w.a.n.g Ling's smile went unnoticed. He managed to mask it with his usual calmness the cold sweat that appeared on his back still spread.

Unpleasant yet important memories flooded his mind, that night where blood dyed the world appeared. Inside his body was his Saint Soul, trembling, it was being affected by his emotions.

He wanted to let loose, but before his emotions managed to take control of him, a pleasant coolness entered his meridians and calmed him down. From inside his clothing appeared a fox that jumped on top of his head.

Xiao Jianfa turned around to look at the just appearing white fox, he raised a brow and the white fox introduced herself: "I apologize for my late introduction, my cultivation had been running amok since yesterday and I only managed to calm it down just now. Either way, Bai Xue is my name, I am the partner and companion of the w.a.n.g Family's w.a.n.g Ling in his journey throughout the martial world."

w.a.n.g Ling listened to Bai Xue and began circulating his qi inside his veins. Making sure that his heart had calmed down and the unpleasant memories repressed to the point it was buried deep within himself.

"Yu'er, is the preparation of the food already complete?" Xiao Jianfa asked he meant to ask it in a much colder manner, but his voice was deliberately making it sound softer.

Xiao Yu, nodded her head elegantly as she answered him with a soft smile, "It is already done, dear. The ingredients you have procured for today had already been prepared, sigh, Fei'er, can you please…"

"Ehem! That is enough, Yu'er." Xiao Jianfa interjected in order to stop her words from coming out, "Let us first have food, it must have taken you a long time before to get here."

The family sat down, they began to eat, and Xiao Jianfa suddenly realized something… the atmosphere was pretty unsettling.

He started looking around and turned to his grandchildren who was moving with elegance and dignity. He turned to his daughter and she was smiling at the sight of him and her children having food together.

He turned to Xiao Yu, and she only flashed him a smile, her expression was as light as ever, but behind it he could pick up some of the words she wanted to say, "You dug your own grave, climb up from it yourself."

Xiao Jianfa sighed, he communicated to Xiao Yu with his eyes and pleaded him for help. Xiao Yu sighed at the sight of her husband acting like so. She decided to help him, though it would be best if he can forget acting in this manner so, she 'helped' him.

But then, w.a.n.g Hong had a sudden realization, "Ah! So it was grandfather? I have thought who it was before but who would have thought that it would be grandfather."

Xiao Fei'er got interested at what w.a.n.g Hong had just said and asked what this is about.

Though I never really connected those dots to grandfather because he looked so young back then."

But Xiao Yu did, "I never told of you that before? That was such a good time, I even wrote it to some book because I found it quite interesting. In all of your father's antics, this one is one of my favorites.

w.a.n.g Yue was surprised to hear that but her face suddenly beamed as she announced, "Yes, I do!"

"Then, wait for me here."

w.a.n.g Ling who was by the side had his mouth agape, he turned to look at Bai Xue and she too was at a loss for word.
