- [Surveillance Camp] -

"The b.a.s.t.a.r.ds are coming!!" A Kobold shouted that was closer to the corridor.

The quiet place was filled with the sound of footsteps of the monsters that came in a horde with intentions not friendly to the Kobolds, but as if it were a coincidence, a lot of shadows began to appear from the fog, at the beginning they could count with one hand, but little by little the perimeter surrounding the surveillance camp was filled with shadows hidden in the fog, the Kobolds that were previously in the perimeter of the camp, retreated to decrease the chances of death looming over all of them.

"To your positions!!" Another voice rang in the camp while all the Kobolds formed two walls, one in each direction in which the enemies show themselves, their way of moving and responding to the orders, they showed that it was not the first time they suffered this.

Because of all the orders and the shouts of the Kobolds full of bravery, they made it easier for the glombus to determine where they were, which made all the glombus run wild in the direction of the camp.

The Kobolds were not altered to see how the glombus are launched towards them while releasing a great thirst for blood, the reason was shown when a kobold gave a signal with his hand to start something.

As soon as the signal was given, some Kobolds touched the ground with their palms with total concentration on their task, thus causing a line of light to form on the ground until they reached a circle with a round object in the center, shortly after this action, the round objects began to shake a little while releasing a metallic sound like an alarm since within the metal, a sphere there was another smaller sphere which is composed of a specific material that repels the magic as it moves away from the source and is enclosed within a sphere, it never stops cras.h.i.+ng into the walls of the other sphere, thus becoming an alarm or a sphere of squeaky sounds that disorients the glombus.

The sound of the alarms was sharp enough to slightly hurt the ears of animals with sensitive ears and if it is a monster that depends of their ears, the effect is increased by many levels, this could be seen by seeing how the glombus left of running and tried to block the sound while few others tried to getaway.

Some glombus whipped their heads against the ground to try to numb the pain in their ears, some were so brutal that they ripped off their own ears, at first they were a few, but quickly all the glombus had shattered their ears or had moved away to a distance where the sound will not bother them so much.

*Woaaaghr!* Suddenly the glombus let out some loud roars and blindly threw themselves towards the Kobolds which had already stopped feeding the magic circuit since it consumed a lot of magic and decided to face the rest of the blind glombus.

Alex appreciated all this from afar with enough interest in how the Kobolds reacted to the horde of monsters.

It was Alex's thought when he saw the chaos.

Alex's figure became blurry as he sped up his pace among all the glombus that exploded into pieces, all of them were shattered by Alex's spiritual form that eliminated them in a single blow.

Alex became a shadow between the glombus, place where Alex's shadow could be seen, place where he is, a ma.s.sacre of the glombus became, at all times Alex didn't release the crystal, since the poisonous fog had become very dense by a large amount of glombus in the area.

The Kobolds were surprised with the speed at which they saw the glombus disappear or explode throughout the area, some Kobolds could barely keep up with Alex's shadow.

Alex formed small spheres of darkness that turned doors and exits, which caused the annihilation of the glombus to accelerate dramatically.

The figure of Alex became visible throughout the battlefield, since he only left one sphere to enter another shortly after, although it was a small moment when he left the spheres, he could destroy the glombus near him with his claws, with the pa.s.sing of the seconds, Alex became more confident as he moved through the spheres, to the point that he moved through them while the spheres constantly change location, little by little Alex developed a perception ability spatial that allows him to perceive his environment in a three-dimensional way and know where exactly he is in that s.p.a.ce, if at the beginning he had a large margin of error, his other physical and magical abilities allowed him to easily overcome them.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

The Kobolds froze in fear and astonishment at the sight of how a small beast easily eliminated a great army of glombus.

Alex's current situation does justice to the saying that the Magicians are demolition weapons and even more deadly when their enemies pile up in groups.

At some point Alex began to run around the glombus who felt how dangerous Alex is through their instincts, when they began to flee, they made something primordial inside Alex wake up, a s.a.d.i.s.tic and playful side of every feline, playing with his prey, if Alex used to endure it, he now gave him free rein when he had the confidence to play with his prey.

Alex began to enter and leave his spheres while leaving large wounds on the glombus, but not enough to kill them. Only when the glombus felt that they had escaped from Alex, they would discover that a powerful flame would consume them until his death while a small cat would watch them from the shadows and then do the same with other glombus that were nearby.

The Kobolds who had been watching all this, could not help but look at Alex with adoration, the beast of purple eyes that came and saved them from great losses, some Kobolds who saw what happened gathered raw meat while the others went to support the other team of kobolds that was blocking the entrance of more glombus to the place.

Without any Kobold noticing, Alex had entered the fort and had taken a small box and decided to sit on it, the box had some jewels, which were taken by Alex as they were a hindrance to him.

Alex thought as he lay in the small box, Alex seemed to break the common sense of the Kobolds when they saw Alex get into the small box and close it with his tail, they only knew that Alex was in there since sometimes, he pulled his leg from the only hole in the box. Alex did this because of him spending more mana than the necessary when he was playing with his prey and now he decided to rest a bit, since he had to be in his best condition to face the boss of the floor.

Alex kept thinking as he settled inside the box, which only had a small slot the size of an inch to open the box, so Alex could get his leg out and s.n.a.t.c.h a piece of cooked meat that a Kobold offered him shortly after a few minutes.

Alex ate the meat calmly without knowing the scramble he made at the Kobolds' camp.

The Kobolds managed to eliminate all the glombus that tried to enter the place since they could concentrate in one place and take turns fighting them thanks to Alex who was in his box resting, the Kobolds had removed all the things from where Alex was put it, leaving the wooden box alone on the table, with two Kobolds nearby watching that nothing bother Alex.

The night pa.s.sed without problems, the Kobolds kept watch as they normally would on other days, but those who rested had to do it away from Alex's box to not wake him, this was done out of respect and as thanks, they had heard from Alex before, but they had discredited the rumors, but experiencing it and being saved by the beast, made them glorify Alex a little, especially for saving them from their possible deaths at the hands of some glombus... that monster has a grotesque form of end the lives of their victims.

If it is not direct, the victim only awaits a slow and painful torture until his death, since the Glombus tries to extend as long as possible the life of his victim while eating it little by little, normally the glombus capture their victims and then they flee to the deepest of the fog where they will eat their prey.

The death at the hands of a Glombus was the most frequent nightmare in the village of the end, that's why there were only strong and slightly deranged Kobolds, since they were able to lead a normal half-life in this place while defending their families or colleagues from the glombus

In fact, all the Kobolds of the mist village already knew that the Glombus only invaded this place under the guidance of the d.a.m.n demon, he told them in person, but they did not want to share this information with the other Kobolds of other villages since they did not want some Kobolds innocent of the danger of the next floor, to challenge him only to face the devil.
