Upon arriving at Minhyun's apartment, she immediately went to was her room. The feeling of the soft blankets against her skin made her melt. This was the life. She quickly pa.s.sed out.
After her quick nap, she quickly turned to studying.
Today's schedule was just like every other normal day. But to have an action-packed day to a normal one was a weird transition. Since she helped Minhyun finished the mental revenge, all she needed to do was wait for the Moon group to fall.
Time pa.s.sed by.
Four o'clock.
Six o'clock.
Eleven o'clock.
Yet there was no sign of the black-haired CEO.
An uneasy feeling erupted in her chest. If she were to be totally honest, the real reason to why she came home so fast was because she wanted to see him. Sure she was tired, but the nap was taken to make time pa.s.s by quicker. Studying? She already caught up. Now she was going ahead of what the teacher was teaching.
Yoona constantly glanced at her phone, debating on whether or not she should text him. Although she was used to him having lots of work, she couldn't help but want him by her side. Was she being clingy? She had no idea. Honestly, when it came to Jaemin, he was the one that always clung onto her. She didn't mind staying away from him for a while.
However, when it came to Minhyun it was a different story. Plus they had a lot to discuss. There was many holes in their relations.h.i.+p that they needed to fill. The gala wasn't enough to answer all the questions she had.
To text or not to text, that was the question.
Another thing to consider was that by texting him, she could potentially bother his productivity. By now, it was hard for Yoona not to know how much he cared for her. If she were to text him saying she was hurt, he would come right away. She knew how much power she held. Therefore, she was very hesitant on using it.
She let out a sigh.
She decided to wait.
----
Minhyun got home around two in the morning.
Dark bags deepened under his eyes as he pressed the b.u.t.tons of his security device to open his abode.
When he opened the door, Gloria greeted him as always. "Welcome back Master Chae Minhyun."
He cursed under his breath. By this time, it was likely that Yoona was sleeping. He forgot to turn off the system.
The automatic sensors detected his movements at the door and dimly lit the hallways. He gently walked down, trying not to make as much noise as possible.
From the silence that followed, it didn't seem like Yoona was awakened. Thank G.o.d.
Or perhaps not. He really wanted to see her. However, he compressed all these emotions inside of his chest and trudged himself to his bed. He didn't want want to bother her. She needed to rest: both emotionally and physically.
While sitting on the cus.h.i.+on, he ruffled his hair messily, the strands going into every direction. After a long day of working on different projects and the Moon situation, exhausted wasn't enough to describe his condition. His eyes were half-opened; the lids on the verge of collapsing.
f.u.c.k. He wanted to go to sleep.
While he was unb.u.t.toning his s.h.i.+rt, a quiet voice entered his room.
"Mini?"
He looked up. His eyes brightening from her presence. "Sorry. Did I wake you up?"
She was wearing her light pink pajamas and her hair was as messy as his. From her dazed facial expression, it was clear that she just woke up.
There was a pause. "No. I just woke up on my own. What a coincidence."
The corner of his lips curled up. Liar. Before saying such words, she should've gotten rid of the evidence. "That's good then."
"By the way," he drawled. He let out a small laugh. "You should fix that habit of yours. Unless you want to see me naked, entering my room without knocking isn't a good idea."
A blush entered her cheeks. "Ah. I forgot." She scratched the back of her head with a smile. "I-I just really wanted to see you."
It was really hard for her to say this. Although they flirted and kissed during the gala, today was a new day. And after being separated for those long hours, it felt like their romance reset to zero.
"See me naked?"
She scowled. All her previous thoughts disappeared. "Minhyun! You know what I mean!"
He let out a chuckle. "I know. Let me change first. Give me a moment."
Yoona covered her eyes with her hands. Once in a while, she would open up her fingers slightly to have a peek. Just a slight peek. Before returning back to darkness.
"Open your eyes."
Her eyelashes fluttered as she was met with the image of Minhyun in a pair of navy silky pajamas. He was sitting on his bed patiently. "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to come home sooner. Work pilled up."
She shook her head. "I get it. Honestly, i'm sorry for being such a bother. I know that your probably b.l.o.o.d.y tired right now."
Upon seeing his tired expression, a pang of guilt filled her heart. She wanted to see him so bad. Her heart couldn't take the wait. But when she finally saw him, she felt like she was being a bother. He was clearly exhausted, waiting to go to bed. Due to her own selfishness, she shouldn't keep him up.
"Come."
Yoona pointed to herself. "Me? Come? Uh sure."
She took a step a step forward.
Without a warning, Minhyun rested his head against her stomach. His eyes were closed as if he was going to sleep.
"Even though we saw each other yesterday,I missed you too," he whispered. "But I didn't want to wake you up." They both had similar problems in a way. Not wanting to bother the other person yet wanting to see them so much.
Yoona let out a giggle. "Oh G.o.d. We're so cheesy." "The cheesiest," he agreed.
She placed her hand behind of his head, gently running her fingers through his hair. "Do you have a lot more work to do still?"
"Yeah. Right now, I have a lot of things to look over. After the Moon situation finishes though, I will have lots more time on my hands. I'm sorry."
She shook her head. "It's fine. I guess the only time we can see each other is at night huh?"
He snuggled his head into her body. He let out a hum. "Yeah."
"I wish there was a way to stay with you longer. There is so much we need to talk about," she said with a sigh. Her words may come off as selfish but she couldn't hide her true feelings.
Minhyun looked up, his eyes glistening with mischief. A sudden idea popping in his head. "There is a way. Are you sure you agree."
Yoona c.o.c.ked her head. "Sure! What is your meth-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Minhyun leaned back, pulling her with him against the bed. She landed on top of his st.u.r.dy body with his arms wrapped around her.
"Come sleep in my bed with me."
