Aaron who could not stand his sister's comment suddenly spoke angrily. "I told you, Grandfather. That guy is a bad influence on Anna!"

His adorable sister is actually falling for Kyle so deeply. If this continues on, Aaron is worried that Kyle might take advantage of Anna's feelings. He would like it better if his sister keeps in mind that she is still young and that she doesn't have to devote herself to Kyle.

There are still a lot of men out in the world. Kyle is not the only guy.

"Kyle?" Martha spoke, then she turned around and asked Marcus, "What is she talking about? Is she head over heels with this Kyle fellow?"

"It's Kyle Robertson, and I don't know if she's at that stage. But I do hope that is not the case yet." Just like Aaron, Marcus also has the same opinion. The whole family is not stopping Anna from meeting guys that she wants to meet, but they only hope that she won't devote herself to one man.

"A Robertson? You allowed a Robertson to get close to your granddaughter?" Martha asked. She somewhat couldn't believe that he heard Marcus correctly. The last time she and Marcus talk about the Robertsons, there is always a scowl in his sentences.

However, him speaking the Robertsons' name in a calm way really did surprise her. It's very unusual for her to hear Marcus like that because she knew too well that Marcus hates the Robertsons because of what happened to his brother.

She wondered if the problem between Marcus and Elija has been settled. If so, why didn't Marcus told her about it?

"Well, long story short, there was a big misunderstanding on my part and on Elijah's part. I can't say that I know what really happened, but someone planned everything. As for Anna and Kyle, they're young and both are great children, they got themselves both attracted to each other. I can't even stop them even if I wanted to." The hardest one to stop is Kyle, but Marcus decided not to tell that Martha.

He would like for Martha to see it for herself. It might shock her, but she'll definitely like Kyle.

"Then, why didn't you tell me that you and that old man is on good terms now?"

"I wouldn't say we're on good terms. Elijah is being stubborn, he doesn't want to accept the facts." From what he hears from Kyle, Elijah Robertson is still being stubborn. It's not bothering Marcus, so he wouldn't really care if Elijah is still being stubborn on not.

"Is that so. Well then, I'll ask you about the details later, but for now, let's focus on the main reason we're here." Surprised by the sudden news, Martha almost forgot that there is something that she wants the twins to know.

"I guess I have no other choice, but to accept all of this, aren't I?" Lost all hope of escaping the situation, Anna sighed deeply.

"From the very beginning, I'm not giving you a choice because whether or not you're gonna support your brother, what I'm gonna teach you is going to be helpful in your future." Whatever path Anna chooses, Martha wants Anna to use the things she will teach her. It's important for Anna to stand up in her own feet.

While Martha is explaining the whole situation to the twins, Marcus reached out to one of the bookshelves and picked up a certain book. It's a book that his father once gave to him to read, and it's the same book that he gave to his son, Arion, to read. Now, it's the twins' turn.

As soon as he is right next to the twins, Marcus hand over the book to Aaron and said, "I want you and your sister to read this and solve the puzzle." Aaron gave him a face and knew exactly what Aaron is thinking. It's the same reaction Arion gave to him back then. "Don't worry, it's a fun puzzle. It'll be worthwhile."

"Now that I already told you two when everything is going to start, you two may go now. I'm sure that your back-from-the-dead father is waiting to have a hug from his children." Although it's clear on her tone that she's still upset about Arion's sudden comeback, she wasn't able to hide the fact that she still cares about Arion.

With just a nod, the twins went on their way and left the two elders along in the room.

When Marcus and Martha couldn't hear the twins' footsteps anymore, Martha is the one who broke the silence, "You didn't announce to the other elders which one of the twins is going to be the heir of our family, Marcus."

"It doesn't matter if I announce it to them or not because earlier, I saw in their expressions that they are satisfied with both of the twins. To them, it didn't matter who is the heir between the twins." The twins' performance earlier impressed most of the loyal elders and they have no qualms in which one of the twins will be the heir because both twins proved themselves.

"But even so, the heir has already been decided, is it not?"

"Martha, is there even a need for me to answer that question?" Marcus' granddaughter, Anna, already made it clear that she no intention of becoming an heir, and by default, Aaron wins.

"You sure have very interesting grandchildren, Marcus." Martha now wonders for how long will the twins keep her entertained.

"Yes. But as for James, what are you really planning to do with him? I'm sure you have a reason for this." Marcus didn't say it out loud earlier, but he is sure that even though Martha is concerned about his feelings, that doesn't mean she doesn't have a deeper meaning to everything that she's doing.

Between him and Martha, Martha is the most wicked one. Everything is planned.

"Mom, what are you doing outside?"

Anna was looking all over the place for her mother, but she couldn't find her. Leon informed her that her mother is in the garden, she immediately went there. When she saw her worry is written on Anna's expression. Her mother looks so sad, and she wants to know why.

"I'm just taking some fresh air. The Old Mansion is suffocating me."
