"Can we use another route? Is there a different path we can use to get there on time?" Xing Yin tried to stay calm as her eyes wandered outside as she tried to search for a possible way to the hotel.
It had been 20 minutes since they had left the village where Aunt Hee and Yuvin live. But now they were stuck in traffic due to a vehicular accident just before the intersection.
"Unfortunately, this is the only pa.s.sable route to the hotel." The driver sounded very apologetic as he gave his reply to Xing Yin's query.
Xing Yin can only let out a sigh of disappointment as she checked her phone and saw that there were already 21 missed calls and all 20 were from Secretary Mo and one was from her father, CEO Xing.
"Aiyo! My old man had tried to call me already and even Secretary Mo... What to do what to do..."
Xing Yin failed to remain calm anymore as her mind imagined her father's wrath upon her late arrival to their company's 25th-year celebration.
Her father probably wanted her to get there earlier so that she can help him welcome guests, as well as meet the son of his new found friend.
When it seemed like all hope was lost, Xing Yin saw a Harley-Davidson road king motorcycle parked in front of a pastry shop. Her eyes sparkled as an outrageous idea sprung in her head.
"Mr. Chou, do you think a motorcycle can pa.s.s ahead?" Xing Yin asked without getting her eyes off the motorcycle.
"Yes, Miss Xing. Looks like motorcycles can pa.s.s by." The driver answered as he saw a stream of motorcycles went past them.
"Good!" Xing Yin yelled as she opened the door of the car and went out.
"M-miss Xing! Where are you, what are you doing?!" The driver panic when he saw Xing Yin went out of the car and straight on to the motorcycle.
"Shhh! Stop yelling my surname in public if you don't want them to find out who I am." Xing Yin scolded Mr. Chou.
"Listen, Mr. Chou. I want you to stay right here and wait for the owner of this motorcycle then explain the details to him. Also, tell him not to worry because I will pay him double." Xing Yin said as she donned the helmet on and swung her leg over the rider seat and let her slender fingers grasped the handheld clutch.
A loud shattering roar was produced the moment Xing Yin revved the engine of the motorcycle. Soon, she was speeding her way to the hotel on a motorcycle she stole while wearing a s.e.xy party dress.
Her driver, Mr. Chou, can only watch in amazement as his pa.s.senger disappeared from his sight's reach. There was nothing left for him to do but to wait for the owner of the motorcycle to walk out of the pastry shop that sells the most delicious vanilla apple tarts in the city.
