In a few minutes, Erin calmed down. She peeked out from the chest of Richard and saw that there were already many creatures surrounding the two of them. Her face flushed as she panicked. What was she supposed to do now? Stay like that? This situation was really awkward for her.

Richard saw that Erin was feeling quite embarra.s.sed. He patted her once again and whispered in her ear. "Hold tightly, we are going back to the castle. I'll fly you to it." When Erin heard him, her body stiffened. They would be flying? Would it be alright? And why was he bringing her with him? But on second thought, it was Richard who brought her there and she didn't know anyone else. So it wasn't strange that they were to go back together.

"Listen, clear up the battlefield and go back to the castle!" Richard ordered in a loud voice, at the same time covering Erin's ears with his hands. She was startled at first but soon relaxed again. Just as she relaxed, Richard spread his wings and started flying. She couldn't help but hold tightly to him.

Richar was quite glad to carry her like that. Thinking about the kiss, he couldn't help but lick his lips, still feeling Erin's scent and taste. He shook his head. ' I was too hasty with that kiss. It's not the time yet. That scene really gave me a scare. How dare a mere wolf try to have my girl? No one except me shall have her!'

If Erin knew what Richard was thinking right then, she would for sure try and run away from him. At the moment, however, she was looking at the scenery. The forest was still the gloomy forest, the mist was still there, but somehow it looked beautiful. She relaxed once again, watching as they were flying. She couldn't help but smile. That was a first for her, flying in the sky. The feeling was just great.

A few minutes later, Erin's eyes fell on the scene at the castle. "What happened here? Why is everything in ruins?" Erin started worrying. 'Are they under attack? What about the enemy?'

"Those hateful humans attacked the castle when I was away. Cowards! They will repay for what they've done!" As he said that, Richard's expression was one of madness. Feeling that and hearing his words, Erin's eyes widened. Why were the humans attacking the castle? What was really going on here?

As they landed on the ground, Erin felt even more uneasy. Half of the castle was in ruins. There were a lot of dead bodies and crying children. That scene was just horrible. Erin's eyes got teary again. Was it really humans? More like animals! How could they kill everything in front of them? That wasn't something anyone could tolerate. She couldn't help but feel sorry for those races living here; those who were killed and those who had lost someone close.

Seeing the grieved expression in Erin's face, Richard couldn't help but glance again at her. It seemed as if she was already concerned for his people. That was a good sign. That meant she was feeling at home here. He shouldn't worry about that. "Let's go to the main building." He finally set her free from his embrace and gently put her down at the ground.

Erin nodded and started walking slowly. She was still watching her surroundings. There were the wounded everywhere, some were half burnt, others with missing limbs. It was a tragedy. She couldn't watch anymore and turned her gaze into the front.

Richard sighed. Erin was still too emotional. Girls were girls, after all!. He has to toughen her character. At least, she should learn how to hide her feelings and thoughts. That was a weak point. Thinking about that, he started making some plans for the future.

They entered the main building, walking through the corridors. She could see there was a battle here too. All of a sudden, she had a bad feeling. 'What about Anna? Is she alright?' Thinking of this, Erin couldn't help but quicken her pace. She looked around, but couldn't find Anna. Her uneasiness became even stronger. What would she do without Anna? She had to find her! Or else, who would help her with the girl's stuff?

While thinking about that, Richard's face and memory of the kiss came to her mind. She shook her head in dismay. What was she thinking? Why was Richard appearing in her thoughts? That was quite strange! Was it because he just had kissed her? Yes, that should be the reason! What a bully! How could he kiss her like that!? Shaking her head again, she tried not to think of that.

Walking a bit more, Erin finally saw Anna. Anna was lying still in a pool of blood, her eyes closed. Erin panicked. 'Is she dead already?'
