Knowing her alcohol tolerance, Feng Xinying was scared to drink wine. She looked at Yao Yi who was looking at her with a glint in her eyes, encouraging her to have drink. Feng Xinying bit her lower lip and then took the gla.s.s from Yao Yi. She sipped a little and then held the gla.s.s just for the show. Xin Yuansheng watched her with interest. Softly he asked her, "Do you remember what happened last time when you were drunk?"

Feng Xinying became red instantly. Yao Yi saw that and said, "Feng Xinying, why are you blus.h.i.+ng? Is Xin Yuansheng teasing you?" All others standing nearby laughed.

Lim Fei Yen was extremely jealous. The close proximity between Feng Xinying and Xin Yuansheng was like the worst thing she had seen in days. She saw that even though she was almost two gla.s.ses down, Feng Xinying didn't have another sip from her gla.s.s. Once again she mocked at Feng Xinying in front of others. "It seems you can't hold your alcohol."

Feng Xinying rolled her eyes. "When will this pest go away?" she thought and had a sip from her gla.s.s in irritation.

Lim Chuen was standing there. He wanted his daughter to be as acerbic as possible with Feng Xiying. But he scolded her in front of Xin Yuansheng, "Lim Fei Yen, where are your manners? Well cultured girls don't speak like that." Then he looked at Feng Xinying and said, "Don't mind her."

Fen Xinying nodded. Then Lim Chuen asked Xin Yuansheng to accompany him to meet the owner of the largest real estate group in the country who was a good friend of Yao Yi.

Lim Fei Yen took the opportunity. "You see when you run in upper society like ours, drinking alcohol is something that is natural. Otherwise you look so middle-cla.s.s. Feng Xinying became angry and replied, "Who said I can't drink?"

"Really?" laughed Lim Fei Yen. "If that is the case, let's have a bet as to who holds their drink more."

"Okay!" replied Feng Xinying being as feisty as ever. How could she back down on a challenge like that?

Both of them went to the table nearby. A few more people joined just to see two girls challenging each other as to who can drink more. The waiter was called and five gla.s.ses of wine were kept in front of each of them.

To start the challenge, Lim Fei Yen picked a gla.s.s and drained it. Feng Xinying also picked one and drank. Then the second gla.s.s was picked, and then the third. By the time, Lim Fei Yen picked her fourth gla.s.s, she was already feeling dizzy. She had forgotten that she had had two gla.s.ses of wine before the bet started. She looked at Feng Xinying who was holding up pretty well. So Lim Fei Yen had the fourth gla.s.s just to show off, however, she pa.s.sed out instantly after that. She slumped on the floor as all others around her started laughing. They clapped for Feng Xiying who had also gulped the fourth gla.s.s but was sitting on the chair quietly looking blankly in front. They started to leave smiling and laughing. All of a sudden they heard her shouting loudly, "Shenguu!"

Xin Yuansheng face turned sharply in the direction of the voice. His mouth fell at what he saw there. Lim Fei Yen was lying on the ground while Feng Xinying was standing next to her. Sh was barely able to hold herself but she stood there with one foot atop Lim Fei Yen and one of the ground. Both her hands were in the air. She shouted again, "Shengu! I have won!"

"See, I have defeated our enemy! Now she will not come to you," said Feng Xinying in a very proud way.

Xin Yuansheng rushed to her before she would make any more show. Lim Chuen was extremely embarra.s.sed and asked his men to pick Lim Fei Yen from there. He had just told her in the crowd how to be cultured.

When Feng Xiying saw Xin Yuansheng coming towards her, she said, "Shengu! Come here fast." She threw her arms in front for him to hold her and was about to fall when he caught her.

He chided her, "Why did you drink so much Yingying? Don't you know she was just trapping you to make you look like a fool?"

"Me? A fool? Shengu, she is a fool. She pa.s.sed out but I am victorious!" she shouted in his ears.

Xin Yuansheng pursed his lips and held her in his arms to carry her outdoors. Yao Yi was nowhere to be seen. But Feng Xinying started crying like a baby. "Shengu, I can't walk. I have no feet."

Xin Yuansheng picked her in his arms in one scoop and carried her outside. When Xin Yuansheng picked her, she was all smiles. She stroked his hair to the extent that they were ruffled badly.

As soon as they reached the car, the driver opened the back door shaking his head. Xin Yuansheng threw her inside and went to sit next to her. Once again he had to hold her tight in his arms so that she doesn't roll around. He asked the driver to buy ice cream as soon as possible and go home.
