I guess this should be a good park for dogs to roam, chase, mingle, and run about and their owners running after them to pick up their p.o.o.p! There weren't much gra.s.s on this park but a barren light brown sandy type of soil around the area so the p.o.o.p should be visible. How thoughtful...
Nevertheless we each sat on a swing and licked our ice creams while watching the neighbour going about their daily business from across the park. No matter how plain the park was, it was well maintained and not a wrapper or a crushed paper cup was seen littered around.
The City Town Council must be going a great job!
"You really like hanging out with me, don't you...? Aren't you feeling hungry after your swimming sessions...? It's already coming to dinner time... Should we eat out or eat at your place...?"
The last question was unintentionally prepared for Kagome in the previous Leap but was blurted out as I still had not gotten over her sudden demise. A sense of foreboding came to me as I blurted out those words.

"Maji De...?!? We won't have enough time to cook you know...and furthermore our dormitory only allows cooking cup noodles and boiling tea, coffee or hot chocolate inside... Why do you suddenly ask...? Eh... s.h.i.+ro, you must be thinking about the girls again right...? Hmm... Hmm... Hmm...???"
I laughed out loud trying to mask the blunder that I made earlier and I agreed that looking at the girls in their swimsuits really clouded my brain. I looked at her face and she was pouting and was holding some sort of rage as her face reddened.
Normally a blush indicates embarra.s.sment or shyness but when comes to red, its sure spells trouble. So I changed my perspective and said that I was looking at her instead and then her face sudden blushed up and she hit my shoulders with a slight punch.
I guessed she is an introvert type of girl and very uncomfortable to express herself in public. Somehow my thoughts drifted back to Kagome the first time we met at the beach after being separated for several days on Exile Island. My emotions got choked and it welled up in my throat and eyes.
*Cough... Cough... Cough...* and tried to clear my throat at the same time and wipe away the glistening eyes that threaten to reduce me to tears. I was so welled up with emotions that I bit down on my lower lip so hard that I could taste the metallic taste of my own blood.
Akira patted my back a few times and was nagging me for eating the Ice Cream too fast since she knew I had taken the Rocky Road Ice Cream and she thought the nuts irritated my throat. I took a tissue out and dabbed my eyes and wiped my mouth while making a silly grin at her.
Pretence... Pretence... Pretence... Have to add a notch to my acting!
I kicked my legs underneath and made my the swing sway back and forth. I looked in the distance and saw wives welcoming their husbands, children hugging the legs of their returning fathers, giggles, laughter and happy emotions wafted through the houses from across the park. This was what Kagome wished for and her wishes were buried forever.
I looked away, unable to bear once again the choked up feelings that are building up inside me. I hopped down from the swing and went behind Akira and swung her instead to distract myself but a tear managed to escape from the corner of my eye and fell on Akira's head...!!!
"E... Eeehhhhh... Ara ma...!!! Is it raining right now...? We better go back now... We did not carry umbrellas you know... And I don't want to get stuck in the rain with you... Bluueeekkk...Eeehhh...?!?"
I did not expect Akira to look up at me before she comically pulled her face and stuck out her tongue when her face suddenly froze up when she exclaimed the last word halfway through her sentence.
I was unable to hold back anything as torrents of tears emerged from my eyes and streamed furiously down my face. The emotions that welled up within me burst open like a broken dam. I was looking straight ahead and my hands quivered violently as I held the chains of the swing tightly in my fists.
Hot tears drained down my eyes and it fell... creating small puddles...on Akira's unsuspecting face as wild thoughts raced through her mind quickly...as men rarely shed tears in front of the opposite s.e.x but when they do, it means that they are filled with so many powerful emotions that they can't help but cry.
"Did I say something wrong...?"
