"Hey, wake up, w.a.n.g Ling, wake up!"

"Where am I? Ouch, that hurt.."

w.a.n.g Ling could feel his body to be moving without a problem. And as he opened his eyes, what he saw caused his eyes to widen.

A man was before him. That brown hair, that contour of his face, the mild and carefree expression of that man, it was so nostalgic that he forgot about the pain on his head, "Master?"

w.a.n.g Ling asked in confusion.

The man he calls master furrowed his brows and then showed a ferocious face to w.a.n.g Ling, "You lazy disciple, get up and get ready, we need to move! Come and move, we are heading to the North, hehe, this master of yours managed to secure a good location for the Academy."

w.a.n.g Ling puzzled expression as memories of the past flooded his mind. It was a familiar scene this was, it was too familiar as it had already happened in the past.

"I know this already happened, this is the time when Master and I went to the North to secure the unnamed mountain from the bandits. This is the past?" w.a.n.g Ling questioned and he looked around, "This must be an illusion."

He was already aware that this place was not real, and as he became aware of it, he looked around and saw a pen nearby. Grabbing it in a hurry, w.a.n.g Ling took it and stabbed it in one of his eyes.

Blood gushed out and he wailed in pain, he saw the image of his master flashed and tried to move but the world crumbled as soon as he went ahead and change the script of the illusory world.

The world showed signs of static and soon, he saw his body growing up. But as he looked at his clothing and surrounding, the world still seemed to be an illusion. He creased his brows, [This is a strong world.] He thought and swiftly tried taking his life away.

He had a sword tied to his waist. He grabbed it and was about to slit his throat and once again get out of the illusory world when a young boy about the age of 10 s.n.a.t.c.hed it away from him and runoff.

"Haha, I got Martial Brother's sword!" The kid gave w.a.n.g Ling a satisfied look on his face and then run off with the sword. Against his rational thinking, w.a.n.g Ling runs after the kid and just like that, he was sucked into the pace of the illusory world.

w.a.n.g Ling lived his memories like it was real. He once tried going against the flow of the world but the more he tried to go against it the stronger the flow became. Living in a life that is fake but seemed real made w.a.n.g Ling unable to see through anything.

The world was convincing enough that he lived through his memories without a problem. The people he lost was there with him, his master was alive — what more could he ask for?

In one of the training grounds atop the mountain peak, w.a.n.g Ling sat on the gra.s.s watching over the children frolicking around the mountain peak. w.a.n.g Ling had a satisfied look on his face.

But it was at this time that seven figures came flying with high speeds. They were Saints, and w.a.n.g Ling immediately felt their killing intents.

"Bring out the traitorous sc.u.m!" The man screamed out in a loud voice.

w.a.n.g Ling's master got out of the temple in a hurry and his countenance darkened upon seeing the seven men, "Senior Brother, may I invite you to a cup of tea?", w.a.n.g Ling's Master offered with a serious look on his face.

"I am here to dispose of you, having to share a cup of tea with a traitor such as you would only be a disgrace. Kill them all! None shall be left alive." The man abruptly ordered the death of the innocent.

"NO! Don't you dare touch them!" The master went into a rage then tried to meet with the six men who were moving for the kill.

w.a.n.g Ling saw this and he also dashes forth to protect the family he and his master promised to protect. The children present in the temple are all orphans they had met on the way, they had promised the safe haven, and he, being their Martial Brother means he has to protect them like a good senior.

Drawing his sword he valiantly fought the b.a.s.t.a.r.ds who dared to try and harm his sister and brothers. They were about to be beaten as he was subdued shortly after, but w.a.n.g Ling managed to pull through when it managed most.

The pendant he had worn since he was a child glowed with a golden light. A blessing of uncontested strength saved the day. The pendant was given to him by the parents who had abandoned him in the past, and with hope, he clutched it thanking them from protecting him from danger.

But as w.a.n.g Ling was celebrated by everyone, he turned to the body of the slain Saints and then flashes of a red night emerged. Flashes, it was flashes of memory he was unfamiliar with. It made his head hurt. In that scene everyone that he loved was killed; kneeling down he clutched his head and the 'he' in his mind looked at him with tears of blood trickling down his cheeks.

"DO NOT FORGET YOUR CRIMES!" With those words. w.a.n.g Ling's mind was freed from the dream created by the illusory world. He jumped back and looked at the Master, Brothers, and Sisters he had and with a smile of contentment, he whispered, "Experiencing an illusion is enough, I have a world to live in, goodbye."

w.a.n.g Ling at this world was but a Nascent Soul cultivator but he flew to the air and then drew his sword. He circulated his Divine Sword Qi and run his sword through the skies causing it to have web-like cracks.

Like shattered gla.s.s, the sky collapsed and w.a.n.g Ling saw the image of his Internal Demon being stabbed by his sword. With a scowl, w.a.n.g Ling spoke, "Thank you for the dreams, now disappear."

Killing the Internal Demon (Heart Demon), w.a.n.g Ling destroyed the Illusory World that trapped him. He opened his eyes in the real world and then saw the boundless sky that stretches to no end. He got up and noticed something different, the Qi of the world was too dense that it was abnormal.

The presence of h.e.l.lish Qi and Angelic Qi was also too much. It was nor normal. But w.a.n.g Ling had no time to observe such things because as he tried to move his body ached all over. He was left to lie there without any protection. And as he examined his body with his Immortal Qi, he also noticed that he had no clothes on.

He active the Ocean's Lull and managed to grasp that he was inside a crater and in the middle of it no less.

"What happened to me?" He asked himself as he proceeded to heal himself with a mix of Angelic Qi and Chaos Qi. But as he was about to use Chaos Qi, the voice of the Gray Figure rang inside his head.

"Don't use Chaos Qi, I am still unsure what part of Heaven World this is."

w.a.n.g Ling raised a brow after his words; retracting the circulation of his Chaos Qi and focusing his recovery using Angelic Qi, w.a.n.g Ling began asking, "Do you mean that I am in Heaven World? What do you mean by that? I was clearly in the Celestial Spirit Realm just now."

The Gray Figure inside w.a.n.g Ling answered directly into his mind, "Haha, we were ejected out of the realm for almost causing its destruction. The Tribulation you just faced was the 17th of the Immortal Tribulations, it was meant for being that could control s.p.a.ce; it was called Illusory s.p.a.ce Tribulation]. It is basically meant for people who have unlocked their seventh meridians, well you are just unlucky for the Heavens recognizing the thickness of your qi with someone from the seventh rank. Well, that doesn't also mean you are as strong as them, so, tough luck my successor."

w.a.n.g Ling sighed in despair from the words of the Gray Figure, "Why didn't you just possessed my body when I was unconscious or tried healing me when I was out? You could have made yourself useful. Oh right, I need to quickly take my leave, there might be beasts here."

He and the Gray Figure began to argue in order to pa.s.s the time. w.a.n.g Ling tied to heal himself by using his Angelic Qi and even activating his bloodline to increase the whole process. But w.a.n.g Ling was forced to have his bloodline activation stopped, the Gray Figure told him that it was too reckless.

w.a.n.g Ling did not dismiss his words. He followed them and heeded his warnings. This was the first time he had been in the higher realms and whether the Gray Figure is speaking the truth or spouting some bulls.h.i.+t.

But as days pa.s.sed and w.a.n.g Ling finally managed to regain most of his functions, he sensed movements from outside the crater. He tried to move away, but he sensed that those people held no hostility only anxiousness, acting out would only alert them and he could sense that their strengths belonged to a Celestial.

w.a.n.g Ling closed his eyes and pretended to sleep. He only has the bare minimum of clothing wrap around his body. He then heard coming from outside the crater words that baffled him.

"Another person had come down from another realm."

It was then that he remembered that Bai Xue was also with him when he faced the tribulation.
