Richard smiled and disappeared in the shadows. He would watch from the sides. Erin looked at Anna and Lyse and saw them smiling. She heaved a sigh and turned around to watch the movements of the men.
Anna turned to the hypnotized man and licked her lips. "Time for the appetizer before the main dish," she said and bit his neck, drinking his blood. Her eyes turned crimson and her nails and canines got longer and sharper. She felt her energy increasing more and more.
Lyse looked at Anna and turned her head back to the group coming out of the mansion. "S-should I try s-separating them?" She asked, hesitating.
Erin looked at her and back at the mansion. She contemplated for a moment and shook her head. "Don't attack yet, yet they go out and we'll go inside to get rid of the trade slavers first. Then we'll go after the rest".
Anna just finished her drinking and heard Erin's words. She smiled and nodded. Her master's plan wasn't bad. It would be a lot easier if they waited a bit for the group to disperse and then attacked smaller groups one by one.
Two minutes later, there weren't more movements from the mansion. The group of people was already away from there. "Time to go," Erin said and took the lead.
They moved slowly and checked their surroundings all the time. After all, that might be a trap. Going inside the mansion, they started checking rooms one by one. Most of the rooms in the front were for the guards and servants to sleep in, so at the moment there wasn't anyone inside. "Should we separate?" Anna asked.
"No, let's not rush. We'll move together. That way we can be safer if there is any danger." Erin said and opened the door to another room. There were only two beds and a table in the room. Shaking her head, she continued forward. That mansion had only one floor, but its size was huge. There were more than thirty rooms in it and the corridor was quite long, branching out in three directions.
The group stood at the intersection and looked at the three paths. "So, we go together or separately?" Anna asked again.
"Hmm, let's move together. There is really no need to move fast. Even if the men who left can't find anything right away, they should return late." Erin still chose the safest method.
"Let's check the middle corridor first." She said and moved forward. There weren't any doors in the corridor and it was quite deserted. After a turn, they finally saw a door. Two guards were standing in front of it. Erin hastily pushed the two other girls back and looked to check for signs of danger.
"Alright, leave those two to me," she said and merged in the shadows, moving in the guards' direction.
Lyse peeked with interest to see how Erin would handle this. Anna also watched with a smile on her face. After a few seconds, they saw Erin emerging from the shadows and thrusting her hand in the back of one of the guards. Her form was already changed, with crimson eyes and hair, and her long canines and nails. The guard wasn't even able to react before his head separated from his body and blood started to gush out from his neck like a fountain, the body tumbling to the ground.
The other guard was late to react, he tried to unleash his sword and cry for help at the same time, but Erin was already next to him. She slashed at his neck and blood started pouring down. The guard chocked on his own blood and didn't manage to say a word. Next, Erin grabbed his hand, which was about to draw the sword and dug her nails in it. A crack sounded and the man's eyes bulged out of their sockets. His forehead started to sweat from the pain. Finally, Erin bit at his neck and he completely lost his power to retaliate.
The blood was sweet as always. Erin enjoyed the taste, sucking more and more, not able to stop herself from finis.h.i.+ng all the blood. Lyse watched with indifferent eyes. In her life, she saw a lot of killing, torture and all sorts of wounds. Though this scene was unique since she wasn't used to seeing how someone was drinking blood, it wasn't enough to make Lyse repulsive in the least. She felt it was a natural thing.
Lyse and Anna left the corner and moved next to Erin, waiting for her to finish. From the room beyond, they could hear a few voices. There were people in the room, most likely arguing about something, but they weren't too loud in their arguing, so Anna couldn't hear their conversation.
Erin finally finished with the guard's blood and licked her lips, bringing the last drops of blood into her mouth. She looked up and saw Anna and Lyse were already next to her. 'I should be concentrating more when I drink blood. Why am I going into trance every time I drink human blood?' She reprimanded herself in her mind and pushed the dead body away.
Erin looked at Anna and Lyse and moved her gaze to the door. "Let's see who is inside," she said and walked next to the door. With a slight push, the door opened with a low squeaking sound. The conversation in the room abruptly stopped.
When the girls entered the room, they saw five-man, two fat and three skinny ones, sitting on chairs. Those men were looking at them now with shock in their eyes.
"Who are you? How did you come in?!" The fat man in the middle asked, his voice loud. "GUARDS! COME HERE! THERE ARE INTRUDERS!" He bellowed. He never left his guard down, even if the girls in front of him looked weak and innocent, it was impossible for anyone to enter the room without alerting the guards.
"Master, I like your decision to come openly inside the room. That way we can get everyone here in one go and kill them." Anna grinned, but her smile was like the devil's smile in the eyes of the people in the room. Lyse shrugged from the side and Erin forced a smile back at Anna. It wasn't what she wanted to do, but she just wasn't thinking of that. So she just entered without realizing her mistake. Luckily, it wasn't a big mistake.
"Let's first get rid of all the guards. Those men are weak, I can sense it. They won't be a threat." Anna suggested. "I-I Agree" Lyse also added. "Alright. let's wait for the guards first." Erin sighed. She prepared mentally for the oncoming battle.
