Tsuru was lost in thought as she was inside the lamp. Evira had nothing to wish for and she preferred not to be outside because she might get interrogated again by Allon. He reminded her of her first master when genies had just started appearing, well at least her generation.

Tsuru remembered the past for a moment the scenes playing through her mind. Reminiscing the good and the bad moments if even for a moment.

"I'll be back in a while don't wait up," Tsuru announced as she looked back at her older brother who was missing a leg and used a cane.

"Be careful there's been a lot of missing people lately." Her brother replied in a worried tone.

Recently people had randomly started missing without a trace to be found. Some said they were killed while others said they had been kidnapped. But you could never know who was next, some were poor, rich, while others were simply pa.s.sing by and disappearing.

"I will." Tsuru said as she walked over to her brother and gave him a right and loving hug, "I'm not careless."

Her brother gave her a kiss on the check, "Just take care and don't make me worry."

Tsuru smiled at him covering her face as she walked away determined she would be back in time. She was going to visit her cousin who was a few hours away. She knew it was dangerous, but he was sick, and she wanted to make sure he was doing better.

He waved goodbye to her watching her leave until she disappeared from view and went inside using his cane to help him. Tsuru continued forward as she traveled quickly to get there in time, so she could come back faster and safer.

But luck wasn't on her side she had barely managed to arrive at her cousin's house before nightfall, "How are you feeling?"

Her cousin looked up at her from the bed he laid in, "I've had better days." A cough escaped his lips while he covered his mouth with his hands. When he looked at it, it was covered in small dots of blood.

"Where's your wife?" Tsuru questioned not seeing her in the house and trying to look away from his hand.

The man coughed a few times before managing an answer, "She went to get water, she'll be back in a while there's nothing to worry about."

Tsuru pitied the man and asked something without thinking, "What did the doctor say?"

Her cousins' eyes seemed to water at that question as he turned his gaze away from her, "You should head back home. Thanks for the visit."

Realising the disrespect in her question she looked down in shame, "I'll try and come back tomorrow. Maybe both my brother and I will come." She announced trying to concentrate on something positive.

Her cousin didn't reply and only gave a nod. She proceeded to walk out of the house and make her way back home. Her walking was p distracted as she couldn't brush off the thought of her cousin. But all that changed when something seemed to s.h.i.+ne in her eyes blinding her for a moment. When she looked in the light's direction squinting her eyes she noticed a lamp. It appeared to be made of gold, yet it was stranded in an alley surrounded by trash. There was no one outside at this hour making it seem misterious. But figuring the lamp would be worth something and it could help get some medicine for her cousin and help with other necessities she went to grab it.

"Who would throw this out?" She questioned to herself as no one was out at this hour.

Just as her fingers gazed the lamp a smoke came out of it. In shock she stepped back but the smoke surrounded her making it imposible unable to move away. As much as she tried to pull away it was too late. The lamp wrapped her in smoke and devoured her too quick for her to have a chance at escape.

"Help!" Tsuru screamed out in fear and.

A number appeared in front of her "100." What did that mean she couldn't understand. A paper revealed itself to her and she took it thinking it could lead her out but it wasn't some map of a way out, more like a contract.

"You have now been cursed to be a genie. You may create your own set of rules and have whichever amount of wishes to grant, once chosen these can never change. The number that has just flashed before your eyes are the years you must be a genie. Once complete you will perish." That was all the paper said.

Tsuru was naive and she turned it around hoping this was just some cruel joke. It was blank but she noticed something else. When she tried to walk she didn't feel her legs. Looking down her legs where becoming red smoke and chains appeared on her wrists and neck.

The lamp stayed in place as if no one had just disappeared into it, so someone would eventually pick up. Tsuru noticed the nozzle in the lamp where she barely see outside, "Somebody helps me!" She yelled but her words simply echoed, no one could hear her n.o.body even knew she was there.

Tsuru shakes her head coming back to reality where she was being called. Looking out through the same old nozzle she saw Evira.

"Tsuru!" Evira called out as Tsuru noticed she was calling and came out of the lamp.

"What is it," Tsuru asked annoyed by her sudden call.
