As the time pa.s.sed by, they don't know for how long they snuggled in each other's arms. For Xiu Mei, she keeps on rubbing her face over his chest now and then to get her itchy bandage off, thinking this way she can innocently claim that the bandage came off on its own.

"Chipmunk, be good! I know what you are trying to do"

Hearing his stern voice Xiu Mei was jolted for a second and stopped snuggling anymore. She shook her head vehemently. "Nothing…. I was only snuggling. But if you don't like it I'll NEVER DO IT AGAIN"

Feng Jianyu "…." 'What the h.e.l.l! Which man doesn't like to cuddle up with his woman? How did it backfire on me? She was obviously trying to take off her bandages…. Argh… Mei, sometimes you are too smart for your own good.'

Hiding her devilish smile and acting innocent she tried to roll down from Jianyu's body, but instead, he turned over to lie on top of her once again. Supporting his body weight with his right elbow he looked at her devilishly.

"Really? Snuggling, huh? Do you think I'm a fool? I cannot see through your plan? Wait, I'll show you what Feng Jianyu is!" He started tickling her on her waist and stomach and Xiu Mei cannot help but shout, laugh, giggle and rolls over the bed to make him stop.

"Stop! Stop! Stop! Please! Ahh…Sorry…. Fine, I admit defeat."

"Will, you ever stop snuggling against me?"

"Only if you ever want me to st...."

"Huhhhh??" His stern voice roared which made her change the answer, "No… I will snuggle against you daily. Happy?"

Getting the desired answer he pecked her on each cheek, "Very happy, love… From tomorrow, two hours of snuggle daily. Later I'll increase the duration to four hours." He declared as he held on to her shoulders to pull her up.

Xiu Mei "…." 'why four? why not spend the entire life with me on bed?' she humoured but did not dare to voice out her thoughts, what if he likes the idea!!

"Get up now. I'll help you brush your teeth and bath" Holding her in his arms he took her inside the bathroom and makes her sit over the bathroom counter.

Xiu Mei "...." 'Help to bath!!?? How can he say it so calmly! Did he forgot our physical structure is different!? I'am a woman!' Swaying her legs in the air she felt shy to talk to him about the issue.

"Brus.h.i.+ng teeth is fine, but….."

"But what?" While setting the temperature of the bathtub, he asked.

When Xiu Mei heard the sound of rus.h.i.+ng water in the bathtub, her face turned crimson red. "Umm… C-Can you please call Aunt Mary to help me?"

He turned to look at the shy girl sitting on the counter, "Why? What Aunt Mary can do that I can't?"

"Oh please! There is a difference!"

"Explain"

"Feng Jianyu, Aunt Mary is a woman, so am I. How can a man help me to bath?"

"Mei, what kind of logic is this? I'm not just any man but the one with whom you are in a relations.h.i.+p with. If I won't take care of you than who would? It's my duty, my right, my responsibility and everything." He went to her and patted her head. "And trust me, I won't do anything else but just help you with the bath. Don't feel uncomfortable in my presence!"

"No!"

"Mei…"

"Just listen to me…."

"d.a.m.n… I want to use that also" she said shyly, pointing her finger in the direction where the toilet was installed. "Please Send Aunt Mary…. Fast!"

He carried her again in his arms and makes her stand against the toilet. "Use it. I'm not watching"

"No!"

"Holding it in for too long is bad, anyhow choice is yours."

"Stubborn!"

"Less than you!"

"Step outside the room!"

"No!"

"Feng Jianyu!?"

"Mei, no matter what the situation is, I'm not leaving you alone for even a single second. At least not untill your eyes are bandaged. And as far as Aunt Mary is concerned, I challenge no one can take care of you better than me. So stop being stubborn and behave like a good girl. I'M NOT WATCHING" Unknowingly his voice raised as he scolded her like an elder.

She sulked at how stubborn this monster is behaving, "Fine! But step outside the bathroom, close your eyes and cover your ears. No peeking and no eavesdropping"

Feng Jianyu exhaled loudly and stepped outside the bathroom. But was standing at the door with his back facing her, he waited patiently and re-entered only after confirming it with her.

After brus.h.i.+ng when the time came to take bath, their argument started again as she refused to buzz from her original stance. No matter how Jianyu tried to convince her, but she stubbornly didn't allow him to help her. After heavy discussion, they came to a solution that instead of the bathtub she will use the shower and Jianyu will stand outside the shower cubicle with his eyes closed and hands her clothes one by one when asked.

Feeling nervous she hastily took bath and wear clothes selected by Jianyu. She felt so shy while wearing the lingerie that he selected from her wardrobe and gave it to her.

After she's done bathing, he carried her back to the bedroom in arms...

"This is so embarra.s.sing! How can I be so dependable on you" She complained hiding her face in his chest. "I don't want to be a burden on someone"

"I like it when you rely on me. It makes me feel happy that at least I'm capable of doing something for my woman." He answered coolly. "And plus, you can never be a burden for me. I want to walk along with you, instead of you trying to fight against everything on your own."

"So you don't like my maverick personality!" She concluded and He shook his head and placed her down in front of the big mirror, to help her apply skin care products and comb her hair.

"Your maverick personality is what makes you different from others. I just want to be the inseparable part of your life. With whom you can share everything, your worries, your secrets, your decisions, your life, and your pain." Slowly combing her hair he answered her.

Xiu Mei silently repeated his words in her mind again and again. Taking a deep breath she sighed, "I know where you are pointing at. You are upset that I never told you about my eye transplant surgery. You are upset that yesterday I refused to divulge the name of the hospital. You are upset that I'm not including you in my plans. Right?" Fidgeting with her fingers she concluded by sensing the sternness of his voice.

He didn't give her any reply but silently kneeled down in front of her and asked her about skin care products. "There are many bottles kept on the table, looking all similar to me. Tell me which product is supposed to be applied first and in what quant.i.ty? I'll help you…"

Xiu Mei "...."

She is confused by this sudden change of topic.
