Monstrous geniuses were supposed to be few even in the forces that is scattered throughout the realm. But at the place where the current w.a.n.g Family stands, they have already produced 4 of them.

w.a.n.g Ling, w.a.n.g Hong, The Shadow, and it seems like the next one would be the little fox that is always together with w.a.n.g Ling.

"There's also that little la.s.s that came here before. I heard she's already at the energy palace stage at such a young age and the fact that w.a.n.g Hong is improving even faster now is beginning to make me really feel worried about the w.a.n.g Family's future."

Lu Tao spoke to himself. He sighed at the current position of the w.a.n.g Family, a grand powerhouse that stands as one of the strongest powers of the Frost Domain. Alongside with the behemoths Yan Clan, Mu Clan, and Frost Peak Sect, they are the one who holds tremendous potential for growth.

They are merely a subpar force in the Central Regions, but the position they stand upon is a place that might endanger them. A family with four geniuses that stand at the very peak of the central regions.

The mysterious power that backs them up and the righteous sword that protects them from the side. Quite frankly it is a power that is a thorn on the side of many powerhouses just like the Xie Clan who despises the w.a.n.g Clan.

Lu Tao knew the w.a.n.g Family all too well and he knew that it has no intention of biting the other forces unless they show their fangs first. The w.a.n.g Family is a silent predator that still sleeps, it is a dangerous faction that must be dealt with quickly but no one wants to take the responsibility of disturbing the den of a monster in fear of receiving its wrath.

"The w.a.n.g Family is going to rise soon and in the wake of their success are useless opportunists who want to ride their tail. And considering the husband and couple of headaches, they will not like the view of those people… should I stockpile on wine before chaos ensue?"

Lu Tao's words could only be heard by him and his two disciples. But as he began daydreaming about drinking wine as chaos descended in the realm, he heard the chortle of Mao Lan by his side.

"What is so funny, Lan'er?" asked Lu Tao in curiosity.

Mao Lan did not answer and merely pointed towards Bai Xue who was announcing some pretty good things about making a bet. Behind her was a white banner that says, "STRONGEST OF THE GRADE-D GENIUSES, STEP FORTH AND BET 10,000,000 POINTS IN ORDER TO EARN THE t.i.tLE AND 20,000,000 POINTS!"

The words were written in red as if they were blood. At first, he scoffed at the sight of the banner, he thought only idiots and stupid young n.o.bles would take such a blatant and obvious bait. But he sensed the odd reaction of Fu Peng who was dazedly observing the sight, he had a hunch that made him choke.

He did not even need to ask because Mao Lan who was laughing in delight announced, "Ten people had already bit the bait. This willful fox is amazing and the students who accepted the challenge are even more amazing! Why is time so slow? How come noon arrives so slowly? I wish the Festival stars soon!"

Lu Tao and Fu Peng stared in horror as more students bit on the bait that is laid out to them. Lu Tao stared at Fu Peng and asked in disbelief, "Is this the 'geniuses of this generation? Fu Peng, what criteria have you been using in accepting students? This is going to cause the academy to fall sooner or later, what did I say? The quant.i.ty of students does not matter, we need quality, QUALITY!"

Fu Peng shrunk to the side and could only apologize. He had no excuse, and even if he had, he can't exactly say it aloud while Lu Tao is acting like so. Lu Tao might be eccentric and fun to play around with, but once he is p.i.s.sed or irritated, doing anything unnecessary will merely result in a tragedy.

Lu Tao was incensed as he asked, "What are you going to do? This Festival is already starting even before noon comes. How long before noon?"

"Thirty minutes! Master." Fu Peng answered.

"That means there should be thirty or so students who will give up their points?"

Lu Tao could do nothing but watch as his academy shows off its most outstanding students. He was depressed, but that depression shot to the skies as Bai Xue altered the betting to 15,000,000 points with the grand price of 50,000,000 points. At that point, Lu Tao was already asking for Fu Peng to take out the treasures in his collection and start selling them.

Because soon enough this little la.s.s will have enough points to buy anything from the academy or sweep their Stellar Stones.

In the w.a.n.g Family where everything was already in chaos, an abrupt visit managed to ignite the irritation of Butler Sun and Qimi.

In the Gust Hall of the w.a.n.g Family Main House, there was an old man and a youth. The old man was wearing a blue robe and the character Mu embroidered on the left chest. The youth was also wearing similar clothing like the old man.

But unlike the old man, the youth's clothing was more luxurious. This young man was Mu Feng, the 27 years old young master of the Mu Clan.

His countenance held a bright and confident smile and as he sat on a chair with the infamous Sun Wu right in front of him, he opened his mouth and proudly announced!

His words was cut as Sun Wu brought out a red spear and had it quietly rest by his side. A wave of bloodl.u.s.t and killing intent swept over the entire room as he gave Mu Feng a stare right in the eyes.

With a grimace blatantly plastered on his face, Sun Wu opened his mouth as he uttered a few lines that greatly encompa.s.sed the words that was stuck deep within his heart…
