The next morning Mai moved closer to the warmth radiating off of Han Bings body. They had booth slept peacefully wrapped in each other's arms.

"Good morning Mai" Han Bing called out with a yawn. His eyes lazily closed trying to get the last remaining moment of sleep.

"Good morning, husband" Mai said cheerfully. The b.u.t.terflies that she had gotten last night when she had first heard him call her wife had not diminished, they had grown. It was as if she was a child getting her favorite gift again from her childhood but 10 times stronger.

"My G.o.d, if I thought that your smile already lit up a room I don't even know what it is doing now" Han Bing whispered with a teasing tug of his arms around Mai.

"Shhh, I am happy! Do you think that we could have a ceremony?" Mai asked in excitement. It had always been her dream to have a small wedding surrounded by only the people that she loved wearing a sleek and elegant gown. She knew that there was no way that she was going to get close to the same traditions here but a girl can always dream.

"A ceremony, like a real one Mai?" Han bing asked before proceeding to say "definitely not, that would need us to make an inquiry with the Emperor for his approval and I wouldn't want him to know a thing about our relations.h.i.+p if he doesn't already."

Mai watched as Han Bings face fell with his current thoughts. It angered Mai that they were still stuck with that man hanging around in the background.

"No not a real one, just me, you, the servant, the Zheng family" Mai paused to think about the best way to have a ceremony for just them "In the garden, we can decorate it and say vows to each other" Mai said nodding her head at her own idea.

"Is that what you want?" Han Bing asked. In this age most n.o.bles did not wed for romance but to further there family connections. Ceremonies tend to be a outward appearance where they could show off there wealth and get gifts from others of there station.

"Yes! Oh Han Bing I love you" Mai said still cradled deep within Han Bings arms. She could feel the rapid beating of his heart and the quickening pace of his breath on her shoulder. "What is wrong?" Mai asked sensing that something was wrong with his reaction.

"You really want to be tied to me Mia?" Han Bing asked eyes s.h.i.+nning with a vulnerability that surprised Mai.

"Why would I not want to be tied to you" Mai said with a hmph "besides you haven't thought of everything. What if I am already tied to you?"

Han Bings eyes narrowed as he attempted to think about what Mai meant.

"Stop thinking so hard" Mai said before taking Han Bings hand and placing it atop her belly trying to give him a hint.

Han Bing's eyes instantly glowed with knowledge as he gently rubbed his thumb against her belly. "Are you … are you saying that you are" Han Bing could barely get the words out of his mouth.

"It is to early to tell, but what do you think would happen dear husband? I could already be carrying your child, should we really be frightened about a small little ceremony?" Mai asked softly she didn't want to scare Han Bing and she figured that he had never thought about a child until this moment. Mia had to slightly twist more to see the emotions that were covering Han Bings face.

Han Bing stuttered as two emotions were covering his face. One was love whereas, the other was fear. He was battling with both before fear won over.

"I never… I am so sorry Mai" Han Bing said

Mai cut off Han Bing with a finger over his lips. She hated to see the fear on his face, she knew it had nothing to do with her and everything to do about what other people would do to them. However, she could help but smile at him.

"Han Bing, you know that I would do it all over again, the exact same way right? Okay not exactly the same but everything with you I would do it again and again if I was given a option." Mai said attempted to bring a smile on Han Bings face.

Han Bings arms clutched around her in a death grip as if he was afraid that she would disappear from his life. Deep down Mai knew that there was no way she could ever leave this man, she would always find a way to him if they got separated.

"As I said Mai, a dream in this life of nightmares. If you ever decide that I am no longer worthy of you just run me through with a sword because there is nothing that could keep me apart from you. If you wish to leave me I don't think I could willing let you go" Han Bing said with a straight face.

Mai realized that no part of him was kidding and that was how he really felt about her. Mai's face burned as a deep flush over took her cheeks.

"That is the most romantic thing anyone has every said to me" Mai whispered resting her head against Han Bings shoulder fully enjoying the moment.

"My love, if that is the most romantic thing you have heard it appears that I need to try harder" Han Bing said with a grin on his face. He ran his hand through Mai's hair kissing the top of her head from behind.

"I want a daughter that is just as kind, loving, and adorable as you wife" Han Bing said after a few moments of silence.

"No you don't. She will be a trouble maker and have you twisted around her middle finger I'd much prefer a boy! Besides she will probably think that I am the mean parent and you will be the fun one. Which is definitely not fair!" Mai said stuck in her rant of not wanting a girl.

All Han Bing could do was laugh at her before turning her around to better face him.

"I would be happy with a daughter or a son, as long as they take after there mothers temperament" Han Bing said cutting off Mai's rant before it got to long.

Han Bing leaned in close and kissed Mai hungrily on the lips.
