"I'm fine... what happened to me?" Tsuru questioned looking at her hand averting eye contact, she had a good idea of what had happened but she needed to play along, see what she knew or thought she did.
"Allon found you suffocating in your room." The woman stated eyes looking down, "Doctor said you must have been poisoned by something in your journey back but doesn't know what it was."
"hmm, I want to speak to Allon... mother. I-In private." Tsuru spoke as she looked up to meet Allons gaze.
Evira's mother looked at Allon as she went back to look at who she thought was Evira, "I'll be back in a bit then."
As she left Allon walked to her side and looked down pitifully at her, "Not what you expected?"
"What does this mean?!" Tsuru asked staring down at herself.
"It said new life, never a new body. The body I poses belonged to a child...It was a tragic loss." Allon answered as he sat on the chair besides the hospital bed, "This is why I knew it wouldn't work."
"Why didn't you tell me then?" Tsuru questioned as she felt a knot in her throat.
Allon sighed, "What for? You never listen."
Tsuru felt as hot tears slipped, "I didn't want it to end like this."
"Really! You seemed quite determined!" He lowered his voice as he caught odd glances from the nurses and patients. He leaned and whispered to her ear, "You watched her suffocate and then you say that."

"I'm sorry." Tsuru said as she sobbed bringing her hands up to cover her face, "I considered her a friend."
"Well I doubt you have many considering what you did to her." Allon spat out as he crossed his arms in anger.
Tsuru remained silent as she cried not finding a way to stop. She looked at her hands while her eyes where clouded with tears. A small number on her wrist as she tared at it confused not remembering to have seen it on Evira.
"23, that's the number of years your body will last." Allon stated as he extended his hand showing her his own number, "I only have 4 years left."
Tsuru looked at his wrist looking at the number before turning her gaze away, "I'm still going to get him."
Allon griped the sheets of the bed, "Just let it go. He fooled you end of story now you need to move on."
"I'm getting Keir and I won't let things go until I do!" Tsuru yelled catching the attention of many nurses and patients in the area.
Allon shushed her, "What did he do to you anyway?"
Tsuru grew quiet taking a deep breath, "Close the curtain." Once he did she looked at him and down at her hands repeatedly before getting the courage to speak, "He was like... my 5th or maybe around 10th master. I knew him from a long time before he was my master. He was in fact the person who comforted me when I became a genie, because he was one too."
A sigh escaped her lips finding the courage to continue, "He was always caring and loving, he had lost his own siblings when becoming a genie, so we had that in common. He rarely asked for anything only traveling the world. He said he would always be with me because I was the only one who understood him... he admitted that he loved me."
Tsuru clenched her jaw and tightened her fists remembering those times, "He told me we would be mortals together... But after I granted him immortality he... he left me. He abandoned me and moved on to the next heart to conquer. I've hunted him down for hundreds of years never able to forget as he turned his back and conquered other women."
She looked up at Allon before she continued, "One of the women who he conquered their heart and then broke it was your wife's, but she was completely fine after she met you. But I had to come along and ruin it."
Allon stared back at her, "So this is all because you had your heart broken? That's why you've been chasing him all these years and causing the innocent to die. Evira's mom thinks you're her daughter. What will you tell her?"
"You wouldn't understand. The one you loved didn't betray you but the one that I loved. He didn't only betray me, but he fooled me... Do you have any idea what the penalty for granting a wish against your one rule costs?" She said only answering one of his questions.
"10,000 years Allon. That the price for going against your own rules, the one's you are supposed to be able to keep because you chose them." Tsuru said bitterly remembering the moment.
"I don't understand you got that right but keeping this up will only continue drowning you in madness." Allon stated, "Where's that generous person they told me about... The person who was the only one to stand up and comfort a child who didn't know what was going on when his world had completely changed."
Tsuru held sadness in her eyes as she looked away once more, "I tried to comfort a child, but I couldn't, and Keir was the one who managed to do it. The same man who I'm trying to kill is the one who told you this was all a game. Who gave you false hopes and a broken heart."
Allon was quiet not knowing what to answer as Tsuru held her tong wis.h.i.+ng she could just disappear into smoke.
Evira's mother opened the curtain looking at both, "What's going on?"
"Everything's fine mom just can't believe all this happened." Tsuru told her.
The woman smiled at Tsuru walking over to her and placing a kiss on her forehead, "I'm going to sign some papers, so you can come home it won't take long." The woman left the room once more as quickly as she had come back.
"Ill find a way to get Evira back. That I can promise." Tsuru stated as she glared at Allon, "Her mother doesn't have to know I'm not her daughter."
