.

“Do they feel uncomfortable?” Ye Sichen waves slightly with the babies in his arms. His eyes and brows show endless worries.

One woman answers carelessly: “Madam called soon after you left. I was holding the childe at that time. Madam was unhappy when she got to know that I answered the phone. So she hung up with great power. The childe was scared. The childe was crying, and the princess cried as well.”

On hearing this, a ray of haze skims over his eyes. He lowers his head and watches the children in his arms, showing a strong love.

The two women nod their heads nervously. They are the maternity matrons invited by Ye Sichen to look after the children.

“They want milk.” The maidservant delivers a cup of tea to Ye Sichen. She stands aside and reminds Xia Nuan.

Ye Sichen takes over the tea. His gentle eyesight takes back from Xia Nuan and the two lovely children, stands up and leaves silently.
