After another week of preparations, the team trials were held as scheduled in the training hall.

There was no audience in this trial, but everyone could feel the tension in the air.

Dong Jie frowned and moved as if he was about to speak again.

But Pan Yu cut him off:

"If he hasn't got the ability to back up his words then he might as well quit now, our team doesn't need trash who can only sow discord.

See that's the issue with people like him, they do a bit of training and they think they'll be the next big thing look at him, humph already so old but only just making it to the 70m event. No talent but still so persistent, I guess you two really are two peas in a pod." Pan Yu said disdainfully.

Dong Jie's hands tightened and his eyes were full of anger. Pan Yu's words were full of provocation, he wanted to refute but couldn't find a place to start.

Since joining the team the two had been at each other's throats but Pan Yu had always had the upper hand. Just this trial was enough to prove his superiority. Their battle was a symbol of the struggle between talent and training.

The confrontation between the two made the atmosphere in the hall even more tense. Some of the archers turned their heads and looked over to Song Feng, but found that Song Feng had an indifferent expression. It seemed they wouldn't get any help from him.

After a while the anger in Dong Jie's eyes retreated. He stared coldly at Pan Yu but didn't speak up.

Pan Yu saw Dong Jie retreat, and the arrogance painted on his face increased. He turned his head and cast a condescending look down at Tang Yan. He said with ridicule:

"I know you may have been regarded as a genius back in that backwater city of yours but your nothing here."
