The next day... Naruto and the others were waiting for their Jounin sensei. Naruto wanted to play a prank, Sakura was scolding Naruto while inside she gave thumps up to Naruto. Sasuke commented that a Jounin would never fall for a cheap trick like that.

After awhile kakas.h.i.+ came in and got hit by Naruto's prank. Naruto laughed hard, Sasuke had a disbelieving expression seeing a Jounin fall for a trick and Sakura said okay inside while on the outside she tried to explain.

After that little fiasco, Kakas.h.i.+ and team 7 grouped outside.

Kakas.h.i.+: Introduce yourself.

Sakura: introduce ourselves? What should we say?

Kakas.h.i.+:Say your dreams, your likes and dislikes..like that

Naruto: Hey, why don't you introduce yourself first sensei.

Kakas.h.i.+: My name is Hatake Kakas.h.i.+. I don't plan to tell kids about my likes and dislikes and as for my dream...I do have a few hobbies

Sakura: Training. Why are doing training in a mission?. We had plenty of that in the academy.

Naruto raised his hands: What kind of training is it?

Kakas.h.i.+ just laughed. Sakura seeing this asked annoyed: What's so funny?

Kakas.h.i.+: You are gonna be surprised when I say this. Only 9 Graduates among the 27 is gonna become Genins the rest are gonna be sent back to the academy. Which means there is a drop out rate of 66 percent.

All three of them were shocked. Naruto was a bit a daunted but he still believed in his own strength. Sakura motivated herself by saying that this is a test of love. Sasuke just tightened his hands.

Kakas.h.i.+: Meet me tomorrow at 6 am morning. Now then meeting over. Also don't eat breakfast...you will throw up.

The next morning....

All of them met up early. Naruto and Sakura was still sleepy. They waited till morning 10am before Kakas.h.i.+ finally showed up. He gave a lame excuse again.

Kakas.h.i.+: Cough... Alright the timer is set to 12pm. You have to get these bell from me. If you fail you will be tied to those poles and watch me eat lunch

Naruto, Kakas.h.i.+ and Sakura ' So that's why he told us not to eat breakfast '

Kakas.h.i.+ showed two small Bells to them. Sakura noticed there was only two bells.

Sakura: But there is only two.

Kakas.h.i.+: Yes. One of you will be tied to the pole and he will be sent back to the academy. So come at me with the intent to kill otherwise you may fail. Alright..Ready ... start.

Naruto didn't rush to Kakas.h.i.+ like in the anime. He created some distance

Naruto launched an attack towards Kakas.h.i.+. Sakura and Sasuke were shocked when they saw Naruto performing a Jutsu with such ease.

Kakas.h.i.+: So Ryu did teach you. This is going to be hard.

Kakas.h.i.+ did the same Jutsu and cancelled it out.

Naruto: Guys fall back!!

Sasuke reacted fast enough and retreated. Sakura was slower than the boys but still retreated with enough time. Both of them were astonished when they saw Naruto serious. This isn't the usual knucklehead they know.

Sasuke was the first to speak up: Naruto..how did you suddenly become... strong.

Naruto puffed his chest: I was always strong dattebayo!!

Sasuke snorted: Dream on. I bet it was your brother who taught you.

Naruto humphed. Sakura calmed them both,

Sakura: We need to have a plan otherwise we won't stand a chance.

Sasuke nodded at looked at Naruto: How many Jutsus do you know?

Naruto: I know wind and lightning style Jutsus.

Sasuke thought for a bit and further asked the list of Jutsus. While they were forming a plan kakas.h.i.+ was reading his book.

' Naruto suddenly becoming serious was a surprise. Guess Ryu trained him quite a bit.. his body and mind automatically entered battle mode '.

Sasuke concluded his plan: We will go with this. Sakura you are vital in our plan..so stay focused.

Sakura nodded. Naruto encouraged: Don't worry Sakura Chan. If anything happens I will help you.

Kakas.h.i.+ was leaning on a tree reading his book when a kunai came at him. He caught it and said: You have to do better.

Naruto jumped out and produced a few shadow clones

' Wind style: Vacc.u.m blades '

All shadow clones launched Vacc.u.m blades to Kakas.h.i.+. He Created a mud wall to block it and retreated. Before he could gain some distance Sasuke came from his side and threw a kunai to his head.

Kakas.h.i.+ finally got a bit serious. He put away his book and deflected the kunai with his own. ' Naruto and Sasuke came out and attacked. Now...where is Sakura? '

Kakas.h.i.+ took a stance. He eyed Naruto and Sasuke but kept alert. Naruto and his clones rushed to Kakas.h.i.+, he did a few hand signs.

' Lightning style: Paralyse '

His palms produced sparks not like Chidori. This was a self created Jutsu by Ryu. It produces slight amount of lightning chakra which numbs the opponent on contact. This attack is highly effective on close combat.

Kakas.h.i.+ saw this and knew that if he made contact with Naruto's palms it will give an opening. ' So that's their plan. Not bad '

Kakas.h.i.+ deflected each advance of Naruto. Sasuke got behind Kakas.h.i.+

' Fire style: Fire ball Jutsu '

A fire ball was released towards Kakas.h.i.+, he dodged but Sakura suddenly jumped down from a tree and attacked. She threw a kunai to Kakas.h.i.+ and rushed at him with another. Both Naruto and Sasuke took this opportunity. They also rushed to Kakas.h.i.+.

Kakas.h.i.+: When in combined battle, always try to protect your weak link otherwise the whole combination will break.

Saying this Kakas.h.i.+ disappeared and got behind Sakura. He gave her backhand chop. Sakura slightly tilted her body with all her strength and caught his hand. She coiled around his hand like a snake.

Kakas.h.i.+ couldn't move. Naruto did a roundhouse kick while Sasuke gave a powerful kick to Kakas.h.i.+'s gut. Kakas.h.i.+ was launched back but before they could celebrate he turned to smoke.

All of them ' Clone Jutsu '

A kunai was on Sakura's throat when they turned back.

Kakas.h.i.+: I win.

All of them were dejected.

Kakas.h.i.+: You all pa.s.s.

They were stunned for a second. Sakura : But we didn't get the bell.

Kakas.h.i.+: The purpose of this exercise is to test teamwork. Under overwhelming strength all of you were level headed and created a plan. You utilised each of your strengths and caught me..well my clone. But still you didn't try to do anything on your own and relied on your friends. Someone once told me before ' In the s.h.i.+n.o.bi world, those who break the rules are sc.u.m but those who abandon their friends are worse than sc.u.m '

All of you pa.s.s. Tomorrow onwards we will do missions.

Naruto jumped up : Dattebayo! I am ninja! Ninja!

Sasuke smiled. Sakura jumped up and cheered.
