"h.e.l.lo HunNa, my name is p.o.r.nsak and I am the Narrator for SPI that we would begin doing the doc.u.mentary with the a.s.sistance and guidance of your photo and videography team. Have you done any coverage on this type of doc.u.mentary before...?"

I extended my hand for a handshake and invited her to take a seat and make herself comfortable as she spoke softly. I looked at her closely. She must be around 19-21 years of age and maybe had just recently finished high school and had joined the line of broadcasting.

She looked simple with just a thin shade of pink on her lips, no makeup but still looked stunning enough for her age. She had shoulder-length straight hair and was pulled back behind her ears. She wore a simple short sleeve white blouse over her denim jeans and wore flat platform shoes.

She had rather a lithe figure and maybe half-head shorter than me. With a school girl kind of look, it would surely make heads turn and in the broadcasting industry, face-value sells better. I don't look too bad either in this body... Hahaha.

After her short introduction to me, I answered her questions about my experience with the type of work she does. I explained to her that I have had first-hand experiences before.

"Oh... We are so alike. I too had a Third Eye and from what I see in you; you are trusting and dependable. I can see you had many years of experience even though you are just a few years older than me. You had suffered some difficult journeys in your present life since your past life is much more... How shall I put it... More colourful?"

Oops... That's not a Third Eye but something like a soothsayer kind of eye. The kind that sees deep into one's eye and tells the past rather than the future. If she looks too deep into my eyes I'm sure she gonna fall in love with me *ahem* find out my past life as Sam Mulder and not the present Aroon Chevapratnadumrong.

I glanced away to avoid her piercing gaze and replied, "Ah... Yes, you can say it is colourful while being able to go to places and talk to all levels of the audience. As for my Third Eye, it's a different kind as I can see unsettled spirits roaming around during the feast of the Hungry Ghosts et cetera."

"That's why I was a.s.signed as a Narrator and together we both will discover the truths behind some unsolved gruesome mysteries that shroud our community for years. You should know what I mean by those thumping sounds in the middle of the dark...You not scared are you...?"

"I am more afraid of humans rather than a ghost. An ent.i.ty is just an ent.i.ty that can't rob your wallet, pierce a knife through you or push you against incoming traffic. At most, they can scare you around unsuspecting corners or distort your spiritual being. Other than that... Maybe we can interview those ent.i.ties if they are willing to do so... "

"Ah, you have read about the part of interviewing them. The SPI team have gadgets to record what they are saying even though normal human ears can't hear them talking, some infrared gadgets to capture the cold and warm differences in the air when they appear plus a small electronic gadget to records spikes of EMF."

"Yup, Ms p.o.r.nsak... I've read through and understand the field of work the SPI are covering and also a little bit about you. Maybe after all this work has been completed we could have dinner sometimes?"

I joked but in the meantime tried to put both my charm and charisma into action. Who knows I might score with this Narrator even though we have met under less than 30minutes and chatted like a long lost good old acquaintance.

"Sure, sure... Dinner invitation has got no problems with me. I am from ChiangRai originally and had come here on project a.s.signment with the SPI. I am now staying at the rented apartment of the team as well. They are quite a joyful bunch... Have you met them yet?"

"Nope, but I think it's best to know them soon before we embark on this doc.u.mentary. By the way, how many unsolved mysteries are you going to uncover? Would it involve the police and how long have these cases gone cold?"

I inquired since I knew the police would normally close the file and chuck it in some bas.e.m.e.nt never to be resurfaced again unless the relatives would pay some money to unearth the evaluation and prognosis of those cases. Normally these dead-end cases would be shut forever after 3 months of non-progress.

"Some cases were fresh... Somewhere dated a few weeks ago while most cases were considered cold and almost forgotten that they became an urban legend itself. It is worth discovering and uncovering their events... Not forgetting that we both have the Third Eye and mine is more refined to look back into the past as well as the ability to communicate with them through a simple seance. We don't even have to add a Buddhist Monk among us to a.s.sist unless....."

"Unless what, Ms p.o.r.nsak...?"

Two bottles of green tea that were bought earlier by my office colleague was brought in and placed on the table. I placed one in front of her and invited her to drink. She took it and unscrewed the top and inserted the straw in and took a short sip of the cooling beverage and continued where she had left.

"The case is too heavy for me and I need their a.s.sistance as well... Like such cases of extremely violent death that neither the spirits had peace on earth and wishes to seek revenge... That's the kind of cases we would expect, HunNa..."

"I understand, let me have the list of cases that you wish to doc.u.mentary from the earliest date to the latest one and mark out in stars from 1 to 5 on the intensity and complexity of the cases that you will be doc.u.menting. I would expect full integration with this doc.u.mentaries and hope to work out more than a working relations.h.i.+p with you. In fact, I believe when two persons with extraordinary abilities work together as a couple, the results that could achieve would reach a higher threshold."

*Ahem* working up my persuasion skills this time and it worked as she smiled broadly at me with a twinkle in her eyes and a slight blush in the face. Added with the twiddling fingers of her hands indicate that she could have some thoughts of this Chief-in-editor in front of her already. Haha.

"Don't need to call me using honorific since we are going to work together closely, just call me Aroon instead of HunNa."

"And you can drop the Miss and call me p.o.r.n"

I smiled as a naughty thought pa.s.sed my mind. I speak p.o.r.n, I meet p.o.r.n. I see p.o.r.n and later I'd be doing p.o.r.n. Hahahahahaha. Sorry ha, p.o.r.nsak for making fun of your commonly Thai girls' used name in this fictional series.

Cute, but it works just as fine in the disclaimer above.

"Would you like to take a look at the list of sites and a short synopsis of the event that happened and marked them according to rankings that I had proposed just now?"

Psychologically, speaking and handing the stack of papers to her would make her unable to refuse as it is a kind of commitment she had to prepare before me. To put it into another subtle approach, this act is to purposely stall time and make her spend more time with me so that well; getting more acquainted and yeah... Woo woo, maybe forecasted... Woo woo... Haha.

We engaged in some small talk and discovered that we both were single and unattached and she can't help by kept making glances at me while looking up from what she was reading and making notes.

You readers are to be blamed by putting me up with this thriller, horror and romance kind of tipsy turvy twisted little series right? You wanna read about some intimate instances, right? Huh? Huh? Huh? Haha... Blueeekkk

The rest of the employees knocked off work early and had left by 5 pm. Time really flies when you set the narrative more to 0.25 rate its normal speed. The one who bought the drinks earlier knocked on my door and I gestured him inside and slipped him a 50 baht note and told him to keep the change. Well, the drinks would only cost him 10 baht each and the rest could be used to top his petrol for his scooter later on.

I asked how p.o.r.n had come earlier and she replied that she had arrived by tuktuk earlier. Tuktuk is a 3wheelled mode of transport that was originally converted and remodelled after a motorbike and a rear cabin which could fit 6 persons. A single trip would cost 15 baht around the city blocks. Affordable, b.u.mpy, noisy and fast. It is a convenient way to get around Thailand as its ability to weave around traffic and also sidewalks even.

I took back the papers when she had done marking them out according to rankings. I took a glance at them and placed them into a clear manila folder and thanked her for the time spent. Since I got nowhere to go after this, I asked where she was heading.

"I was thinking of going to the beach after this. Spend time with the sea and after that head back to the SPI's place to rest. Would you like to come along...?"

I would glad to of course...!!! With a gal behind my back on my beast bike, arms around my waist as we zoomed into the sunset... What more could a biker like me asked for...

" Sure, why not. Maybe our dinner date comes much earlier than expected... "

I replied nonchalantly as I grabbed my digital camera and ushered her out of my office before I closed the sliding window, switched off the fan and lights and led her out towards the exit through a dim-lit office lit ly by an emergency light attached above the exit door.

I purposely let my hand slid to the small of her back and I gently guided her through a maze of desks and equipment and down the staircase. Well, so far so good as there was no form of resistance or rejection when I placed my hand there and slid a tad lower. Suave move, kemosabe... Better pack a few rubbers soon...!

"Leaving already, Aroon? Anyone still upstairs? If not I will lock up for the evening and no need to do my rounds and stay with my pet bird Mina here..."

He showed to a baby mynah bird with a bell attached to one of its legs. As the bird was running around, a tiny tinkling of the bell sounded and it looked kinda happy. He flew up to a short distance and rested on the security's lap as he offered some biscuit crumbs to it and it happily pecked at it.

"No one's upstairs now... You may lock up and stay indoors... Make sure no cat comes after your pet bird... Hahaha"

I laughed at the security guard and walked to a single parked 150cc Honda Vario under a tree with leather saddlebags beside it. Cool... I wanted those leather saddlebags before. Its a 40 litres capacity bag that can easily haul my cameras and camcorders plus some other stuff like some overnight clothes, a sleeping bag and some knick-knacks.

I straddle on the bike, pulled the stand in and heel kicked the bike on to the direction of the road. I inserted the key into the ignition and turned while I pressed on the brake lever and started the bike. It purred to life and I gestured to p.o.r.n.

"C' mon, hope on. Don't be shy... I'm not gonna bite!"

p.o.r.n placed one hand on my shoulders and stepped on the side pillion stand and hoisted herself up. She sat close to me on the pillion seat and slid even closer as she placed her hands not on my waist but on my thighs. I can sense her warmth coursing through my back as she sat closely and pressed her b.r.e.a.s.t.s against it and leaned her head on my left side.

I said "Hang On!" and throttled away towards the sunset and towards the nearest tourist beach in Pattaya.

Vroom vroom...
