The Alpha's Breeder 38 Butterfly Effec

Some girls, whom I recognized from the 'council ruling', were staring at me as if I had two heads and several menacing tentacles.

Which isn't true, I'm not that menacing.

But I didn't feel as if their gaze was of mockery, superiority or disgust like it was yesterday.

Instead of foaming from the mouth or calling me rude names, they looked rather shocked and... jealous...maybe?

A couple of them had dropped their phones, ran into an open door or b.u.mped into each other, creating a colliding mess in the previously clean hall.

What is up with their over exaggerated expressions?

They were acting as if I transformed from an extremely ugly caterpillar into a multi-colored b.u.t.terfly.

Strangely enough, I felt oddly satisfied that I could make them dazed with just one look my way.

Instead of fainting in disgust, they seemed to be in awe, which was a lot different from the type of looks I usually get from people.

Before, no one ever looked at me twice.

Now instead of staring me down, they stare at me.

It was nerve-wracking, to say the least.

Since I'm not used to being stared at by a group of people like this, I started to get nervous.

It felt like speech cla.s.s all over again and G.o.d knows how much I hated that cla.s.s.

I glanced upwards at Eros to notice his eyes had changed colors, beautiful blue eyes were glowing eerily in the light.

Everyone in the hall had frozen in place, eyes glowing brightly just like Eros' did.

I believe that they were being mind-linked by Eros. From what I know, werewolves use mind-linking as a way to communicate with each other mentally, kind of like a phone call inside of their head.

When Eros' eyes went back to normal, everyone in the hall cleaned up their mess at an astounding speed.

No one dared to look at me again.

After that, Eros continued dragging me along.

Wherever we went, people greeted him with their heads bent down and tucked under.

Toran, Eros' Beta, came strutting down the halls straight towards us and proceeded to stop just a couple feet away.

His eyes never strayed from Eros.

From what I can gather, everyone was afraid to directly look at me now.

What Eros mind-linked them was probably scary enough for them to all be acting like I am some sort of terrible disease transferred from just one look at my face.

"Alpha. Alpha Female," Toran greeted rather slowly, gauging Eros expression. "Alpha Xavier Thaeos has just arrived and is awaiting you."

Eros left with Toran a while ago after he had appointed a young girl to be my tour guide of the place.

I really appreciated the fact that Eros wasn't going to escort me.

It would be a lot harder to discover any escape routes with him around.

If he realizes my intentions to run away, I'm a.s.sured that he would renovate this whole packhouse like he did his room.

And that would be a scary sight to see.

"I'm Rora. Like in Aurora," Rora introduced with a bubbly smile that was rather contagious.

She looked to be 13 or 14 years old with a bright innocent smile on her face, big wide hazel eyes and light blonde hair cut short into a bob.

"You can just call me Emi," I reply with a smile of my own.

"It's an honor to meet you, Emi! You're really pretty," Rora complimented out of nowhere with a nod of her head as if to justify what she just said.

"Thank you." I smiled wider. I already liked her.

Rora seemed like the type of person to speak her mind and truthfully answer everything unlike most people out there.

She was rather opposite of me who tended to bottle up my feelings and kept most of my thoughts to myself.

Rora introduced me to most areas of the packhouse before moving to the gigantic dining hall that looked like a venue for weddings and parties.

I can only imagine how many people are in this pack just by the size of this dining hall.

Glancing around, I almost jumped at the sudden appearance of a man by the door.

His back was leaning against the oak while his hand was holding a cigarette to his lips.

He looked a lot like Eros but with a more mischievous and dark feel.

With dark brown hair and handsome aristocratic features, he resembled Eros by almost 40 percent.
