The whole selection process for the amba.s.sadress of 'The Jewel' did not go well as the models who auditioned did not pa.s.s the standards of the director and Madam Lin as well as president w.a.n.g.

The collection that 'The Jewel' will be releasing is themed 'Broken Innocence' that is why the trio have been having a hard time as to how the numerous models who have alluring body would portray an innocent woman who had just been introduced to the world.

'Broken Innocence? It's like a story of an innocent lady who had just had her first night with the man she love and found herself to be a seductive woman after she have been owned.'

ChengJia just s.h.i.+vered with the thought she came up with the theme 'Broken Innocence'. She adjusted her gla.s.ses and hugged herself while standing beside director Min, who at the moment was astounded by her. When she looked at director she was frightened with his look which made her took steps backwards.

She clasped her chest, "Gee director! You frightened me."

"What did you say?"

"Ahhhhh... You... frightened me?" she answered reluctantly after blinking a few times.

"No, no, no, no, no, I mean the thing that you said before that," Director Min said swirling his right hand while the other is holding the arm of the chair he is sitting into.

Jia's eyes went left and right trying to remember what she said, then as she remembered something, she snapped her fingers and pointed it upwards grimacing. Director Min seemed to find hope upon the lady's inkling as he motioned her to continue and say it.

"I said, 'Gee director!'" ChengJia answered using the same tone that she used the first time.

Madam Lin burst out laughing while the director's excited demeanor faded and is replaced by disappointment, "Cheng Jia!"

He howled but Jia innocently covered her ears with her palms and closed her eyes. She slowly peeked at the director seconds later, removing her hands from her ears.

"Wh-what did I do this time?" she asked innocently with her puppy eyes.

Director Min was in shock to see her acting cute and decided to wave his hand, "Nevermind!"

"Just try her out," ZhiYong spoke in a cold tone as he gazed at Jia intently.

"Wh-what do you mean t-try me out?" Jia asked looking at ZhiYong. She slowly put her arms around her chest.

Madam Lin chuckled lowly like she is watching a funny show that made Cheng Jia arch her brows in confusion still wrapping her arms on her chest.

"Don't get your imagination run wild Ms. ChengJia," ZhiYong said and added in an accusatory tone, "You're reading a lot of romance novels that made your imagination advance, don't you?"

ChengJia bit her lip and blushed as she withdrew her hands slowly from her chest.

w.a.n.g ZhiYong coughed and shook his head gaping his mouth open, "I'm speechless. You're impossible."

'What's wrong with reading novels? This man doesn't have even an inch of romance in his skin. I pity his wife.'

"Ms. ChengJia, don't get the message wrong. Could you do us a favor to change into something ladylike?"

This time it's Madam Lin who spoke in a gentle manner with her eyes glistening with hope towards Jia who seemed confused.

"You see, we are here for almost a day now but we have not chosen any lady for 'Broken Innocence' yet. So we would like to let you try it since you seem to have an idea about what the theme is about."

Jia pointed a finger to herself, "I do?"

"Yes. A while ago you are mumbling something about what you think about 'Broken Innocence'."

The lady's eyes widened in realization that she had spoken her thoughts outloud.

'This woman is hopeless.'

ZhiYong thought to himself as he looked at Jia's reaction.

Jia's eyes is focused on Madam Lin, who she think has the most genuine smile in the world that made her heart want to melt.

"O-okay. I'll try it."

The director instantly called the make up artist with a hopeful smile and ZhiYong just rubbed his chin. Madam Lin of course tugged a wide smile.

As ChengJia was dragged to change, she patted ZhiYong's arms.

"Grandson, isn't she cute? I can see XinYi's innocence in her."

"Grandma, my XinYi is different. She's way better than that lady."

Madam Lin just smiled understandingly at ZhiYong and diverted her attention to a model who is just like the other models who came on stage earlier.

Minutes pa.s.sed and ChengJia is already done changing. Instead of wearing her gla.s.ses, she wore her contacts.

"Awe! Ms. Jia you looked gorgeous," the make up artist praised Jia.

She beamed widely, "Really?" she said turning to see herself at the mirror.

She too is awestruck, the dress she is wearing fits her perfectly. Like other girls, she really wanted to dress up but because she is not from a well-off family, she was not able to wear fancy dresses.

She is wearing a silk, blue and gray off-shoulder dress that reached an inch above her knee. The dress looked simple in front but its back is half open that if ChengJia is facing her back, one would notice her silky smooth skin especially that her hair is pulled up into a loose bun.

"Ms. Jia wear this heels."

ChengJia obliged. She slipped on the gray stiletto heel with embellished ankle strap. When she stood up, she looked even more dazzling as she straightened her back looking dignified.

The make up artist is more delighted at what she saw. She seems to have seen an ugly duckling turned into a swan though ChengJia's looked earlier isn't really bad. It's just that her outfit earlier made her look innocent like that of a teenager.

Outside, the three people cannot contain their excitement after the make-up artist said with a satisfied smile that ChengJia is ready.

Director Min instruct her to bring ChengJia on the back stage which she complied.

"Ms. Jia, once you hear someone call your name, you must come out on stage and just portray whatever it is you think that is suited with the theme. Okay?"

ChengJia just nodded and took a deep breath.

"Sister Xue, may I just ask, if I will be able to pull-off the character that they wanted, what will I get myself into?"

"Oh! You poor thing," make-up artist Xue said patting ChengJia's hand. "If you get to be chosen as the amba.s.sadress, you will be able to earn a lot of money and you will be famous."

"I don't want to be famous but I definitely want to earn a lot of money."

"Then you should just do this once and earn a lot," Make-up artist Xue said patting her hand twice.

"Ms. Cheng Jia," the Director's voice echoed.

"That's you. Go on! Fighting!"

ChengJia took a deep breath first before she came out from the back stage. She walked regally as if she is already used to this kind of thing. She then stopped in the center and showed her innocent smile.

ZhiYong nodded while the two, Director and Madam Lin mumbled things like 'Awe! She's the sweetest thing' and 'How come she's so cute?'

"ChengJia I agree you really looked cute and your innocence stands out, how about you show us something that would convince us of the other side of your innocence?" ZhiYong said to ChengJia which is only answered with several innocent blinks.

'Let's see what you got.'

"Can I borrow one of the hottest man in the set to just sit there beside the piano?"

"Do you mean to say, me?" ZhiYong asked.

'Whoah! Such a confident soul! Doesn't mean just because he has good looks, he can boast!' ChengJia thought to herself.

Jia shook her head, "I mean to say that man in his blue s.h.i.+rt with '#1 Hunk' on his s.h.i.+rt."

ZhiYong gritted his teeth as the handsome man that ChengJia pertains to came forward and sat on the chair with her.

All three don't have any idea what use could the man be.

She started hitting keys one after the other as if trying to familiarize the piano.

"Are you trying to familiarize each key?" the man beside her asked.

She looked at his eyes intently like that of a woman who has seen the person she dearly love secretly. Then she giggled sweetly, shaking her head, looked down and started to hit keys again. She intentionally brushed her arms on the man's arms which caught the man's attention more.

"Wh-what are you trying to do?"

She started playing beautifully with her expert hands. .h.i.tting each tiles effortlessly. She then slowly turned her head to him grinning mischievously with her darkened expression as if saying 'I-Want-You-Now' before batting her lashes and looked down again, biting her lower lip seductively and brushed her arms on him again which sends s.h.i.+vers to his spine.

The man's mouth gaped open as she angled her head exposing her neck.

"I want those eyes to see only me... I want those looks to make me go crazy... But if you'll continue to gaze at me, I might just want to offer you... All... Of... Me..."

"What..." the man didn't finish what he would want to ask as ChengJia put one of her fingers on the man's lips to silence him, while still playing the piano continuously.

She smiled and blushed, "Please don't open that mouth of yours to speak... Or just let me imagine that the words you want to say is... 'Kiss Me'"

ChengJia removed her finger leaving the poor man hypnotized by her seductive beauty. She continued to play but the tone that seems random earlier s.h.i.+fted to 'I'll Make Love To You'.

"Oh my G! She is a seductress!" Director Min snapped while Madam Lin was stapled in her seat, astounded with the sudden change of ChengJia. ZhiYong on the other hand clenched his fist in annoyance.

The man yearn for ChengJia to give him just another glance but she didn't. He couldn't contain his excitement anymore like a teenager who couldn't get enough after having just tasted his first meal. He stood up grab the back of ChengJia's head and lean forward, angling to kiss her...

Then the sound of a piano's keyboard echoed the set as the man's body landed on it when ChengJia's arm was pulled by President w.a.n.g.

ZhiYong coughed and said, "Okay! You proved your worth."

ChengJia on his side blinked while looking at him before she gave him a toothy grin.

As if the man was awakened after he saw ZhiYong pulled ChengJia in his side in a protective way, he composed himself and apologized.

"No, I am the one who is sorry," ChengJia apologized which made ZhiYong glare at her.

The man scratched his head and slightly blushed.

"Why are you apologizing when he was about to take advantage of you?" ZhiYong asked Jia without taking his eyes from the man.

Poor man, he doesn't even have the chance to kiss the hypnotizing ChengJia and here he is cornered by the mighty President w.a.n.g ZhiYong.

"We-well I used him," ChengJia answered, "Mr. handsome in a blue s.h.i.+rt, thank you for your time, you can go back to what you are supposed to do now." she added turning to the poor man.

The man instantly leave ChengJia and ZhiYong still fazed with how he seemed hypnotized by ChengJia's actions.

ChengJia then turned to ZhiYong who have been holding her arms and waist as if not letting anybody come near her.

She coughed, "This is really an awkward position," she said avoiding meeting his gaze.

ZhiYong let go of her slowly but still composed like it is a natural act for him.

"So Mister, will I get to earn a lot of money?" she queried with hopeful eyes.

ZhiYong looked away, "You're fine for me so if the Director said yes, I don't have a problem with it."

When he looked down at ChengJia, she is nowhere to be found as she half-run to the director to pester him with questions. Madam Lin just looked at ZhiYong sympathetically thinking that the guy must have found his wife in ChengJia's personality.
