Supreme Origin: Time King 247 Xvii Void Star Formation

Hearing Yawen's declaration to her entire clan made Elijah felt happy in his heart. If he took the amount of time he was close to nothing compared to the experiences and memories he had of his other lives. However, he also came to understand that this was all part of his path and the duties he had on his shoulders

 Elijah steps forward, his eyes s.h.i.+ning brightly when the whole different aura spread out. It wasn't the aura of an expert or from cultivation level, but a prideful and n.o.ble aura coming directly from his soul. 

 "Yawen, there is no need to interfere because I will speak it myself."Elijah leaps off the platform and landed on the ground in a graceful way. He has just stepped on the stage when he continued: "If you are unhappy about it, you are free to challenge me using your clan's rules."

 "Okay." Knowing Elijah wasn't affected by his cultivation, Ya.s.sil knew there was no other way. "Then let's have a Void Star Duel."

 Per the rules of the void race, when two people or more started a dispute for something, any of them could initiate the Void Star Duel. And if the other party also accepts, they would be sent to the void star formation built in every city. The formation would suppress their cultivation, turning them into powerful mortals. The use of laws or any other power wasn't permitted, it was a simple all-out physical combat between the partic.i.p.ants.

 It didn't mean you could steal a person's wife or husband like this as losing in the battle only mean the loser had to give up and not have anything with the subject anymore. However, it was up to the person in question if she/he would be together with the winner. The loser could also date his/her wife or husband in secret. The worse it could happen to Elijah was for him to lose and not be seen with Yawen in public.

 'I understand why Yawen said this, even if I lose, we won't be seen together in public ever again which wasn't that of a problem. But who said i wish to keep our relations.h.i.+p in secret.' It was clear Yawen chose this option because it would be the one to cause him the least of danger. To Yawen, she believed it was good enough if she could enjoy his company by himself. There was also the universal core aiming for him, and with his present state she could accept sacrificing a small part of their relations.h.i.+p to help maintain his security.

 Her clone and Aina were also not that far away, with both of them, Ca.s.sie, Elliot and Aina they could easily help him escape if anything goes wrong. 

 "So this is the void star formation? Pretty good." Elijah said to himself, his eyes observing the huge empty s.p.a.ce with that single black star hanging above them. He could not feel any energy in the air, which made him a little surprised with how formidable it was. Void laws were known for the ability to negate other energies, but Void in fact was also an energy type.

 And at this moment he could not feel the slightest movement of laws in this place. He focused on the interior of his body and noticed the power of time flowing in his body. It was good to know the laws of time bestowed by the supreme origin are immune to this formation.

 "I'm the spirit of the formation as well as the judge of this duel. The rules are the same as in the laws of the clan, no cultivation, no powers, no killing or potions and powering drugs. The techniques and martial arts previously learned can be used as long as no energy in infused into it. The loser shall leave the princess and not interfere with her matters ever again. Are the two of you clear?" A voice sounded in the back of their minds.

 "Aye. I accept the fighting on these rules."

 "There is no reason for this prince to reject either."

 Seeing the two of them agree to the terms and rules of the duel. The voice sounded with a hint of joy. "Perfect, if both of you are ready, then this duel can start."

 The moment the last words sounded, both Elijah and Ya.s.sil vanished at the same time. Moving their feet in similar ways, they left several afterimages as they engaged in close combat in the center of the formation.

 "What is that. How can the two use the safe footwork?" A middle-aged aged man with cultivation on the eight realms in the marked shouted with surprise while staring at the image in the sky. He was startled by the sudden burst of speed and the use of a similar footwork by the two.

 A female of the void clan nearby heard his voice and replied. "Didn't you know? This is the one of the most well known skills in the clan. Void Steps!"

 The shop-owner was listening to the two before raising his voice. "That isn't an outsider. That man on the screen is Elijah Branches. I heard he was trained by Lady Yawen before they got together. He even managed to merge lightning and void into the void lightning. It was supposed to be a fusion on the same level as the tempest laws of the tempest clan."

 "This is really all you can do. If so, you are unworthy of Yawen!" Elijah launched his hammer forward before it was blocked by Ya.s.sil's left saber. With another movement of his feet, his image appeared behind Elijah. Slas.h.i.+ng his two sabers down at the man, Ya.s.sil was only able to see his saber pa.s.sing through the body.

 'An afterimage.' Ya.s.sil exclaimed, and Elijah appeared on the other side breathing deeply as he cleaned the blood on the corner of his mouth.
