After the Jun Kai had left, the table became quiet. Grandma Feng took out her book and began reading, while Qing Qing was quietly eating the cake. Mi Rong, on the other hand, was in a trance.

A moment ago, Mi Rong had felt Jun Kai's gaze on her necklace. Well, this necklace wasn't hers, but it had been on this body ever since she came to this world. She didn't know why, but she couldn't take off the necklace. It had some kind of mechanism that she was unable to figure out how to hack through it. She had tried a couple of times when she became hopeless and just left it on. It wasn't ugly looking so she hadn't mind it.

The necklace must have been made from very precious stones as no rust was on it, even though all these years had pa.s.sed; it was still as new as ever. The girl that she had woken up in didn't have much information to look into. Her background was totally blank, except being in the orphanage but how this precious necklace was on the girl; she too had no clue.

However, Jun Kai staring at it made her wonder; why was he staring intensely at it? Did he perhaps like the sparkling necklace and wanted it? Or was it because he had seen something like this before? Tsk tsk, she really couldn't think of the reason behind his gaze.

On the side, Xiao Bai had woken up and had been watching everything that had happened and was curious, "Rong Rong, what's between that guy and you? His eyes had been fixed on you nearly this whole time."

Mi Rong was still in deep confusion, did the necklace have anything to do with Jun Kai?

"Mi Rong!"

"Huh? Oh, did you say something?"

Xiao Bai's face tiredly looked at Mi Rong, "Sigh, what's wrong with you?"

"Nothing, just thinking." She then decided to take another sip from her teacup.

"Well, what's up with you and Jun Kai?"

Mi Rong was quite surprised by Xiao Bai's word choice and changed the topic, "What's up!? Xiao Bai, where did you learn to speak this way?"

"Duh, technology, but answer my question."

"Sigh, this world is really too complicated."

"You're the one with the old head, anyways my answer? What are you hiding?"

"Says to you who's older than me by thousands of years, if it weren't for your behavior, I would have called you great great great great grandfather!"

"GRRRrrr"

This time Xiao Bai let out a gentle growl, so grandma Feng asked "Mi Rong, what's the matter with Xiao Bai? Did he see something?" Grandma Feng was looking around to check if Xiao Bai had noticed something unusual.

When Xiao Bai heard grandma Feng, he realized he had lost control of himself. He quickly became quiet, but his eyes were still staring at Mi Rong who was now smiling.

"He must have been dreaming something in his dreams." Mi Rong spoke while trying to hold her laughter.

Xiao Bai quickly telepathed, "You sneaky human!"

Grandma found it reasonable as it had happened once before and Xiao Bai had looked like he was sleeping from her line of sight, she replied "Oh well, Rong er, it's getting dark now. I think you better go home before it gets too dark."

"Hm, I suppose so." Mi Rong nodded un agreement.

However, if Xiao Bai saw what happened a moment ago, it didn't get away from grandma Feng's eyes as well. She found it even more interesting when she saw the things happening herself. Nearly all the things that had happened in South Korea with her grandson and Mi Rong had been reported to her, so seeing the tension between them was quite interesting as her grandson would hardly ever bother or care about others. Especially since her poor granddaughter in law past away from that tragic incident; this grandson of hers was even more reserved than ever.

"Qing Qing dear, you should stop having that cake before you get too full to have dinner." All this while, Qing Qing had been stuffing the scrumptious cake down her tummy. After her papa had left, she had begun digging in. There was no one to stop her, hu hu.

"Just...a..little more..great grandma. Hmm. This cake is superb, Jie can I have some more when you come over?"

Mi Rong looked sideways at grandma Feng and when she didn't refuse, Mi Rong said, "Of course, but you should also eat your food and healthy fruits and vegetables."

"Yuck, veggies aren't my type."

"Veggies? Type?" Mi Rong wasn't sure of what Qing Qing meant.

Grandma Feng was used to Mi Rong getting confused with some words and translated Chinese into Chinese for her, "Qing Qing meant she doesn't like vegetables dear, now Rong er off you go, Xia Yun must be waiting. Next time, you both should come over to have dinner with us, the house would be much livelier."

It wasn't an odd thing for grandma Feng anymore whenever Mi Rong gets confused with some informal words. She had asked at first why Mi Rong had troubles with it, and Mi Rong had replied that she had been reading textbooks too much and didn't spend much time with her friends. Which was true to the general report of Mi Rong's background that she had received.

"Hm, I'll tell Xia Yun about that." She wasn't sure about coming anytime soon with that person around.

Grandma Feng turned to an old man standing on the sides, "Housekeeper Hai, tell everyone else to prepare dinner for tonight."

"Yes chair..yes mam." Housekeeper Hai was close to calling grandma Feng chairwoman when he saw a quick glare from grandma Feng. He then changed his words and quickly left with a cold sweat. He was close to exposing the secret grandma Feng was keeping.

Grandma Feng then covered things up by turning to Qing Qing, "Right then, Qing er let's walk Rong er to the door."

Grandma Feng was carefully getting up from her seat when a delicate hand supported her.

"Oh, thank you, my dear. It's these old legs. Well, at least there is you to help me."

Mi Rong smiled, "It's no problem."

Seeing her Rong jie help her great grandma, she also joined and held her great grandma's free hands. The three and a snow white dog slowly walked to the front door.

In the front, there was a long staircase. Apparently, the lights were broken, and n.o.body had arrived to fix it yet.

"Aiya, what's wrong with the housekeeper, he couldn't even do a small task, tsk tsk."

Mi Rong didn't mind the dark, and her eyes could still see the in the dark better than others. "Grandma Feng, it's fine. I can walk from here with Xiao Bai."

"Oh dear..."

"It's totally fine. Qing Qing, I'll leave grandma in your safe hands okay? Take her back inside and let her rest." It was still within grandma Feng's house, so she did not see any harm in it.

"Okay jie! But when will you be back? Can you come and visit tomorrow? Pleaseeee?"

"Uh."

Before Mi Rong could answer, grandma Feng interrupted, "How about you bring Yun er over as well, tell her we can bake cakes at my place."

Mi Rong didn't really want to come back because of that person, but because grandma Feng invited, she replied, "I'll tell Xia Yun then."

"Great! Now, off we go Qing er."

"Yay! Jie see you tomorrow!" Qing Qing was diligently waving at Mi Rong while she supported grandma Feng back inside the house.

"Hmm."

"Hraaarrrh, I'm sleepy. Mi Rong let's go." Xiao Bai sloppily walked down the stairs.

"Aiya, it's not even past nine yet."

"Hey, I sleep early but I wake up early to run your errands as well."

"Well, true."

They were almost down the stairs and Mi Rong was pondering of what had happened when Xiao Bai suddenly froze in his track.

"Mi Rong, someone else is here."
