Australia was originally a British colony and your two countries are close right. Tang Yan's answer left Magnussen completely speechless.

After the conflict at the World Champions.h.i.+ps, the two sides would enter a relatively flat period, this period was the calm before the storm. The tranquility before the 2012 London Olympics would serve to make it more intense.

Tang Yan, who ended the World Champions.h.i.+ps in glory, received praise from the Chinese Sports Bureau. The top-down rewards from them totaled more than ¥1.5 million, an increase on the reward money he received from the Asian Games. 

His parents were also offered a further house upgrade into a gated community but Tang Yan had his parents decline. His experience from his previous life told him that there was never any free lunch in this world and more importantly he had enough confidence to earn more in the future. It would always be more rea.s.suring for his parents to live in a house they paid for.

After the World Champions.h.i.+ps, the national swimming team was temporarily disbanded, and the swimmers returned to their respective swimming teams to continue training for the Olympic Games.

However, the swimmers from the Zhejiang Province didn't leave Shanghai immediately. On the proposal of their Head Coach Shen Qing, they held a celebratory banquet.

But because of their diet, they didn't celebrate out but chose Tang Yan's house in Shanghai instead.   

Most of the people in the national swimming team were from the Zhejiang province, so they already knew each other, they bought ingredients and made the food themselves.

After eating, the group gathered around and talked.

Because the World Champions.h.i.+ps had just ended, there was no shortage of topics.

"Jiawei, how's your injury?" Tang Yan asked, looking up at Zhou Jiawei sitting opposite him.

"I'm old, I'm probably not going to be back on the team for a while." Zhou Jiawei said with a grin. Injuries for old athletes were difficult to avoid. Sometimes injuries could lead to direct retirement. This time round Zhou Jiawei had really risked a lot for the national team. 

"We have the best medical standards in Zhejiang. Jiawei need not worry too much." Shen Qing noticed Zhou Jiawei's mood and tried to ease his worry.

Zhou Jiawei nodded and took a sip of the drink in his hand before saying, "Let's not talk about this, today is Tang Yan's banquet. Come, let's toast Tang Yan."

"Hahaha, right we must respect Tang Yan with a cup. This time he came through and helped us clinch third, you all have to learn from him." Shen Qing said as he poured baijiu into the wine gla.s.s in front of himself.

He normally didn't allow his swimmers to drink alcohol, but he decided letting it slide one time was acceptable.

"Come on, Tang Yan, congratulations!"

"Brother Tang, congratulations!"

Shen Qing spoke, and the other athletes followed.

Tang Yan took the drink and Shen Qing clinked gla.s.ses with him as everyone drained it down.

"Brother Tang, come, have some cake!" Ye s.h.i.+wen said as she handed Tang Yan a slice of cake.

Tang Yan took the cake with a smile and just as he was about to eat. The doorbell rang.

Tang Yan turned his head in confusion and stood planning to answer it

"Don't worry I'll get it." Fu Yuanhui sat in the outermost position, saw Tang Yan getting up, and rushed to get up.

"Sit, Tang Yan, just let Yuanhui get it. You still need to tell us how the h.e.l.l you pulled off that relay comeback, I still can't believe it." Shen Qing followed.

Tang Yan retracted his gaze and turned back to Shen Qing: "Hahaha I don't even know, everything was literally a blur..."

Fu Yuanhui walked out the living room into the corridor as she walked towards the front door.

She opened the door to a tall brown haired beauty holding a small thermos cool box in her hand with a slight smile on her face. But when the girl saw Fu Yuanhui, she was noticeably surprised.

Seeing the beauty in front of her, Fu Yuanhui turned her head and quickly thought of a possibility. She immediately smiled and said, "Are you looking for Tang Yan?"

"No, no, sorry, I knocked on the wrong door." The beautiful lady turned back and said with a trace of apology, then took two steps back before turning away.

Watching the beauty leave, Fu Yuanhui scratched her head in confusion, shook her head and sighed with regret.

She thought she was Tang Yan's girlfriend or something but she didn't expect it was just a mistake of the wrong address.

Heading back into the living room, Tang Yan asked who it was, and Fu Yuanhui told him about the mistake.

Tang Yan nodded in acknowledgment and joined back into the group conversation. A lot of the houses on his road looked similar so it wasn't that surprising that someone mistook the house.

As everyone ate and drank, they began playing games. Several of the group were playing cards but Ye s.h.i.+wen wanted to play checkers, so Tang Yan and Fu Yuanhui found a corner to play with her.

"Come, champion, take a photo with us." he didn't know when Fu Yuanhui and Ye s.h.i.+wen's game ended but Fu Yuanhui came for another picture.

Tang Yan couldn't help reaching for his forehead. 

Seeing Tang Yan's expression, Fu Yuanhui immediately said, "Well, this time you don't need to pose, it's just a selfie." Fu Yuanhui said, patting her chest in a.s.surance.

Tang Yan nodded with a weary smile.

Seeing Tang Yan nodded, Fu Yuanhui came over with a selfie stick.

Just then, Tang Yan suddenly realized that he was deceived by her pure expression.

Fu Yuanhui and Ye s.h.i.+wen posed and made joking expressions with Tang Yan in the middle unable to escape. The contrast was quite amusing.

Following this, Fu Yuanhui shared the photos with her circle of friends, and tagged it on Weibo with the t.i.tle "Photo with the King of Sports himself. What an honor"

Tang Yan shook his head with amus.e.m.e.nt after seeing the t.i.tle.

Just after Fu Yuanhui finished posting the photos, another girl from the swimming team, Hong Luli came over, she was just a little bit older than Ye s.h.i.+wen.

She asked Tang Yan if he could repost their selfie together on his Weibo. 

Thinking of Zhuang Jiajie reminding him to have more Weibo interactions before, he nodded and agreed.

After reposting it to his Weibo, the post was instantly filled with comments.

"Brother Tang, don't you have any guy friends."

"She seems a bit young even for you."

"Bro the starting penalty is three years, but the death penalty is still on the plate."

"MSS, open up!"

Tang Yan shook his head whilst laughing at the comments, but just then, a comment caught his attention.

"She's a very beautiful girl."

Different from the previous ridiculous and spoofful comments, the comment was quite simple.

Of course, the contents of the comment was not what attracted Tang Yan but the username Ice_QueenYan_Bing was what caught him off guard.
