"I have been speaking to myself alone for the past five minutes, haven't I? she asked feigning annoyance. "I am sorry sister, I was too preoccupied with... " Prince who was apologizing was cut off by his cheerful sister "A girl" she squealed.
"What nonsense are you talking about? I just asked you if you knew Alicia Crystals and you are talking about something else" he said in annoyance. He was not even sure why he was annoyed.
"You did not ask brother, you stated. How am I supposed to know who Alicia cry...Wait a moment brother did you just say Alicia Crystals as in Alice?. The CEO of Crystal corporations?" Aurora asked eagerly almost fangirling.
"Yes, I did" Prince confirmed, "Oh, what did you do to her?" This time around she was p.i.s.sed. "I thought you were supposed to have my back but you are supporting a total stranger over your own brother? humph, how ridiculous" Prince said, surprised at his little sister's behavior.
How did they get to know each other, he did not see how they could be friends. Aurora might be friendly but her friends could be counted with one hand. For her to be that protective of Alicia there must be something shady.
"Did you do it?" he asked "Do what?" she snapped. "Her background" Prince answered not minding the anger in his sister's voice. Aurora humphed "Yes I did and so what, let me tell you if you dare to hurt her. I will break your baby maker"
"Ouch, now I am hurt, I didn't do anything I swear" 'well not yet' he added under his breath. "You are hopeless brother, can you be a little nicer to her. She has gone through..." Aurora stopped herself midway, she had almost spilled Alicia's secret
d.a.m.n this brother of hers for not leaving things alone "Anyways, forget it as long as you don't hurt her" she added quickly trying to cover up her flaws. "What has she gone through, Aurora" how could she have forgotten he has a super good memory.
"It is nothing forget it" Aurora tried covering up. "AURORA" Prince spoke through gritted teeth "Yes brother, I sure wouldn't miss our lunch, bye" she hurriedly ended the call. If Alicia finds out she almost spilled her secret then she would never forgive herself. 'Why is brother looking into her, like she has not gone through enough already'
Her phone rang at this point "Brother I... " she started. "I figured he might have called you" came the reply from the other end. "Alice, I swear I didn't say anything to him. Aside from what I may or may not have mentioned" she said the last part in a small voice but Alicia heard her anyway.
Alicia could not help it as a smile formed across her beautiful face. Aurora was really cute, she knew it was not going to be an easy thing to keep a secret from one's sibling especially a close one at that.
Alicia sighed "What is it, Alice?" Aurora asked concern apparent in her voice. "I was just thinking that you two are poles apart that is all" Alicia told her what she was thinking.
"My brother is actually nice you know, he just has a hard time expressing himself that is all" she tried giving Prince brownie points. "I am sure she is princess" Alicia answered sarcastically.
It was none of her business anyway if he was nice or not wasn't her problem she was only concerned about his outlook on things. Remembering what happened in his office made her a little scared.
Although she seemed confident when they were 'discussing' earlier she still felt something was amiss. Shaking her head she quickly dismissed the feeling and started chatting happily with Aurora. They spoke for sometime before one of them hung up reluctantly.
