"Isn't this a bit too much?"

A middle-aged man uttered as the icy arrow slowly dissolved in his grasp, this was elder Mu. To his side, Elder Alders could be seen observing Darwin who cared not for protocols grasping onto his legs for dare life. Now it was a certainty his life was saved and no longer was there a need to live in fear.

"Lord Elders, I see you finally came. We were just ensuring that our friend Darwin harmlessly made it to the safe-haven." Taf replied with a courtesy smile.

When all heard his words they were appalled. Obviously Darwin didn't see it this way with the screams for his life. He was being hunted like prey in the wild. How exactly was this called helping?"

Mu looked to the dissolve arrow in his hand before looking at the two.

"My apologies elder you see it was a sleight of hand. I currently am an amateur with a bow and arrow. I couldn't hit a mountain if it formed before me. My only intent was to signal for medical help for our ailing friend. Unfortunately with my novice nature I accidentally hit..."

May became a bit choked up as she spoke as Taf sought to console her,

"There.., there it's not your fault. Now the elders are here and Darwin is in safe hands. Dry those tears as soon enough he would be healed in no time."

Within the safe haven, the disciples all had the same thoughts.

What the f.u.c.k?!

Did these two know how shameless they were? If being an amateur meant hitting your target with pinpoint accuracy every time a bow was nocked, any one of them would gladly aspire for such a t.i.tle.

They also spoke of Darwin as a friend, yet from what they saw he was being hunted down like prey. What about his cries for help?

Elders Mu and Alders were no fools and knew the two spouted bull, yet truthfully they knew with the two's status there wasn't much that could be done. If they had actually killed Darwin charges could have been brought against them, but alas Darwin still breathed so there was no case.

"They spout lies, I cry for justice dear Elders!

I watched as they merciless beat my squad to a pulp and also Garro, Sal, and Brutus of s.h.i.+noda. Both are ruthless and have sworn to take my life? I have been bounded as a disciple of this sect and my life is just as meaningful as anyone else."

Darwin bellowed out his frustration as the two sought to twist the story. He would ensure there was some form of payback for what he has endured. If it meant using all of the resources of his clan he would definitely spare no expense.

Though Darwin had spoken a mouthful only a few of his words were truly heard. Did he say these two by their lonesome defeated Garro, Sal, and Brutus to a pulp? These were known, full circle cultivators ranked with the top 20, with Garro being #9. Wasn't this a bit absurd?

"Please forgive us, dear elders. It seems our friend is succ.u.mbing to a fever due to his injures.

My pal Darwin I know you do not mean what have you spoken. Our friends.h.i.+p I have cherished so dearly. How could I forget the moments shared with you and Laura?

Fear not however as there is a need to joyful. I have no doubt in my mind you will be soon graced by that beautiful smile of hers."

Taf spoke so sincerely which dumbfounded the onlookers. Despite this, Darwin knew the underlined meaning of his words.

He then started to cry out in fear," He has poisoned me, elders! I know for a fact he has poisoned me!"

As he bawled at the top of his lungs the two did not know what to make off the situation. Yet since such an accusation was being made it was best to confirm there was no foul play. Poisoning of course was against the rules, and the punishment quite harsh.

They then took Darwin into the safe haven placing him on a bed that was vacant. Elder Mu then laid his hand on Darwin's body scouring it for any toxic elements. Yet within his body all was perfectly fine excepting the punctures which he had sustained by the arrow piercing.

During this time Taf and May had causally collected the scattered markers that Gendrey and his squad had so generously provided. Being suspected of poisoning they were given strict orders not to leave the area.

After confirming that there were no toxic chemicals in Darwin's body the elders gave the nod to the two that they were free from suspicion, but Alders did leave them with a few words,

"The both of you are quite strong, therefore there is no need to be so excessive." From what he had seen it seems the two had grown by leaps and bounds.

Hearing his words the two nodded as though they had seen the errors of their ways,

"Duly noted Elder. Perhaps we have been a bit overbearing but truthfully this is all due to being our first appearance in such a tournament. I guess the excitement took a hold of us. Please accept our apologies."

If Alders hadn't seen what the two had done prior, there is no doubt he would think these two to be saints. They had the appears of such beings yet he knew this to be untrue.

Now that they were given the go-ahead to leave the two decided to go on their merry way.

However, not before Taf stated his goodbyes to Darwin whose wounds were dressed and now appeared on the road to recovery. There was no doubt that within a few days' time he would be back to his old self.

"Do give Laura my regards. Tell her that wine was the sweetest I have ever had. Also, don't you worry one bit about Lisa. She has been in our care this whole time."

When he heard Taf's words Darwin was taken aback. No wonder he couldn't find that delicacy which has filled his fantasies and made his mouth watery these past months. It appears not only did this b.a.s.t.a.r.d kill Laura, but all along he hid Lisa from his grasp.

Now there was no doubt in his heart he would use every ounce of his ability to have these two, both killed. If he couldn't kill them it would be their parents, grandparents, anyone who shared their bloodline. Darwin sneered as he saw the two leaving having already formulated a plan in his mind.

Taf's threats no longer drove fear in his heart. He knew it was all a bluff and there was no poison within his body. With Elder Mu's extended years of medical practice, how could he be bested by a mere teen?

It didn't take long for a smile to blossom on Darwin's face as his revenge would be, oh so sweet. When they were no more in his field of vision he thought how foolish they truly were. In his clan, he was taught to always be ruthless to your enemies.

Never give them the satisfaction of even thinking of revenge. If you must bury all future troubles in a mountain of corpses, then leave no stone unturned. By letting him live they have open the gateway to a plethora of future woes.

'Oh, the sweet nectar of revenge.' He uttered in his mind as he smiled, but soon it was turned into a frown.

Inside his body, he felt a slight tingle which soon turned into a burning sensation. First, it was his kidneys and then his liver. All the moisture within his body began to dry up as though they were water in a million-mile long desert.

He staggered to his feet in a bid to get some water from a table nearby to soothe his insides. Yet as he drank there was only a feeling of being parched.

At the moment he had no clue what was going on inside his body. Soon what prior was only a burning sensation turned into a gut-wrenching pain. Now he knew something was seriously wrong so Darwin ran in the direction of the elders.

With every second that his feet touched the ground, he felt his organs being chard as electricity coursed through his body. It was as though every tissue inside was being fried and there was nothing that could be done.

He wanted to cry as the pain being felt was inhuman, yet no tears could be felt. It wasn't long before his limbs had lost their functions as he collapsed on the ground. Inside his organs baked until charcoal black while he twitched on the ground.

As screamed in pain Taf's word were the last thoughts that Darwin had.

"Do give laura my regards."

Now he knew what pain his precious had endured as she struggled on the ground.

Plup!

Darwin's eyes suddenly exploded in their socket while his brain sizzled inside his head. Thus was the ended the tale of The Deflowering Prince. who unfortunately never got the chance at revenge he so desperately desired.
