The maid held the side of her cheek, she felt so much pain; it is only a slap, and yet it has too much force in it. But the most painful thing is that Anna called her stupid. Her pride can't take such humiliating words that Anna is spouting to her.

"You can't get away from this, you are already caught red-handed. You better not try to find your way out of this or else, elder Coleman might actually kill you after this." In the end, she decided not to see that maid for the time being; she only hopes that her grandfather won't kill her right away.

"She will be punished." Marcus has plans on telling what had happened today to Mary and Aaron, and once they knew what happened, Marcus is sure that they will give the maid a much harder time. One of their family rules: those who harm one of the Colemans shall be punished. Whether the maid dies from being punished by the Colemans does not concern Marcus one bit.

"For the time being, I think you should rest." Marcus looks at Kyle, then continued, "Kyle, take Anna to her room and make sure she sleeps, she needs it." After saying that Marcus gave Kyle a meaningful stare. It was as if he is saying that there is a certain line for Kyle to not cross, and of course, Kyle knows what Marcus is talking about.

Anna's face froze when she heard that; she can't believe that her grandfather really just said that. She understands that her grandfather wants her to rest, but why would he command Kyle to bring her to her room? It is not like she doesn't know how to get there.

Besides, she barely knows Kyle! Why would she let a man enter her room? This situation can create quite a ruckus if someone from the outside knows that Kyle entered the Coleman heiress' room.

Marcus' reason for doing this is because he wanted Kyle to have a chance to talk to Anna; to let them get to know each other more. This is more like how Marcus is repaying Kyle for the hard work he had done for the past days.
