Gregory smiled and did not respond, then kissed the back of Gu Mengmeng’s hand again.

Even if it was the back of her hand, it was a huge relief and bliss for Gregory to be allowed to kiss so openly.

“So long as I am thinking of you, it will be for my entire life.” After Gregory said that, he held Gu Mengmeng with one hand and the other placed on her shoulders, as he said, “I still have to go to the stream, firstly so that I can collect your food today, and secondly to introduce Lucas to Auretin. You know how protective Auretin is over food, I’m afraid that if Lucas went alone, Auretin would not give him any.”

Gu Mengmeng nodded, then smiled and said, “Then hurry, I will wait for you at home.”

There were two key words – ‘home’ and ‘wait’.

Gregory felt his heart tighten, then he kissed Gu Mengmeng’s hand again, before letting her go reluctantly and flying off.

Gu Mengmeng sat by the fire and used the tree branch to poke the fire, causing it to burn even stronger, but the smile on her face gradually faded.

Her left hand held her chest as she felt that something was making her feel uneasy.

By right, everything was progressing well.

With not just Sandy’s entire family, but also the entire Wolf Clan and 16 tribes around Hede and Jialue , it would be difficult for Cole to do anything alone and would not be able to stand up against them.

Gu Mengmeng sat like this in a daze until Gregory came back.

Gregory took the tree branch in her hand that had been burnt to a small piece remaining and threw it into the fire. He hugged her gently and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Yeah.” Gregory adjusted the beast skin on Gu Mengmeng’s body and looked at her with worried eyes, asking, “What were you thinking just now? You did not even realise when I returned.”

Gu Mengmeng lowered her head and said, “Nothing, I just suddenly felt uneasy… Say, you don’t think there would be anything happening when I collect Love of the Sky?”

Gregory hugged Gu Mengmeng even tighter and placed his chin above her head. Using his deep voice, he said, “Don’t worry, you still have me.”

Gu Mengmeng nodded and laughed softly, “By right, I am a Beast King, you are a third-level beast, I should be stronger than you. But strangely, when you hug me like this, I feel safe for some reason and all my anxiety is gone.”

“Alright, if you feel uneasy in the future, I shall always hug you like this.” Gregory smiled while responding, his gaze gentle and determined.

The next day would be when the wind would stop.
