"Are they bullying you, my wife?" Before w.a.n.g Reiji can turn her body around to find out who the person was, his voice had already given his ident.i.ty away.

"S-sho..." w.a.n.g Reiji slightly blushed from embarra.s.sment when she saw who her savior was.

"Why are you here?" She added.

However, Qin Sho did not respond to her. Instead, he removed his coat and draped it over her shoulders. His eyes then flickered between w.a.n.g Reiji's face and the guys who had tried to harm her.

"CEO Qin, I will take care of this. I'll make sure to make them pay for bullying madame." Bai Wufei, Qin Sho's a.s.sistant, said as he loosened his necktie and cracked his knuckles.

"I'll leave them to you then. Teach them a lesson they will never forget."

Qin Sho replied before pulling his sleeves up to carry w.a.n.g Reiji in his strong arms.

"Hey! No need to carry me. I can still walk." w.a.n.g Reiji protested her cheeks flushed red again.

"You were staggering earlier, that's why you fell down, right?" Qin Sho replied as he strode toward the bar's exit.

"That was earlier, I am okay now." She slightly wiggled, thinking that she can loosen Qin Sho's grip on her. However, the opposite happened. The more she moved, the tighter his grip became.

"Stay still. Stop moving too much." Qin Sho's voice was gentle yet stern.

w.a.n.g Reiji wanted to argue with him, but her head felt really heavy that she can't even think of a good reb.u.t.tal. She then heaved a deep sigh.

"Okay then, if you insist."

"Good girl." Qin Sho whispered as he drew her closer to his chest.

Soon after w.a.n.g Reiji's ear had been pressed against his chest, she was able to hear and feel the beating of his heart. Qin Sho's heartbeat seemed to be a comforting sound, sending her the feeling that she was in a safe place, that she was protected.

She also had noticed his soft and peaceful breathing against the top of her head before she sunk into the warmth of his body as sleep and fatigue pooled over her eyelids.

Sensing that the person in his arms had fallen asleep, Qin s...o...b..gan to walk slowly, being careful not to disturb her sleep. He was totally being mindful of his steps that he failed to notice the person who had just entered the bar's entrance the same time he had stepped out from its door exit.

Zhang Chenric was still catching his breath the moment he entered inside the bar. His eyes then scanned the vicinity to search for w.a.n.g Reiji. Unfortunately, the person he was looking for had already moved past him at the same time he had set foot inside the bar.

"Was he really that woman's husband?" Zhang Chenric heard someone from the crowd said.

"Maybe, she did not resist him when he carried her princess style." Another person amongst the crowd replied.

"I also heard her say the man's name."

Another person had joined the conversation.

"Husband and wife or not, it's none of your business." Bai Wufei suddenly appeared behind them right after he had disposed of the two guys.

The people who were talking about Qin Sho and w.a.n.g Reiji immediately went silent as they recalled how this guy had thrashed the men who bullied the woman. They then exchanged glances at each other before they decided to escape the scene.

For whatever reason, Zhang Chenric somehow felt that the woman they were referring to was w.a.n.g Reiji. However, the idea that a man, the woman's alleged husband had shown up to pick her up, threw him into confusion.

Frustrated at the same time experiencing jet lag, he pulled his phone, or what initially he thought was his, out from his coat's pocket. When he was about to dial his a.s.sistant's number a sudden realization had hit him when he saw a photo of a lovely little girl on the phone's screen.

The phone he was holding wasn't his. It was w.a.n.g Reiji's. He then heaved a sigh of disappointment before his eyes had locked into the screen of w.a.n.g Reiji's phone.
