Chat Group For Magicians 123 The Man-Crab Core And The Mermaid Orb

After the events that transpired earlier in the lobby, Moonlight and Leto departed to go to Moonlight's father's grave. As for the rest of us, we were sent to our respective rooms. The residential area of the house is now the 5th, 6th, and 7th floor of the building. My room is on the 5th floor and I did except that my shabby looking room in the past is now refurbished with gla.s.s windows, aquarium walls, and a sole jacuzzi -hot spring bath all on my own. This is usually available in mansions. How did they spend money in this building so easily? I suspect it is millions or billions just to make a single floor of this building.

Does that mean that my life's poor lifestyle has finally turned to a new page? As I sat down on the bed, I realized that the bed I am used to lay down every day is no longer the same bed I am sitting today. It's far more squishy and soft to lay down that anyone would be tempted to take a nap in here.

Itazura and Hikari appeared and started playing around the sofa. I smiled at the sight of them playing around. The place is still s.p.a.cious and from my guess, the designer left a lot of s.p.a.ces in the area so that you can add another furniture you wanted to in a way that will suit your preferences.

I left Itazura and Hikari playing around since there is nothing that would go down broken in the area in case it will fall. I approached my desk and saw my old PC and my phone left out. When I turn on the phone, it has a 100% bar which means that the phone has been daily recharged by someone which is I am really grateful for the help they have given to us.

It's been so long since I have opened the chat group. I should check if there are any good job vacancies or any good topics they are discussing. On the General tab, I saw a recent topic concerning my house. It was Rena's post.

No one seems to know that the house that seemed to be dilapidated at first is the first look of this building. Well, they don't even know it, so what is the point of arguing?

I close the general tab and looked at the spell's area but there seems to be no new posted spell at the moment and most of the spells there is a bit in need of higher levels which is impossible for me at the moment. After hovering here and there, I closed the group chat app. There is nothing to check in there for now but it is going to be worthy of checking in a later date.

I pull out the orb of the mermaid that I have managed to get in the forest of the ruins. I moved to the desk and pulled out one of the drawers and find the core of the crab man that Volta and I have met last time.

The core is still half-used after I barely have the time to use it. Now that I am a bit free, should I use them together this time?

According to Volta, the cores are easily absorbed by a magician by just putting your mana on the core and imagine to absorb its contents. Usually, those items are only useful in the early stages. Once the later stages are achieved, using them won't give any benefits anymore.

The orb, on the other hand, seems a bit different. According to the seed, the orb is something similar to the core yet different. I have no idea what the seed said because it said that I have to figure it out on my own.

Since I have no idea about cores, I decided to just use similar usage on the core to the orb. Firstly, I absorbed the remaining contents if the cores. With the help of this, my mana would be much stronger and much purer which would allow me to push my limits and increase my rank. The only thing is that the core did not really help me much. In just a few seconds, the core we're reduced to dust.

I am suddenly disappointed. I thought it would help me attain the Rank 3: Conjurer by consuming the remains. Looks like I am wrong. Now that the core is gone, my focus s.h.i.+fted to the orb. The orb seems to be similar to a crystal ball, only a bit relatively smaller. It looks similar to the core but it has a feel that gives a different vibe from the latter one.

Since I have no idea what to do with it, I tried injecting a bit of my mana on the orb and tried to absorb its contents. The second thing I did that, a cold surge of energy seems to get sucked into my body. One thing is certain when my body felt that.

Danger!

Without further hesitation, I stopped the absorption which forcefully cut the link of my body and the orb. That was close. I look at my hands and saw some forming icicles on them. If I continue absorbing the content of the orb, I would end up becoming a statue made of ice.

The mana is just too pure to consume directly. Looks like I have to find some sort of catalyst to absorb the content without getting frozen to death by the orb. For now, this...o...b..will just stay put for now, I guess.
