Secretary Kim was shocked to see his boss act differently than normal. Of course, there was no smile on his face, but the air around him changed. It was a lot lighter. Anyone else in the company wouldn't have notice since Minhyun was still stoic, but as someone who was by the boss's side almost 24/7, Secretary Kim was quick to realize.
Since Secretary Kim was in charge of Minhyun's schedule, he knew that his boss was with Yoona yesterday. Was she the reason for his change of mood?
Impossible. How can a single girl make such a difference in his boss in such a short time? No matter how much importance she had, it was just too surprising. Boss wasn't even this happy when they secured an important business deal last year! Secretary Kim had been by Minhyun's side since the young man entered the company. There had never been an instance like this.
Sure, his boss was delightful around Miss. Yoona, but his mood never changed at work. Ever. They were two different personalities that never mixed together. Unless the girl was mentioned in conversation, there was no positive emotions that arose in his boss.
Secretary Kim let out a grand smile.
"It seems as though you are in a good mood sir," he said after taking a bow.
They were currently on the first floor. The employees all silently watched the exchange as it was a rare occasion for them to see the CEO. Everyone wanted to take glimpse of the esteemed man. Usually, he would quickly leave for the elevators, yet today there was a slight pause. Although it was for a few seconds, for the workers it was enough.
"Am I?" Minhyun asked as the two walked to the elevators. All the other workers moved out of the way to let the CEO walk comfortably to his destination. They all bowed as he pa.s.sed by.
Secretary Kim nodded. "Yes sir. It is great to see."
"Interesting."
A flicker of emotion flashed in Minhyun's eyes as Secretary Kim's words dawned him, but he stayed silent.
They stopped in front of the elevator and once the doors opened, the two stepped inside. First Minhyun and then Secretary Kim, before the worker pressed the b.u.t.ton to bring them to the top floor.
"Schedule." Minhyun demanded while they went up the floors.
Secretary Kim brought out his trusty tablet before opening up their calendar. "Ah yes, at ten you have a meeting with the executive of the business department, Yoo Jeun-suk for the new product launching. When one hits, you have a meeting with the owners of Yunue Studios on the partners.h.i.+p deal we are trying to obtain. This will be a lunch meeting involving the president and the main director of his company, as well as some other key representatives. I shall go over the details further on our car ride there. Other works include..."
Minhyun listened in carefully Although Secretary Kim managed his schedules, he liked to remember them himself to get a general idea on how his day was to go.
"... And finally at nine, I am going to do my presentation about the new project."
The team that Secretary Kim was going to build. Although unreliable, after finding out about the new hacker, Minhyun became quite interested in this particular project. Knowing Secretary Kim's skills, there may be a chance for this to go smoothly.
In all honesty, his only big wish for this project was to ultimately bring the Moon group to peril. From what he gathered, out of all the coders, only White Mask had solved through the company security and had the talents to complete the tasks. If they could get White Mask to complete more work, than perhaps this could all work.
He would never trust them, but as long as they got the work done, that was all that mattered for now. If Secretary Kim picked the right candidates, Minhyun would only need to give them a little scare to stray away from betraying him in the meantime.
His expectations weren't too high, but they wasn't a zero.
Business was a game full of probabilities with a mixture of luck, talent, intelligence, experience, and power. For Minhyun, after staying in the game for years, he based all his pieces on these characteristics. Therefore, even a single percent was not to be frowned upon, unless he fully decides that it is garbage.
A ring entered their ears and the door opened. Once Minhyun took a step forward, the look in his eyes changed. Back to the President Chae Minhyun everyone knew.
