Supreme Origin: Time King 230 Xxii Royal Guard Captain

When Elijah and Yalli walked to the gates, both guards standing next to it had tense expressions. Being celestials how could they not feel how scary was the technique used by this golden-haired man. Not having any understanding of time laws, they would not know what really happen just that a man without any cultivation summoned countless shadows and killed the mercenaries.

Seeing he was approaching, the first guard turned to his friend."Yoit, have you seen anyone fighting like that? I thought only paragons and saints could summon creatures." 

Step by step, Elijah slowly walked towards the gate. By the time he arrive both he and Yalli took their AI's and showed to the guards who released a light shriek before a.s.suming a respectful instance to Elijah. The respect close to adoration the void clan felt for the time clan was something Elijah only understood by the time he arrived. And while those two guards were on the lowest stage of the tenth step, they would certainly know a thing or two like how names worked making them reach the same answer.

'Just like our clan, those with "Ry" in their names are all those with the highest ranks in their clan. Like how our royal family has the names beginning with "Ya". 

"Master Ryn please enter. The city is about to have its annual tournament starting in two days so you choose a good time to arrive." Both guards received Elijah and Yalli warmly and the gates easily open for them. Inside the city Elijah stared at the sky and saw that huge dome around it had vanished and replaced by a beautiful purple sky. In terms of size Eternia was really small, the size of valhalla academy's dormitories, yet using expansed dimension and pocket s.p.a.ces, its true size was bigger than the eyes could see.

Right at the center of the city, a huge silver palace stood out from all other buildings in the area with a single bridge connecting the frontal garden to the entrance. Heading streight the front garden, several men and women all with the dense aura of void laws were standing on the garden's entrance. They wore the same silver-black uniform made of pure void energy, from the back of those people, a female wearing a slightly different uniform from the others with a purple scale armor with silver lines over her uniform stared at Elijah and Yalli approaching figure and she maintained her expression for a second before recovering. The way she look at Yalli also changed as she recognized his ident.i.ty.

Before the two could even get closer, the female guard stepped forward embracing the slightly startled Yalli. "Yalli! When I heard your father's position was taken I was worried you would have been taken by Yilk and his mercenaries. Oh, it seems you also completed your first transformation and became a female now, at least only the first transformation is uncontrollable. The few next would only happen when your present bodies dies."

"I know sis Ya.s.sia, but sis is the captain of this branch of the royal guard, you shouldn't act like this in front of your subordinates."

 Elijah stood by the side with a smile on his face watching the two former acquaintances enjoy their reunion for a moment. Maybe because everything was easy in this timeline, the present him was going to a path where life meant nothing to him, he grew arrogant and felt like others were insignificant to him only to understand how important and precious life really was when he faced the feeling of powerless and complete despair before a really powerful being. 

He still had the souls of those who cosmos turned into primal beasts and now he was thinking of how to repay them for their loss as well as the souls of those mercenaries from before. "I think I understanding now why "he" is doing all of this... Why this power was given to me and why i won't let all of this be taken."

Every soul had their destiny set in stone the moment they are born, in the long path of life countless doors will open that will lead to different reaction and results. Some may achieve greatness early in their path then find death soon after or have a mediocre start before a sudden rise in the future. However all of them shared the same common fate, death. "Ryn, Ryn..." When he returned to reality Elijah saw Yalli pulling his sleeve while pouting. She had been calling his name for five minutes without answer and she was already getting angry.

"I'm sorry." Elijah raised the corner of his lips in a embarra.s.sed smile. He truly lost himself in his own thoughts. Petting her short hair with his hand, he turned his vision to the female captain.

"So little brat wouldn't you introduce me to this elder sister of yours?" Yalli shaked his hand away with her face fully red while Ya.s.sia laughed at the side. It has been a few days since this cousin of hers became a female and is already so girlish in the way she reacted and moved.

"Can you stop touching my head, it tickles." Stomping on the ground angrily, she rushed to hide behind Ya.s.sia. "The woman in front of you is Ya.s.sia, my cousin and current captain of the royal guard in the city of Eternia. Sis, this man here is my saviour, you can call him Ryn."

"Ryn? Time clan?"

Gving a slight bow, Elijah stood a few meters away."Correct, it's a pleasure to meet captain Ya.s.sia."

He was somewhat vulnerable at the moment and he knew being too close to someone with such intense and powerful energy could be harmful to him. Truth be told any of the mercenaries from before could defeat him if they ignored his strange powers and attacked from the start, he was just acting powerful after all, if a single attacked before he could use the shadow of time, he would be disabled at least.

"No, there is no need for formalities, call me Elder sis like this brat over here. So why are the two of you here today, the palace is closed for the time being as there is going to have a huge baquet with the leaders of the greatest factions all here. No even I can enter the palace, it seems they are going to have an important matter to discuss. Their expression brightened when hearing this. Seeing the way they looked at her like puppies that saw water for the first time in weeks, she explained: "I said there is a chance, nothing is really certain. For this tournament, one of the prizes for first place is a invite to partic.i.p.ate in the banquet. However I should warn first that the this year's tournament is a team battle of four vs four and the new team enrollment ended four days ago."

From the way she said it, they don't have any chance to partic.i.p.ate in the tournament, but they were still confused to why she said they had a chance. "From what i heard the is a single team with only two members. I remember their names being Ava and Evelynne, both eight level specters partic.i.p.ating in the mortal tournament, you two can try to see if they can accept you, then if you win you entrance to the palace is certain."
