In the middle of the completely white planet, a single wooden house could be see far in the horizon.
The lights of the rooms were turned on, and in the outside of the house, multiple vehicles could be seen parked just outside the house.
There was some big Mechs, Hoverbikes and a singular s.p.a.ce shuttle.
Voices could be heard coming from inside the wooden house that was strong enough to withstand the howling winds.
Hurried footsteps walked around, stomping on the floor with their heavy boots, coming and going from the first floor to the second one.
"Sir..." A Nova Rebellion soldier approached a red-haired young man wearing gla.s.ses that was seated on the fluffy couch made of some kind of animal's fur.
His seating position was completely casual and relaxedly, like there was nothing that could perturb him. "Yes?" He responded to the soldier that called out for him, his voice was dragged, and somewhat sleepy.
He turned around faced the soldier.
It was a handsome red-haired young man, Jevil.
He was wearing a complete black suit with a red tie that matched his hair color.
In his hand there was a small cup of gla.s.s filled with wine that he would from time to time sip a little.
"We...we couldn't find her..." The soldier said slowly and in a low tone, afraid to perturb Jevil any longer. His voice slightly trembled as he spoke, "The equipments she used to hack our base had been uncovered, but they were all destroyed. All evidences had been completely...wiped out."
Jevil closed his eyes and rested his head the back of the couch. "This isn't a good news..." He said with a small smile on his face.
He turned around and faced the twenty guards he brought to him in this mission.
"You can all stop now. There's nothing we can do..." Jevil helplessly sighed and drank a mouthful of wine. "Arianne...TBug..." He mumbled some names under his breath. "Looks like Ferris was one step ahead of me this time. I never thought the notorious hacker TBug was in fact Arianne, an important p.a.w.n for Ferris."
The soldier worriedly glanced at Jevil. All them knew the consequences of the hacker escaping. They would probably all die in the next few days, but they weren't worried about their own lives, they were worried about Jevil's life.
They were loyal soldiers, trained since birth by the Nova Rebellion to be fully dedicated to their cause.
All them were wearing the signature light weight armors with the signature blue and green coloration while carrying Maliwan elemental weapons across their chests.
Between the twenty of the soldiers, only two were humans, the other ones came from all the other sentient races, Floran, Apex, Hylotl, Glitch, Novakid and Avian.
The Nova Rebellion had open doors to whoever was unsatisfied with the political situation of the universe.
Most the Avians that joined them want nothing more than destroy the Holy Kluex Church that reign over the Avians people for thousands of years.
The Apexes joined wanting to free their race from the dictator Big Ape and the authoritarian thought control of the Miniknog.
The Florans left their tribe to experience a life outside those closed society of theirs, they wanted more than just be a strong warrior.
The Hylotl wanted to leave their country that was under political strife and experience something bigger, to travel around the universe to collect more knowledge.
The Glitches that joined the Rebellion were banned from their kingdoms after they started to show some more liberal and democratic views.
And the Novakids, well...mostly joined just for the fun of it.
Each person in the Rebellion want to see a different world, a different place.
It be worst than the one they had currently, but they wanted changes, it doesn't matter what kind of change.
And to achieve those objectives they were more than willing to give up on their lives to protect people that could help them change the world, and Jevil was one of them.
Jevil was way more important than all of their lives combined. So, they were already thinking of a way to let Jevil leave alive and return to the headquarters, even if it means to sacrifice themselves.
"She really want to end me..." Jevil's lips moved upwards into a thin smile.
*Blam*
"Master Jevil!!!" A soldier hurriedly charged into the house while heavily knocking the door on his way.
"..." Jevil frowned in displeasure when he saw the noisy soldier.
The other ones in the house switched their eyesight and stared at the newcomer with displeasure and anger.
The young soldier broke in cold sweat as he felt the pointy glares fixated on his body. He swallowed hard and spoke with some difficulty, "We are just receiving a request for a private call... it's Ferris Laparte."
Jevil's eyebrows jumped when he heard what the soldier had to say.
"Patch it through." He lazily said. After the initial surprise, Jevil quickly recovered himself and spoke.
[She probably want to gloat at my defeat in her hands...] Jevil thought about it and was only able to come to this conclusion.
One of the soldiers at Jevil's side nodded ant took a small cubic object from his PIPS and placed in the middle of the room, facing Jevil.
After the object was in position, Jevil inched closer and clicked to accept the call on the floating screen of his PIPS.
A small hole opened on the top of the cube and from that dark hole rays of blue light exploded out from there and slowly formed some images.
It took a few seconds for the light to stop flickering and stabilize.
The cubic object was nothing more than a advanced projector, it had better image and security quality than the usual PIPS everybody use.
These projectors were used to make hard for hackers to find their way into someone else's PIPS and thus steal confidential information.
With the stabilization of the call, the hologram showed a single beautiful woman.
She was Ferris Laparte.
