Chapter 5: Yan Luan.

300 AD, it was a b.l.o.o.d.y period, filled with war and deaths of the innocents. The north and the south were separated from the territory, claimed by the Qi and the Yan respectively.

In the Ye City, a glamorous feast party was being held. Beautiful dancers weaved around gracefully, entertaining the guests as the owner of the residence, Lord Chu, celebrating his fortieth birthday. As the brother of the current queen dowager, Lord Chu was given the t.i.tle of “Guo Jiu”, basically the uncle of the country. Every n.o.bles in the city were invited, and not a single invited guests dared to reject the invitation.

As the men started to get drunk from partying, an old servant stood behind the Lady Chu, the wife of Lord Chu, and whispered softly into her ear. Her face turned pale as she rushed off, away from the party, after hearing her servant's words.

“Where is Chu YunShang! Is she crazy!? If the person she pushed into the pond was Jiang FuYuan, there'll be little to no issue, but the Weng Zhu!?” Lady Chu exclaimed in rage as she rushed towards where her daughter was, “The Imprial Princess would kill us all if she found out!”

“This old slave witnessed the whole incident,” The old servant cowered in fear at Lady Chu's anger, “Upon noticing the Weng Zhu, Miss Chu ran up to her and pushed her into the pond before this old slave could react!”

“That spoiled brat!” Lady Chu cursed angrily.

As they reached the northern parts of the Chu residence, the family doctors were already rus.h.i.+ng in and out the building, their expressions grim. Lady Chu, noticing their facial expressions, fell as her legs grew weak, but was fortunately steadied by her old servant before both women rushed towards the entrance.

Mi Yang Weng Zhu's actual name was Yan Luan. She had been famous for her extreme beauty throughout the entire city from the young age of eight. She had inherited the imperial princess's good looks and the warm posture of her Father, Marquis Hou. At the age of ten, she was recognized as the reincarnation of Water G.o.ddess for her striking beauty and intelligence.

And right now, she was laying unconscious in House Chu, her face as pale as paper and it looked as if she was having trouble breathing as she spasm weakly on the bed.

“H…how is the Weng Zhu's condition?” Lady Chu asked the family doctor weakly.

“It's not looking good, the water went into her internal organs, mainly her lungs…” The doctor answered grimly, knowing the seriousness of this situation, “There's nothing we can do now.”

Lady Chu swayed as her head became dizzy, and fell weakly into her servant's arms, “Invite Lord Chu here, and send someone to get that brat!” She screamed in rage, “Let her kneel outside this building, and if the Weng Zhu does not wake up, I'll kill her myself!”

Lady Chu was actually the stepmother of Lord Chu's children, as she was instilled as the Main Wife after his previous wife pa.s.sed away. The previous wife had left behind a sole son and a sole daughter, which she took in with care as she had no choice. The young master was alright, but the young miss was loved and pampered by the Queen Dowager Chu and was bestowed the t.i.tle of “Xian Zhu” from a very young age, hence turning her into an extremely spoiled brat with a huge temper. But who could have known that her unrestricted actions would cause such a life threatening disaster to their household.

A deep wail was heard in the building and in her shock, Lady Chu ran into the building, just to see Lady Jiang hugging her daughter in her arms, weeping loudly.

“My dear daughter, I beg of you… Please wake up!” She wailed mournfully, tears streaming down her face, “Mother will not let the criminal escape, as soon as your father is here, he'll definitely take revenge for you!”

Lady Chu's headache intensified as she heard Lady Jiang's words, today was supposed to be a day of celebration, but now it had turned into this huge mess. We won't need to wait for Lord Jiang, She thought weakly, As soon as the imperial princess reaches, we're all doomed anyway…

“She's awake! Lady Chu, Weng Zhu is awake!” A panicking servant rushed up to her, screaming in joy.

“Truly!?” Lady Chu gasped in relief, her slender hands covering her agape mouth. She walked weakly towards the previous room where the Weng Zhu had laid and watched in amazement as the Weng Zhu sat up, all by herself.

“Weng Zhu, how are you feeling?” She gasped softly.

But to Lady Chu's dismay, the Weng Zhu who had called out to her sweetly two hours ago, was now sitting on the bed with a blank look on her face, “Who are you? Where is this? Where are the doctors?”

Half a month had pa.s.sed ever since the ground-breaking news of the incident in House Chu and Mi Yang Weng Zhu's amnesia. But the news had not fade with time, as the ladies and misses of the other prestigious houses were still gossiping about the cruel and vicious Xian Zhu, who was forbidden to leave her living quarters as punishment. This was because she had the Queen Dowager protecting her, even though Yong Kang Imperial Princess sued her to the king.

Yan Luan sat in front of her desk, staring at her reflection in the mirror as she admired her good looks.

“This face is exactly as described in the history books,” She caressed her face lovingly as she muttered softly to herself to prevent any eavesdroppers from listening in to her crazy words, “Such a beautiful face, I'm such a winner in life!”

When she first woke up in House Chu half a month ago, she had been absolutely confused, as her last memory was of a major car incident, and as she stared at the ancient people surrounding her, she almost thought this was the underworld before realizing that she had transmigrated into the famous Mi Yang Weng Zhu, Yan Luan.

Initially, Xu Wan had cried in her heart after she realized that she was now Yan Luan, who would live down throughout history as the main charactre of the Incest Siblings, but she had then accepted her fate after thinking it through. As I know what would happen next, wouldn't I be able to change the history?

Right now, Yan Luan was thirteen, and the rape incident caused by her drunk brother, Yan Jing, would happen in two years. Knowing this, Xu Wan felt as if she could see her bright future ahead of her, but first, she needs to avoid her brother at all cost.

Perhaps the G.o.ds were kind, as her father had taken Yan Jing along with him to the war, as training, and he would not be back for at least a year or more.

After arranging her thoughts and plans, Xu Wan decided that she would enjoy her new life, as she was, in fact, a daughter of the imperial princess. But before that, she needed to confirm something important.

The scenery in Ye City had always been beautiful, and her residence was filled with different types of plantations, especially cherry blossom trees, which was Yan Luan's favorite.

As she strode through the beautiful garden, she recalled her past memories of the history book, her current residence was extremely huge as Marquis Huai had merged his old residence with the Princess's residence, hence the land was exceptionally large. And her mother, being the most loved sister of the king, was showered with countless rare gifts and endless money when she was married to Marquis Huai. Hence Xu Wan had came to the conclusion that her family is filthy rich, perhaps even richer than w.a.n.g s.h.i.+, the richest business in the city.

“Ah Luan.” As she gathered up a bunch of cherry blossoms in her arms, a deep voice sounded nearby, after racking her mind, she recalled that this man was her second brother, Yan Dao. For some strange reasons, when her gaze landed on Yan Dao, her heart trembled, as if it was uncomfortable and somewhat scared.

“Ah! It's second brother!” She smiled sweetly at him, burying her fear deep inside of her.
