?Returning to the present time?

Two days had now pa.s.sed since the demise of Benzalo and Marco. A report of all that had unfolded was sent to the Dark Abylis Sect who were now on high alert.

Since the report, all their prior a.s.sets were now given additional protection. Not wanting a reoccurrence of Starlight City, this protection entailed the dispatch of lord realm cultivators to each.

After being informed of the saviors of Starlight City, just as Taf had expected he and May were ordered immediately after arriving at the sect to report for debriefing.

What the two had accomplished was unprecedented and needed to be handled with care. To this Taf was unperturbed, he knew currently he had all the cards in his hands.

Though he and May were members of the Dark Abylis Sect they were by no means attached. If in the future there were to be a positive mutual relations.h.i.+p between the two parties, the onus was on the Dark Abylis Sect.

The first step was providing proper compensation for protecting their a.s.sets from utter demise. Having grown with such a 'principled' fellow as Mr.Ming, how could Taf let such opportunities slip.

He had no intention of awaiting the arrival of the elders who had been dispatched and after spending a full day within Starlight City they departed.

The journey back to the Dark Abylis Sect was quiet with those who were once boisterous being sh.e.l.ls of themselves as they looked at the two upon the red-feathered eagle.

After ignoring the persisted glares even Taf had met his boiling point as he finally returned their gaze.

This was one of the reasons both he and May concealed their cultivation as persons' att.i.tudes suddenly change on a whim when they see themselves as inferior.

"I"ve been know to draw attention like a moth to a flame but even this is too much."

He uttered while yawning a bit. At the moment in each one of their eyes, he saw how differently they viewed him.

This both he and May knew would be a constant within the future. Hearing his words they all guiltily looked away noticing they indeed had been pry none stop.

"Maybe there is a need to clear the air, Taf.

Now I know we both did somethings that seemed inconceivable however our intentions weren't to be revered by anyone. Being labeled lord is neither here nor there for us."

May somewhat interjected with a smile knowing Taf might not be as tactful in his approach to the situation. Knowing fully well May's intentions Taf once more addressed the group,

"So basically stop staring. If there is something on your mind it's best to say it. We aren't mirrors for you to see your reflections."

All the squad member remained quiet before Selena blurted out,

" How are you both this strong?! You are indeed teens right?"

She asked the question that not only plagued her mind but Ava and Malnor as well.

Previously while talking among themselves they came to the notion that it was inconceivable for the sect to gain such talent. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

Therefore they all came back to the general consensus that they hid their age. No matter now Malgrey told them otherwise they did not believe.

"Eh em, Yeah we are indeed teens. I shouldn't but I will break my vow and disclose some details. d.a.m.n it! I bet there are others on the trail so what's wrong with a few more."

All came closers as it seemed what Taf was about to confess was of extreme significance.

"What is it?"

Malnor eagerly questioned as this revelation could be the changing point in his life. Perhaps he and the other among the group could somewhat gain from this knowledge.

Taf with a twinkle in his eyes continued as he looked around ensuring there were no means by which their conversation could be pried on,

"Ok ok, but ensure not to tell a soul. We once found a mysterious tree with mystifying abilities."

Everyone was startled by the revelation of some mysterious tree the two found. Where was this tree and what abilities did it provide? Before anyone could get their question out Taf continued,

" It was immense as it towered into the sky unbridled, though it had no equal. Its top pierced through the clouds where its peak ended was unknown.

I have my suspicions it's a gateway to another dimension. "

This revelation brought eagerness and wonderment as this tree might definitely not be from this world. Once more Taf continued as they held onto his every word,

"Its mere presence was one of omnipotence essentially one would subconsciously bow in its golden radiance.  On its branches were thousands of glowing golden fruit.

At first, we were hesitant but then I had the courage to climb onto one of the ma.s.sive branches."

The more details Taf regaled of his and May encounter with the mystifying true it became even more evident how engrossed all became.

This all made sense as indeed the two must have had some serendipitous encounter.

Even squad Malgrey thought this plausible somewhat and Maybe this tree had some relation to that masked a.s.sailant who they encountered outside of Braveman's Graveyard.

if they were to look at May's reaction fully they would see how much she tried to stifle her laughter. Yet would she be left out of the fun? She then swiftly adjusted her expression before speaking,

"Taf you didn't reveal the words uttered once your hands touched the branches."

May's words garnered even more intrigue from the group. What words did she speak of? Then they received their answer from Taf who at that moment had been rubbing his cheek.

"Hmm, the prophecy huh?"

"Prophecy?"

Lovren exclaimed with the story having taken a further twist. Taf nodded his head in acknowledgment before once more continuing,

"As my hands touched the tree bark an ancient voiced verberated throughout.

It uttered, Eat the fruit and gain a sheer of the prophecy to attain the world. Be a G.o.d that Devils fear, traverse through time and s.p.a.ce."

His words caused mouths to become aghast, this was beyond belief. Seeing their expression their was once more a twinkle in Taf's eyes. Soon there was a look of regret displayed on his face as he shook his head.

"No no! How could I be this dumb? This is where the tale ends."

He persistently gestured disbelief at his own ignorance but this only built suspense for all that were engrossed in the tale. Causing some among the group to plea for him to once more continue,

"Please Taf continue with the details."

Surprising Ava was the one this time who requested him to continue. It could be seen how highly they all viewed such an encounter.

"It matters not what you offer there is by no means I will disclose any additional information."

Taf sighed as he refused to continue once more. This however led to more suspense as all felt the need to know more about this tree and its abilities.

Then Lovren remembered the kind of character he was dealing with. He summoned his s.p.a.ce poach to his hand before throwing it in the direction of Taf.

Taf ran his senses and with a bewildered look on his face replied to Lovren's gesture.

"Such acts of kindness warms my heart but even a mere '600 lqs' could never let this one change his mind. "

There Lovren looked awkwardly as Taf disclosed the small amount he had in his possession obviously not taken it as anything of significance.

Yet it was the best he could offer having only received a slight stipend from the sect of a monthly basis. Taf seemingly had a change in heart as he sighed while uttering,

"However, since you were sincere in your gesture I will give this one detail."

All perked up their ear but this time Taf did something peculiar with his voice hushed he whispered a detailed no other could here only Lovren.

At Taf words lovren expression eyes opened wide with his expression being was of sheer excitement.

Soon another pouch was thrown in Taf"s direction this time it was Selena who was the culprit. Who could blame her with the effect of this tree on display for all to see.

Yet there were those among the group who started to become suspicious of Taf's tale. Especially when he started to accept gestures of qi stones for revelations about the tree. They were Ava, Malgrey, Niesha, and Malnor.

There they watched as Taf with a saintly look upon his face collecting one s.p.a.ce pouch after the next...
