Hagrid had a splitting grin that ran from ear to ear as he heard my compliment about his dish, and as I came to the closing remarks, I looked back at him and saw that he had the most foolish smile every, on his face. I cleared my throat rather loudly then that is needed for doing such deed, but it was all so that I could wake up the half giant from the revery and fantasy he must be in. I shook my head to hide the light chuckle, the guy must be at cloud nine right now thanks to finally having somebody like his cooking and praise it.
"Oh! My apologies, Caelum," Hagrid said as he awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "I must have zoned ou' there for a second," Hagrid added as he slightly bowed his head to me in apology, but that foolish smile did not leave his face at all, it was still there on his lips for everyone to see.
Feeling gracious and amiable right now thanks to the excellent food I just eat, I just waved it off with a shrug and bright smile on my face, then told the man. "Don't worry about it, you deserve to have a bit of good fantasy and reverie. It was an excellent meal, so it is justifiable for you to bask in the glory of it for a good while."

Aah, I got to say, feeding a man could do loads of great things for his mood, no people love to sling around that perfectly accurate quote, 'A hungry man is an angry man!' What would be the opposite of that, 'A well-fed man is an amenable man..?' Huh, I need to quote that for myself, even if it is so unoriginal, nevertheless it has been coined by me.
"So your cooking has improved by a lot..." I said in a dragged out manner, not wanting to point out at all that his cooking use to be absolute s.h.i.+t, now that would be an awkward conversation. But still, I am curious as h.e.l.l to find out about how his cooking went from one to hundred.
"Oh, yeh mean why doesn't my food taste like total garbage?" Hagrid asked me with an eyebrow half raised, but there was a playful twinkle in his eyes so I knew he was not offended, but still you got to play it safe, so I answered him back by saying. "Your words not mine!" As I raised both of my hands up in gesture showing that I mean no offense and you cannot place your words on my head.
Hagrid just let loose a large booming roar of amus.e.m.e.nt at my statement and gesture, and he kept up the laughter for what felt like way too long for my taste. I shook my head to myself and sighed, Hagrid is impossible to insult, the man has thick skin both metaphorically and literally, since he is a half giant.
He does shed tears for other people and all types of creatures that have a mishap happen to them, but for him? Nope, and I guess he must have developed very good resistances from all the times that people had insulted him, whether it be his size or his love of all creatures, magical or not.
Anyways, I do not have that sort of skin which is as thick as stone walls of fortresses, so being laughed at right to my face, does not sit well with me at all. Letting free an irritated deep exhale, I spoke up to Hagrid in a tone that expressed equal parts of my displeasure and weariness, "are you done yet?" I asked as I looked at him getting a good chuckle, "it was not even funny, so don't you think this is a bit too excessive?"
Even the dog found my statement true, as he sat down on his hind legs and I swear I saw him rolled his eyes at Hagrid, when he relaxed back down on to the floor.
After a bit Hagrid started to slow down and came to a complete stop, he wiped away the tears that collected on the corners of eyes then he said to me, "Alright, I am done laughin' now, happy?" I just answered back with a blank expression and a sarcastic tone, " Yep! I am more than happy."
Hagrid just chuckled at my response as he took a drink from the cup right before him, "Well moving on, to answer yeh question I have been using tha' cook book yeh sent me over this Christmas. It has been a real big help, it took a while to get the hang of it, but here I am cooking some great food if I must say so myself."
My lips curled up into a big Oah, as now I remembered that cook book that I had sent Hagrid this Christmas which had pasted. "Yeh must have forgotten all about it, huh?" Hagrid asked me with a shake of his great big black beard in enjoyment as he watched me come to a realization.
"Well, nevertheless I still owe yeh a great big thanks for the cookbook, I never realized that my cooking was abysmally terrible. Now that I have some comparison, well it is as clear as daylight!"
I scrunched up my face in confusion and asked him, "did you not ever taste the house elves cooking?"
