Versatile: Alternate World 10 Chapter 10

I check my inventory for the parchment of the contract that I earned from the Gate Guardian after accepting it. Contracts from monsters and NPCs goes directly to the player who obtain the chance to establish the contract. In reality, no one knows how to earn a contract to these ent.i.ties of the game as there seems to be a hidden points needed to be achieved before you can establish a contract to them. I managed one in the past however, it is just a Rare Tier Combat Maid. However, she is one of the best companion I have in the game in the past. Much loyal than players and won't back stab and try to race with you to get loots.

And as usual, the contract is right there inside my inventory, occupying one of the box in my 100 slot inventory of the Scroll Pocket. Contracts appear as a parchment that can be taken out and considered as a consumable item. Once you tear the contract, the contract gets effective immediately. I checked the info of the contract I earned from the Gate Guardian.

"Contract of the Gate Guardian"

A parchment of agreement between you and the Gate Guardian. Tearing the parchment will allow the contract to get effective immediately. This parchment is a summoning parchment that summons the said person or ent.i.ty to the player's side to aid the player. Contracted ent.i.ties gets experience and will develop further, making their tiers to possibly increase.

As expected, the description is the same in the past, only the name of the contracted ent.i.ty is changed. I closed my inventory and also put away the contract. Its not yet time to summon him out though I am wondering what tier is the Gate Guardian. I will use him later once I earned enough money and buy a mansion or something similar to that.

The tiers in the ent.i.ties are relatively much the same from the tiers the weapons used though there is no sc.r.a.p ent.i.ty. Most of the time is normal and there are a few times it will appear rare. The heroic and G.o.d tiers only appear for the events and hard to obtain one. The tier of the ent.i.ty can only be seen once the contract was established. Also, the contracts are bound to the players and cannot be traded.

Before I can progress, a private notification appears in my face.

"Huh? What are these?" I quickly checked it out of curiosity.

Player; Bladeheart is able to get the Contract of the Gate Guardian causing the hidden rewards to be distributed instead of the real rewards that can be earned for defeating the Gate Guardian.

A white light appears and in between my hands shows the white gift box in my hands.

"Gate Guardian Memento"

His personal belongings, especially the items are all with you. You can use it as you liked to see the effects of most items held by you. Opening it will randomly obtain the weapon, accessory, or item that the contracted ent.i.ty once owned.

This is rather nice!

Mementos are quite good and might procure rare items for you. From the battle maid that I previously contracted with, I earned a super rare item that allowed me to unleash 100% power of my equipment without having to use enchantments that increases parameters. Contracts usually give players the chance to earn a good thing for recruiting them. However, they are obtained randomly and it is not guaranteed whether it is beneficial to you or not. Also, mementos are only officially given to you after the contract like the Gate Guardian have done to me is done.

I didn't open the box just yet. I can give it back to the Gate Guardian to boost his loyalty to me rather than using it myself.

I checked also the reward that I got for beating the Gate Guardian and I grinned when I saw that it was experience points. My body glowed when I received the experience. Due to this, an announcement rang throughout the whole game.

"Congratulations to player, Bladeheart to be the first person to reach level 10 in the whole world. He will automatically earn the t.i.tle "Worldwide Sensation"!"

What a surprise. Worldwide Sensation is a t.i.tle that can increase your fame +10 to the whole world. Like the Memento Mori and Death's Favorite, the effect is stacked and the t.i.tle is not needed to be equipped to use its effect which is quite good. I also earned this t.i.tle in the past for obtaining the first Heroic Armor in the past, rewarding with this t.i.tle.

With this, I quickly walk towards the gates of the capital. Before I reach there, I checked the game forum and sure enough, the whole game community blew up.

"Holy c.r.a.p! That is too G.o.dly leveling speed!"

"Is this really not cheating? I checked the level rankings and the highest level besides Bladeheart is level 5!"

"It's true! We already reported that player to the GMs and they said he never cheated. Besides, if there is one, he should be banned already!"

"Carry me Idol! I'm level 2 right now!"

"No! I came first! You need to line up!"

"+10!"

The online forums are just bustling with activity. I never expected my fast growth would cause a panic like this.

After a few paces, I finally arrived on the gate of the Holy Capital. The familiar white and gold arc that welcomes every player that arrives in the capital shows its splendor and greatness. Architects in real life will be ashamed to even compare their works to this.

I entered the Holy Capital and the familiar notification appeared in my view.

"Player discovers the area, Holy Capital"

At long last, I arrived. This place might be hard to reach but it is worth the risk. Now I just needed to go to the inn. Taking quests can wait. No one will steal the quests from me. I knew how hard it is to level up from level 5 to level 6. Much more to level 10. They must have the Memento Maori t.i.tle to compete with me but I guess that is really impossible since n.o.body is willing to die that many times like I did to obtain the t.i.tle.

I arrived into the inn and the usual chubby woman who seemed to be at age 30 is in charge of the inn was currently sweeping on the floor. Seeing me get in, she smiled and quickly stopped what she was doing.

"Welcome adventurer! Are you new here?" she smiled at me warmly.

"Yes, I just arrived here! I wanted to stay for the night," I said.

The game's daytime and nighttime are reversed in this game. The daytime in real world is night time in the game and vice versa. Since it is evening already, I needed to log out. I can't keep on playing for the whole day.

"That will be 5 silver per day, with free breakfast included!" the chubby woman smiled once again.

This chubby woman is Lily, she is a generous person. that talks with the people and adventurers alike. She is a really good listener and answers questions like a real human making her very popular for all players to be one of the Kindest NPCs. I quite agree with it and she also try to help solve problems if she can.

I go directly to the room I was a.s.signed. The room is still the same in the past, nothing much changes however, I am quite sure that I will help this place prosper. I clicked the log out b.u.t.ton and returned to reality.

I opened my eyes and feel a bit refreshed and yet I feel weird in my body. This might be due to the effects of the 100% synchronization of my mind and my avatar.

The feeling of the Reality Verse Nexus is really different than the usual! Its not something to be underestimated!

I made a good routine of stretching and moving around. Stretching makes your body a bit reliable against cramps. After doing my daily routine of stretching to exercise routine, I immediately look at my watch. Its 7:30 A.M. It's quite early still but I need to go to the park. Without money to afford a trip to the park, I shall jog later on there. Cooking my own breakfast and doing my final preparations before I go to the park.

The reason I need to go to the park is due to the fact that I needed to partic.i.p.ate a meditation session. This will be beneficial for me if I want to gain huge influence in the game.
