It was already 4 in the morning when Roline tried to open her eyes. she pulled herself closer to the source of heat on her left. An kai was wide awake but in his own world. he was in so much thoughts that he didn't notice the way Roline was looking at him.

"you're awake? he asked absentmindedly and Roline was only able to answer with "hmm."

what are you thinking so much about? she asked with a concerned tone.

"it's our future that am thinking of. can you promise me that you will be mine till the end?

Roline was quiet for some time before she decided to say something but her phone interrupted her. An kai stretched his arms to send her phone.

I wonder who has the guts to call me in the early! don't they sleep? Roline complained as she reached out her arms to get her phone but when she looked at the caller ID, her face started to get pale in seconds. she felt her heart thumbing so fast. even her hands were trembling. she lifted her head to look at the man beside her. he looked composed on the outside but he knew how hard it was for his heart to keep on beating. he stared at her for some time before reminding her to get the phone before it ends.

Roline Left the phone to ring until it stopped. she only pressed the screen so that she can look at the home screen of her phone. it was 4:36 am, 2nd of February and then the year. after which, she got up from the bed without saying anything and headed in to the bathroom.

An kai was left thinking of what was coming next. he got Roline's phone to see who had called. it had a name that An kai knew from the stories Ami used to tell Roline when still in Tria and maybe....

before he could correct his thoughts at that moment, the phone rang again.

I made the decision two months ago, tickets and other necessities are already handled. I can't back down now, my friends have put in much into this so I can't change my mind right now. am sorry that I forgot to tell you when you got back. I was too focused to remember that I even had a flight on this date yet it was me who booked it.

To Roline, she was going to a mere tour but An kai thought it was the main cause of the worry he was carrying all this time.

"prepare yourself, I will drive you to the airport." he said and stood up and headed out of the room. Roline didn't believe her ears at first but she still got her clothes and started to wear.

thinking through Roline's statement, made him hopeful that it was only going to be a tour. a tour that was not going to last for a life time because Roline didn't mention anything about them getting a divorce. she even looked sad when she was telling him about it. she had even forgotten about it.

did she forget because she was happy with me? or because it had taken some time?

it was the third week that An kai had spent in Roriland. if the tour was arranged two months ago then, it was planned even before the exams he did, or the day Roline told him about wanting a divorce. the tour was planned before all the sorrowful days he spent in Tria.

Roline came down and sat opposite the man before starting to eat her food quietly. she kept her head down for all the time they spent together that day except for the time they reached the airport in Rostar city.

Roline got her phone and called her father. "dad, am sorry that I have to go without meeting you first. I will try to get back here as soon as possible.
