The first thing he saw when he woke up, was his dear sister whom hadn't left his side for the whole night.

"Sister…"

Xiao Huoyan felt both moved and happy to see that Tian Xin didn't blame him to the point of wanting to kill him or anything like that. She still cared for him as her brother and that made Xiao Huoyan unimaginably happy… and thankful.

Now he didn't have to worry about her leaving him alone.

He had a sister. A sister who cared about him… as a part of her family!

"… Thank you!", he whispered.

He got out of bed and carried his sister onto the bed. Then he went to prepare breakfast.

A short while later, Tian Xin woke up.

She was surprised to see that Xiao Huoyan was gone.

A wild thought came to her mind. 'What if he left?!', she thought.

She rushed out of bed and began to search the house. She didn't search for long though. When she pa.s.sed the kitchen, she was surprised to see that Xiao Huoyan was flying a bit above ground. Just barely enough for him to reach everything on the shelf  a little bit above the stove. He was cooking… and it smelled fantastic!

Only after smelling the scent of her dear brother's cooking did she notice how hungry she actually was.

She hadn't eating anything since breakfast the day before.

The sun hadn't even risen, yet she was hungry.

"Good morning sister! You must be hungry! Go on and sit at the table, I'm almost finished!"

He didn't dare to turn around. He was afraid that he'd start crying again if he saw her face.

He tried to keep his sorrow by thinking about how happy and lucky he was to have a wonderful sister such as Tian Xin, who actually cared about him.

That thought alone was enough for him to keep on living.

"… Good morning… brother.", she said with a vague smile on her lips.

Then she sat down at the table while waiting for Xiao Huoyan to finish in the kitchen.

After a short while, Xiao Huoyan finished preparing breakfast. He brought two plates to the table.

"Whoa! Your cooking skills are unparalleled!", Tian Xin exclaimed after tasting Xiao Huoyan's food.

"… Thank you, sister."

"… I don't blame you. If I hadn't insisted on helping even after you told us to stay out of it, mother wouldn't have gone out to save you. You didn't need our help, but I just…"

"Don't blame yourself! Had I not led them here, mother wouldn't have…"

They both just sat there motionlessly for a while. Though they didn't sit like that for long, it felt like an eternity.

"I… None of us killed her. If we just keep on thinking about things we could've done differently… If we keep blaming ourselves, wouldn't her sacrifice have been for nothing?

She died as to make sure that we live. If she knew that we'd blame  ourselves like this, wouldn't she be unhappy?"

They didn't kill Jin Long directly, but they tried to. They were also the reason why Jin Long blew up the whole forest. He did it to kill the people from The Jin Clan. He did it to a.s.sure his son's safety.

"Having a common enemy is positive, hahah!", Tian Xin said while smiling a heart-warming smile.

"Now that I think about it, you're really pretty, sister!"

Even though she sounded arrogant, one could also hear the joking tone in her voice.

Tian Xin and Xiao Huoyan began to laugh in unison.
