After sending them away, Akihiro once again called for Dai. He was in his office holding a gla.s.s of wine while standing by the balcony when Dai arrived.

"Why didn't you tell us sooner? Or why didn't you stop her?"

This question came to his mind the moment he found out that Dai knew of Eureka's plans. The hand holding the gla.s.s gripped on it tighter. He has anger in him, he knew he shouldn't have it but he just couldn't let it go just like that.

"Your highness, would I be able to?" Dai gave him the simplest answer.

"Then why didn't you tell us?"

"If I had, you would try and stop her. But she would stubbornly not listen to you. Then surely you would insist giving her more burden in her shoulder. She was able to execute everything beautifully because there's nothing stopping her."

"Beautifully indeed, but where is she now? Isn't she gone? Isn't she gone from us?"

"Up to now are you still not trusting her, your highness?"

This was the first time Dai have talked back in such a way to Akihiro. He had always been nodding in agreement or would silently listen. He never tried to defend his stance or anything, he was just an observer.

Her words resounded once again in his mind, truly Eureka have grasped his personality.

Akihiro looked back at him with anger swimming in his eyes. The hand that's holing the gla.s.s were about to break it into pieces.

"She had told us over and over again that she would surely be with all of you in the future. Then why don't you try and trust her even more. She had always been keeping her promises all this time."

Akihiro was stomped for words, Dai had the resolve in his eyes, he had the resolve to trust Eureka's words.

Yet here he was, wallowing in the pain of seeing her disappear in front of his eyes.

"Aren't you the one who had firmly told all of us in the meeting a while ago that she didn't die. Then why is it that you are the one who's crumbling right now?"

Akihiro could only lower his eyes, he had said that a while ago not just to pacify everyone but mostly himself. If he didn't then surely he wouldn't be able to calmly command the people of what they should do after this day.

"I don't even know how I am still able to stand here right now," after a while he spoke and dawned the remaining wine in his gla.s.s before looking back behind him.

Dai chose not to speak any longer and just stood behind him. He only left when Yukimura and the others arrived bringing more wine with them.

They just won a war with nothing but benefits but the atmosphere was completely different, for they have lost the most important piece in winning this war. Their wives were together and so they decided to check on their buddy.

It was not long when his family became complete yet in such a short span of time they lost one member again.

"Are you okay?" Mutsumi asked Haruka worriedly.

All the mothers were currently together at Mutsumi's house. They were all worried about her even Sana

"I have to be fine, I must be fine," Mutsumi smiled sadly at them.

Before the war started, Eureka went up to her.

(Flashback)

When Eureka suddenly came up to her while they were waiting, Mutsumi was startled when she placed her hand on her belly.

"This will be the new light. No matter what happens take care of yourself, mother. Don't be too depressed over the course of how this war would end. Just remember that a little one is here needing your protection."

Eureka looked up and smiled at her.

If she knew that was actually Eureka's last words to her, she would have hugged her tight. As if wanting to really hug Eureka, Haruka hugged her belly instead.

The others seeing this, suddenly thought of something.

"Could you be… pregnant?"

Haruka looked up at them and as tears fall from her eyes she nodded at them while smiling.

"That's why I have to be fine. This little one needs me very much."

They then looked at her in horror, "And you still fought with Juzo?"

Understanding the horror in their looks, "Don't worry, upon finding out, Kaoru and Eureka used their abilities to give protection to the baby. They have sealed and nullified everything about the little one."

"Despite fighting and getting hurt the baby was still fine. That is also why my belly didn't grew. And after Eureka's last move, I felt everything being lifted. And so now, this little one would slowly grow."

Mutsumi and the others have tears in their eyes.

It was to be known that Ice and Magma ability users mostly could only have a child or two. Once the next ability user were born it was already a miracle when another was born. Kaoru was just like that.

But maybe because he also carried the seal ability that's why he was born.

Hauka was the last child as well.

That is why both Akihiro and Haruka created a tremendous miracle when Eureka was born after Nana and Rino.

And now, during the most precarious time, another child was conceived between them, just how blessed were they?

Wiping her tears away, Mutsumi once again asked, "How did you know of her?"

"It was Eureka, after the night that they met sir Azuma and the others. During our breakfast. She has high sensitivity when it comes to auras and so she found it. Actually during that time I was talking to her about undoing the seal on my memories of when I was here as a young lady."

That's right, even her sealed memories were already unsealed. She finally remembered how she had carried her three children, how she had antic.i.p.ated their birth and she fully understood Kaoru's decision of sealing her memories. She had truly lost her mind back then.

"Then do you have a name for the child?" Hanae asked this time.

"Hikari," Haruka happily replied as she caressed her belly.

"You came up with it? Or Akihiro?"

"Eureka. She wanted this child to be, just as the meaning implies, the light. The new light of this world."

All of them understood why she had chosen this name. The first child to be corn after the war. They didn't know if there is another pregnant woman among the people but this child was of the royal blood, the n.o.blest among the n.o.bles.

"Hikari, hmmm indeed a very beautiful name. What if it would be a guy?"

"I want it to still be Hikari, it might be too feminine but he or she will be the new beginning for our family."

Haruka would still be grieving if not for this child inside her, even Akihiro and the twins. And maybe because of Hikari that Eureka's resolved didn't falter. She knew full well that they will be fine while she was gone.

The ladies then decided to make some food out of the things at home and celebrate amongst themselves.

"Compared to you, Haruka seems to be doing much better," Yukimura commented as the lot of them drink in Akihiro's office.

Even s.h.i.+gure and Ichiro joined after coming looking for Akihiro. The others then pulled them along.

"Akihiro, you still have your other family memebers. Eureka wouldn't want to see you like this."

Akihiro drank more before placing his gla.s.s down, he remembered that the other news was not yet heard by his friends.

She then looked up and looked at each of them.

"I'm gonna be a father."

His words made all of them confused. He was already a father what the h.e.l.l is he talking about?

"Haruka is currently pregnant."

*CRASH*

Different gla.s.s broke at the same time. They were holding their gla.s.ses when Akihiro said this.

"Wh How did that happen?"

Akihiro raised his brows, what do they mean by how did that happen?

"No, we don't mean it in a different way. What we are asking is when did she get pregnant and she even fought against Juzo."

Akihiro then explained to them what Haruka had explained to the ladies.

"That's why I just want to succ.u.mb to this sadness for tonight. I know that Eureka didn't want us to break down for her disappearance. But she was still our daughter. It wasn't even half a year when we found out about her and now she was once again gone from us."

Akihiro's tears flowed.

That's right, it wasn't even that long yet. They only spent their time for so short. Yet she was once again gone. Can't she just stay put for a bit?

The other men could only clamp his shoulder in support as the servants changed their gla.s.ses into a new one. They have decided to end this night with nothing but drinking.

As if crying with all of them, the sky have started getting dark and soon a strong rain poured down on the grounds.
