REBORN: Revenge 436 Revenge 437: That Simple Question

"You can scold me later, Grandfather." As soon as Kyle said that he walks his way towards the exit while pulling Anna alongside him.

Surprised by his sudden action, Anna did not have the time to react from him. And when she is back to reality she realized that she's already inside Kyle's car.

Kyle didn't start the car. They sat in there in silence for a whole five minutes. Anna didn't know what to say, but then she remembered what Kyle said to Veronica before. With that, she revealed a mischievous smile.

"Your girlfriend, huh? Since when did I become one?" Actually, Anna would not mind being Kyle's girlfriend right at this moment. Months have already past by since Kyle started to woo her. She initially thought that she would want Kyle to woo her for a year, but after all the sweet and caring gestures he's been giving to her, Anna has become impatient.

It is too much for her to want Kyle to ask her already?

It did not matter to her if Kyle does a grand gesture or not just to ask her, all she wants is that one simple question throws at her. Without a doubt, she will answer if sincerely and for the days to come.

"She would not stop doubting how special you are to me, so I blurted that out. I'm sorry if that angered you." He too wants to ask Anna to become his already, but he is not quite sure if that is the right move he should do.

From what he observed from the past months, Anna has been reluctant about entering a relations.h.i.+p. He has been making sure that Anna feels that he is the only he set his eyes for. Despite all that, he still not sure if he had done enough to rea.s.sure her.

"Instead of it angering me, it made me happy. I just never thought that you would declare it like that out in the public though." Anna deliberately hinting Kyle that she wants him to ask the question already. As a matter of fact, she's been trying to get to him to ask her that simple question for these past few days already.

However, it seems that none of the actions that she made has come to fruition. 'Gos.h.!.+ This is making me look like I'm so desperate for him. Even though I said I would do that sort of thing.'

Hearing her said that what he said earlier was making her happy puts a smile on his face. As eagerly as he is right now, he stopped himself when he suddenly remembered the words Erik said to him not too long ago. 'Kyle, if you want to ask Anna to be your girlfriend, you should at least do something, like a grand gesture. You know, make her feel special or something like that. Put some effort into it. Trust me. Girls love those kinds of things, and Anna like those any other girls who want to be loved.'

At first, when he heard those words from Erik, he is reluctant to believe it because Anna is not like any other girl that Erik is talking about. But right now, he is starting to believe what Erik said is the truth.

'I must do something.' He inwardly said.

"Well, just think of it as me saying that I don't any guys lingering around you." He said.

The smile in Anna's face froze. Those were the words that she is not expecting. She can't believe that Kyle is much denser than her brother. She's been giving him hints! Every time that she meets up with him, she's giving him hints!

'Why?! Why can't he understand what I'm trying to do here?! I can't believe this!' Anna inwardly cried.

"I-Is that so."

Inside the cafe, Lannie and her grandfather quietly watch the two people inside the car. It is so convenient for them that Kyle didn't bring his other car which has a black tainted pane. From their position, they can see the expressions Anna and Kyle are making.

"Grandfather, look at Anna's expression. Your grandson must have said something so stupid to Anna." Lannie may not know what Anna and Kyle were talking about, she can tell that her brother said something to make Anna look so dissatisfied. "If he keeps doing that, he's going to lose points." She added.

"Tell me Nathalia, is your brother and Anna are an official couple now?" Elijah asked. As far as he knows Kyle and Anna are not an official couple, but after seeing the two of them interacting with each other, he can't help but second-guessing his thoughts.

"No. Not yet, anyway." Lannie chuckled. She can totally understand her grandfather's question. Who wouldn't be confused if they saw how Anna and Kyle were interacting with each other. Even she sometimes thinks that they were already official, but when she asks them, she gets disappointed.

"Is your brother afraid to ask or what? He can't just announce something like that and just not be officially together." For the first time, Elijah felt disappointed with his grandson. Every Robertson males, when it comes to the girl that they like, they won't hesitate to ask that simple question.

"I can agree with you on that, Grandfather. I'm sure that Anna is going to be so confused by now." Lannie is already imagining the face Anna will make later. Anna's confused and frustrated face will be such a sight for Lannie.

"Is your brother waiting for Christmas or what?" Earlier, before he found out that his grandchildren were spying on him and Anna, he can tell that Anna is ready to be with Kyle. Even when Kyle announced Anna's position in his life, Anna did not object it right away. It is like Anna is giving Kyle a hint, and yet Kyle is not getting it.

"He's afraid to ask," Lannie commented, then she suddenly laughed when she remembered the words Erik said to her brother. When Erik said that girls like Anna like to have a grand gesture before asking the question, she was there. She was silently listening and shaking her head at Erik's suggestion to her brother.

At that time she did not say anything because she believes that her brother is smart enough to not considering Erik's suggestion. Compare to her and her brother, her brother is the one who knows Anna best.

Realizing that her brother is actually considering Erik's words, Lannie is speechless and can only laugh it out. Even she knows that it did not matter to Anna if there is a grand gesture or not as long as the question is asked.

"Afraid to ask? Are you being serious right now, Lannie?" Watching Kyle grow up is like an amazing journey for Elijah. And from what he sees as Kyle grows up, he has never seen him be afraid of something. To think a girl can make his grandson feel fear is quite an amus.e.m.e.nt to his sight.

"Grandfather, why do you think that my brother is still holding back?" Lannie smirked at her grandfather, she turned her gazed towards Anna and Kyle. She's been watching the growth of their relations.h.i.+p for quite a while now, and she is surprised that right now, they are on a pause.

After dropping Anna off at Alfonso's place, the two young Robertsons went home with their grandfather. And once they get there, those two are gonna get a lecture from him.

"Now tell me, why did you two think that it was alright to spy on my meeting with Anna?" Elijah asked as he stared at his two kneeling grandchildren.

"Because we were curious about what you guys were talking about." Both Lannie and Kyle said at the same time.

"Curious or afraid that I might say something and cause Anna to distance herself from Kyle. Which one is it? Curious or afraid?" As soon as he said that, both siblings flinched because Elijah caught on what they were thinking.

Elijah is not dumb. He watches them two grow up, and he knows how they think. And based on how he acted when he found about Kyle chasing after a Coleman girl, he is sure that his grandchildren still think that he is still against that idea.

"None of you are gonna answer my question? Then I don't mind me I watched you two kneel there until the next day." He is harsh and his grandchildren know that, and most importantly they know that when he says something like that, he means it. It did not matter if you are favored by him or not.

"Both." Not wanting to kneel until tomorrow, Lannie and Kyle decided to tell the truth.

While the siblings are still having their punishment, Stan and Layla were watching on the side silently. They did not expect to see such sight to the moment they return from their work.

"I'm tired. I'm not gonna deal with this." Stan said with a tired look on his face.

"Me too," Layla agreed, then they both went straight towards their room. Normally, Layla would try and talk to Elijah to stop making her children kneel, but she is just too tired. And a part of tells her that her children deserves it.
