"Finally!" Aldarion shouted, looking at the dejected sky. Aldarion had been traveling for almost two weeks. In theory the trip was not going to last as long, but both in the Woody End and in Green-Hill Country it was lost and it took several days to find the correct route.

'If I did not have to hide and go unnoticed I would have arrived earlier.' Aldarion could not help complaining. If he did not have to deal with his brother finding him, he could ask people the right way or better yet, he could use the East Road and surely he would already be at his destination.

Aldarion had lost most of the time in the forest. The forest was very leafy and he had never been in such a place, it was very easy for him to get lost.

In his previous life he had practically never left the urban environment and the few times he had been in a rural environment was still too populated for a forest to remain in this state. Moreover, Aldarion would dare to say that he does not believe that in the modern era there are forests as thick and leafy as the one he had just crossed. Except, of course, forests like the Amazon.

Aldarion was delighted with all the nature he was seeing and it goes without saying that he could breathe a totally clean air. The latter could not do anyone in his old life or going to the deepest mountain in nature.

In fact, one of the reasons behind Aldarion's loss was that he was distracted by whatever he saw. When he arrived at the Green-Hill Country he was amazed by the landscape he saw. Everything was green and there were areas where the green was stained in different colors by the flowers. Aldarion affirmed to himself that he had never been in such a beautiful place.

'No wonder the Hobbits do not want to leave the s.h.i.+re.' Aldarion told himself at that moment. For him, it was like a small paradise of beauty and tranquility within the world.

Right now Aldarion was at the western end of the Country of the Green Hills. If he looked at the horizon he could even see a group of Hobbits holes on the side of a hill.

'If my memory does not fail me in this area should be the home of the Tooks, Tookbank. And if I'm not mistaken, what I see must be Tookbank.' Certainly, Aldarion thought that, but he was not 100 percent sure either because the map might not indicate all the villages, he did not know how accurate the map was. .

Apart from the home of the Tooks, in front of this, you could see very extensive fields. Aldarion thought that it would also belong to the Tooks.

'I have to be very careful if I want them not to see me around here.' Aldarion thought to himself. The truth is that apart from not wanting to attract attention, he was sure that the Took did not want to see anyone wandering through their lands. Especially if he is a stranger and needless to say someone who is not a hobbit.

Seeing that the crop was grown and that if he crossed it no one would see it, he waited until nightfall to cross it. Being at night, Aldarion made sure not to run into any hobbit in the middle of the fields, besides diminis.h.i.+ng the chances of being seen.

During the time he had to wait, Aldarion took the opportunity to rest a little and practice with his sword and bow. Aldarion had been unable to practice the sword for a few days and if he did not use it, he thought he could forget how to use it. At least, during the time he was in the forest he found some animals to hunt and he was able to practice the bow.

When the sun went down, Aldarion resumed his march across the fields making as little noise as possible so as not to attract the attention of the vigilantes of the Took family.

Without realizing it, Aldarion had already moved far enough from the Tookbank so he started walking normally. Of course, always aware of whether he heard any noise around him.

Aldarion had already got used to doing this while walking. At the beginning it was quite difficult and he had to concentrate a lot so that it exhausted him, but the third time he did a notification of the system he warned him that he had acquired the skill of 'Detection'. Since then he no longer had to concentrate almost and could walk practically normal.

Aldarion kept walking for a few hours, but seeing that he had already walked a good distance, he looked for a safe place to camp and rest. When it was night he did not want to risk being injured. If there was a full moon, he would have dared to continue walking, but with the level of darkness there is a lot of risk.

Finding a good place, Aldarion lit a small fire and started cooking one of the rabbits that he had previously hunted and kept in his inventory.

Another skill I had managed to acquire in those days was 'Cook' and even though it was of the lowest level Aldarion was very grateful with the system because, since he acquired it, he started to get a lot more tasty food.

Aldarion did not understand how the skill worked, after all, what he did was cook a rabbit in the bonfire without using salt or any kind of spices. He did not understand how the taste could vary. What Aldarion did know was that he was delighted and grateful.

When Aldarion finished cooking the rabbit and ate it, he lay down on the ground by the fire and fell asleep.

...

In another place a couple of days away from where Aldarion was camping an elf watched the starry sky from the window of his room.

The elf was very tall and beautiful. Its main characteristic was its long silver hair and its blue eyes.

"So... someone important is coming..." With a calm expression the elf whispered in the air while looking at the distant horizon.
