We were hidden within the clouds, our breaths even and gentle. It was the veritable calm before the storm and it only needed one strike to get this party moving. I had no idea what kind of G.o.d he was, or rather the G.o.d of what. His clothes were primitive and archaic; being made of dark brown fur and tanned leather. Of course they just looked like that, he was a G.o.d so the clothes on his body definitely can't be anything normal.

But seeing him like this, not dressed or geared up in anyway like a modern warrior made me realize that some people's ascension to G.o.dhood was akin to being made a picture. You're granted the irrefutable power of the universe, and control over a domain. The power to make and unmake reality as you will it. But some of them are stuck in that moment, never changing, never evolving. Just a G.o.d.

The chakram he was standing on seemed to glint in under the glow of the setting sun, and my sword did just the same, vibrating in my grasp impatient for the clash that was to come. And then it did.

*Whoos.h.!.+*

I didn't see him move, I didn't even sense him or even felt him. What I did feel however was a ma.s.sive club with spikes on it slamming into my chest as I was thrown backwards through the clouds and my divine fire souls were scattered by the shockwave from the impact. He was strong, stronger than me, and faster too. I wad completely out matched, but this would not be the first time I was facing odds that were stacked against me.

I wad able to bring my momentum to a halt, clearing a significant amount of thick whit clouds around me. But I could do nothing but raise my s.h.i.+eld just in time for him to appear with a downward swing towards my head. The speed of his club falling was even hard enough to leave lacerations on my face, arriving with a sonic boom that made it seem like he just appeared right in front of me.

*Cras.h.!.+*

For the first time ever since my sword and s.h.i.+eld were made, my s.h.i.+eld was blasted into a million pieces and I was thrown backwards or rather downwards, falling with a speed that would make meteorite green with envy. I was falling with so much force that I couldn't bring myself to a stop, or rather you could say I'm not in the right frame of mind to do so.

My brain was so rattled and I could feel a dull ache from my left arm, I'm sure it's broken. An so the wind rushed past me, blowing my hair every which way and into my face with reckless abandon, bringing me down until finally.

*BOOOOM!*

I landed right on a mountain that covered hundreds of kilometers, leaving behind a crater so deep, all a person could see if they peered into it was darkness. Both my legs were bent at an awkward angle, so were my arms and almost all of my ribs and....I guess you could just say that I was squashed to a b.l.o.o.d.y pulp, golden blood slowly pooling around my injured body. I looked up at the little pin p.r.i.c.k of light above me and couldn't help but curse out loud.

"f.u.c.k! I'm going to kill that barbarian!"

*Pop!* *Crack!* *Pop!* "f.u.c.k my life! Arghhhhhhhhhhh!"

I've healed from injuries before, but never this intense and not this fast. In seconds every last drop of blood around me and every broken bone and bruised tissue within my body was mended. Even then it took a lot of energy out of me, so much so that I felt so weak and unable to stand on my own two feet. I leaned on my sword, heaving as I tried to catch my breath, and that's when I felt him coming; rus.h.i.+ng down the crater with a speed that could be described as a flash. I gritted my teeth in anger and yelled out, sending the hint of my sword upwards in blind rage and guided by instinct, right into his well chiseled jaw.

*Boom!*

There was a ma.s.sive shockwave that blasted the rocks around the crater, causing it to cave in, but I was long gone by then. After my sword hilt slammed into his jaw, there was just that one fraction of a second where all I could hear was the sound of sweet chin music, that b.l.o.o.d.y jaw of his being crushed into pieces, and as drop of his blood falling into my mouth before he was blasted out of the crater at twice the speed with which he came in, and I followed hot on his heels.

The taste of his divine blood on my tongue almost drove me mad. It was just a drop, but it had driven me into a frenzy that I could not extricate myself from, I wanted more, desperately, and it would only take one wrong turn for me to be no different than a beast. However in that moment I remembered that above all else I was still a vampire, G.o.d or not. And I've not had a drop of blood since waking up from my coma, and my body had to be aged by a over two centuries just to speed up the process of my healing. Now I'm a G.o.d, and with the appet.i.te of a G.o.d you could say that I'm hungry, very hungry.

From the look of things this G.o.d doesn't handle taking a hit as well as I can, (if you exclude the very pathetic state I was in just a few moments ago) but the crux of the matter was that I couldn't let him have any sort of respite or rest, he was too powerful to be allowed time to rest or come up with a strategy. So as he flew up I had the divine fire souls lying in wait for him, and as soon as he was back within the confines of the clouds they opened fire.

The sun was already setting, but combined with their a.s.sault of fire and energy it painted the world in a beautiful yet deadly orange red, and the G.o.d's roar of indignation could be heard. Guess his furs might have gotten a little singed. I shot up towards him, throwing my sword at his unsuspecting back, only for him to turn and catch it by the blade.

But I expected that, which was why I teleported behind him and used my soul energy to create a ma.s.sive hammer that I unceremoniously smashed into his huge skull, sending him flying into some clouds my sword escaping from his grasp and jumping back in mine. I just did something I was never able to do before I became a G.o.d, but I had no time to bask in the pride that came from being able to manifest my soul energy into the final state of matter....a solid object!

I lined my fire souls around me and waited for his counter attack, and sure enough it came, but not in the form I expected. His club and chakram which so far has not been a part of the fight came flying at me and my divine souls. They were moving too fast for me to be able to weave s.h.i.+eld in my defense, I had no time to make a choice, and the edge of that chakram was spinning dangerously within light of the almost set sun.

I might have not been able to act, but the divine souls made the choice for me. They lined themselves up and created an air tight s.h.i.+eld formation in front of me, and just in time to. The chakram and the club slammed into the souls and there was a loud explosion of cosmic proportions. It was so powerful that I wad thrown backwards for kilometers upon kilometers of land and desert, and beneath me the land itself developed a ma.s.sive fissure and crack as that explosion itself seemed to have destabilized the entire planet.

But it wasn't just the shockwave that I felt, I was also terribly burnt in the process, and while it was healing, it still hurt like a b.i.t.c.h. The air felt hot, so much so that it felt difficult for even me to breathe. I knew there was some sort of poison within the air, but from the look of things, I was immune to whatever effects it caused. I felt weak, drained, like a part of me was missing, and I knew it was because my divine fire souls were dead, all of them.

(s.h.i.+ELD)

At least I could still weave, and I made a ma.s.sive rune circle that served as a platform for me to rest my weakened body. But it was not just the lack of energy and the suddenly increasing bouts of weakness that got me, it was the intense feeling of hunger I was feeling. My fangs had finally made their way out of my gums after such a long time, and they ached something fierce, combined with an itch I couldn't do anything about.

*Zuzuzuzuzuz!*

My eyes widened a bit as i moved back a bit and swung my sword to the side, deflecting the spinning chakram that was heading for my throat. I didn't hesitate as I used my left hand to call out my hand gun and pointed it at the spiked club that was also flying towards my face.

*Bang!*

The club was blasted backwards into the hands of it's master, who looked very different from the version that I was just fighting a few minutes ago. For one, the guy was 30 feet tall, buff, had a beard, had horns and had one b.i.t.c.hing a.s.s mother*%#$+&$ tail! What the h.e.l.l!

All of a sudden I felt a pressure that forced my face to the surface of my own rune. Safe to say I was f.u.c.king p.i.s.sed off, and I didn't just want to kill this dude, I wanted to f.u.c.king eat him!

"G.o.d King Kael! What a joke you are. You think just because you just became a G.o.d, it gives you the right to match up to your betters, how is that working out for you. I have been a G.o.d for ten million years, a G.o.d of adventures, a war G.o.d you pathetic piece of s.h.i.+t! You can never match me, you! A minor G.o.d of some f.u.c.king lesser domain! Know your place! You think you're on the side of goodness and light, that you have power, please remind me again what you're the G.o.d of?"

I had no way to respond to him, but that wad probably because I was busy having my face smashed into the glowing blue surface of a f.u.c.king rune. I refuse to believe that I was weak, I know I'm not. The problem is I've just been fighting like a mortal all this while, I was more than that. I was more that just a G.o.d of a minor domain.

Well then I guess I should tell him what I'm the G.o.d of, just to clear up the confusion. And even better I should do it while I'm pounding that cow face of his into the mud, who the f.u.c.k does he think he is. He brought me to me knees, planted my face on the ground! (Sort of), I'm not just going to kill him, I'm going to make an example out of him.

"DIVINE AVATAR!"

And then the world got smaller.
