When they woke up in the morning, Feng Xinying looked fresh as a flower. In the night she had decided that she would tell Xie Yuansheng about her pregnancy after the next psychiatric session. She wanted to consult the doctor what would be its repercussions if she told him and how should she tell him. 

It had been a week when Shu Jing Min was released from the hospital. As soon as he was released, Jiao Long had brought him to their country farmhouse where he stayed hidden. It was because Ah Jun had been hunting for him. He couldn't harm him in the hospital because that was a very busy place so he waited for him to be discharged. However, as soon as he was discharged, he disappeared along with the family. So Ah Jun had instructed his men to find him and kill him the moment he was found because he had conned him.

Shu Jing Ming was extremely afraid of his current situation. His bank balance had dwindled, the investors were troubling him and above all that Ah Jun was hunting for him. He had hoped that with Shu Ning's marriage, things would improve instead everything fell into never ending abyss. His health had deteriorated a lot. Jiao Long and his other kids were there in the country farmhouse with him taking his care while Feng Xinying and Xie Shengjun, who were the masterminds of his condition were having fun in the free air. 

He had started drinking a lot. It was one of those days when his man contacted him. Jing Min picked the phone in one ring hoping for some good news. "What took you so long?" he asked. 

"Master, I have found shocking information about Xie Yuansheng," said his man excitedly. "You will have to give me a lot of money for this information!" 

"Tell me about it or I will give you death," said Shu Jing Min as he gritted his teeth. 

The man became sullen and then in a sad voice said, "Xie Yuansheng was shot at."

Jing Min became angry and said, "I know that you fool!" After all he was the one who had ordered his shooting. 

"But do you know that Xie Yuansheng has lost his memories? He has amnesia now," replied his man with a serious tone.

For a moment Shu Jing Min became quiet. His mind became numb. "Amnesia?" he said as though he was peaking that word for the first time. "Xie Yuansheng has amnesia?" 

"Yes boss! I have somehow managed to get his records from the hospital after bribing the people over there. You have to compensate me for that."

"Send me his report now. Click a picture and send it on my phone," said Shu Jing Min as he disconnected the call. His hands were shaky and sweat beads appeared on his forehead. How could he miss this information? If Xie Yuansheng was having amnesia, he must have forgotten everything. Then how come he was still with Feng Xinying? Did he remember her? 

Suddenly there was another ring on his phone. "Boss, why did you cut the call?" 

Shu Jing was agitated, "Send me the report now. Why have you called?"

"Boss, there is another information I want to share," he replied.

Shu Jing Min feeling as though he was sitting on an unlocked treasure."What is it?" he asked 

"But boss after I give you this information, you must award me heavily," chuckled the man on the other side. 

"You b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" shouted Jing Min, "Tell it to me now!" His anxiety had peaked. 

The man on the other side of the phone flinched and blurted, "Feng Xinying is pregnant." 

"What?" shouted Shu Jing Min. 

"Feng Xinying is pregnant," he repeated.  

Shu Jing Min's mind froze with shock. "How do you know?" he asked after a short pause. 

"She had been visiting the hospital a lot in the past few days and so I just followed her. She has been going to the gynecologist and her records show that she is pregnant," came the prompt reply as though he was looking for a pat for his findings. 

So much had happened and Shu Jing wasn't even aware of it. What was his wife doing all this while? Without speaking a word, he disconnected the call and called Jiao Long. 

The man on the other side was crestfallen. He deserved appraise and more money but all he got was shouting from his boss. 

When Jiao Long entered the room, she noticed that Shu Jing Min's face had become pale. She ran to him thinking that his blood pressure had shot up and held him by his hand, "Jing Min, are you okay?" she asked nervously. 

He looked at her and slapped her hand away. Suddenly, he was bursting with fury. He yelled at her, "You stupid woman, do you know that Feng Xinying is pregnant?" 

Jiao long was stunned in silence. She shook her head slowly. "N- no…" she replied. 

"What have you been doing with her when you went to her in the hospital? You had been giving her those rice cakes. I thought they were laced with poison. If she had eaten them, how come she is still pregnant?" he lambasted.

Jiao Long didn't know what to answer. 

"Also, do you know that Xie Yuansheng has lost his memories?"

This time Jiao Long was so shocked that she held the chair in front of her to balance herself. "What are you saying Jing Min?" A cold s.h.i.+ver ran down her spine. How could she miss all that? Was Feng Xinying such a master of con that none of this information was revealed? 

Suddenly they both realized that Feng Xinying had cruelly played them. Shu Jing Min sat on the sofa in front of her with his head in his hands. After a while of stunned silence, he looked at her and said, "If Xie Yuansheng has lost his memories, it means that he doesn't remember who Feng Xinying is or knows anything about her pregnancy." 

"How can you deduce that?" asked Jiao Long. "It is possible that she has told him everything." 

"And take the risk of making him mentally sick with so many revelations?" said Jing Min. 

Jiao Long looked at him suspiciously. "I highly doubt that Jing Min," she replied. 

"I don't care what you doubt, Jiao Long. You have been utterly useless all this while," he scolded her. 

She looked dejected with the way he spoke to her. 

"Now listen to me very carefully."
