She didn't have the courage to do that to him. She loves him, yes and that was the only thing she could do to him.

Ren s.h.i.+yuan remained quiet for a while, looking at the ring he gave her earlier. He felt his heart being stabbed a million times. The clenching of his heart was suffocating him. He never thought of this outcome. HE thought that Nian Jiezhen's feelings for him were deep enough. He thought that he would be able to change her mind and yet, there they were,  on the verge of breaking up.

What should he do? He wanted to beg but no words would come out from his mouth. It was as if the strength of his body left him.

He clenched his fists tight and forced himself to look at her cold gaze. "Bulls.h.i.+t! Do you think this will be over just because you said so?!"

"Yes. I know that news about your proposal will circulate… You can wait for a few weeks and announce our break up. Your fans wouldn't doubt you. You have multiple breakups with other women, this should be nothing."
