Lightning flashed across the pitch black sky, as though the sky was torn into shreds.

Holding the cell phone in her hands, Su Qianxun was in despair. Considering the condition of the weather, Long Sijue could not possibly come. Fearful, she wanted to hide in the bathroom but a figure suddenly ran into the room.

Su Qianxun was startled and backed away frantically. Once the man entered the room, he lunged towards her and pinned her to the floor. The gla.s.s shards on the floor pierced her arms and back. She gasped in pain.

“Let me go. Help! Who are you? Let me go!” Su Qianxun struggled with all her might.

“Miss Su, you’re so beautiful. I like you so much… don’t be scared. I won’t hurt you.” The man was a temporary worker on the set. He had been enamoured with Su Qianxun for a long time. He finally had the chance to approach her today.

“This is a crime. Help! help…”

Su Qianxun was not able to fight him off, so all she could do was scream for help. But there was a storm with thunder and lightning. It was impossible for people to hear her from outside the room. Even if they did, they must be busy protecting themselves from the storm. No one would leave the room to help.

“I advise you to stop calling for help. No one would come to save you!” the man said and lowered his head to kiss her.

Just as he was about to kiss Su Qianxun, a flash of lightning split the sky into half and the light shone on Su Qianxun’s face.

He immediately let go of Su Qianxun, thinking that he must have gotten the wrong person.

Just as the man was about to run away, a black figure leaped into the room through the window. Long Sijue bolted over and kicked the man on top of Su Qianxun away.

That man did not even manage to scream. He was knocked out cold instantly.

Long Sijue quickly kneeled down and held the young woman in his arms.

“Help! Go away. Don’t touch me. Go away!” Su Qianxun started screaming.

“Xun’er, it’s me!” Hearing Long Sijue’s voice, the young woman stopped screaming instantly. She put down her hands in disbelief and asked, “Ah Jue, it’s really you?” Her voice was shaking.

“It’s me. Sorry that I’m late,” Long Sijue apologized to her. He felt as if his heart was aching.

Su Qianxun did not expect that he would come for her when the condition of the weather was so bad. Overwhelmed with emotions, she wanted to hold him, but in the next second, she suddenly shoved him away with force. “Leave. Leave. I don’t want to see you. Leave…”

She was already disfigured. She did not want him to see her like this. She knew that she must be awful hideous right now. Her face must be horrific like that of a demon.

“Xun’er, what happened to you? I’m taking you out of here.” Long Sijue immediately wanted to carry her in his arms, but Su Qianxun still tried to shove him away with desperation. She seriously did not want him to see her face.

Su Qianxun was struggling vigorously. Long Sijue had a hard time lifting her up. But he thought of the awful weather condition and the fact that she was already soaking wet. If they stayed here a second longer, she might catch a cold. He could not afford to do as she pleased. He carried her in his arms even though it would upset her and hurried out of the room.

Ye Gu was waiting in the helicopter anxiously. Seeing that Long Sijue had come back with Su Qianxun in his arms, he was finally relieved.

When Long Sijue carried Su Qianxun into the helicopter, a flash of lightning lit up the dark sky once again. Long Sijue saw her horrifyingly red and swollen face.
