Hearing Feng Jin she promptly took out her laptop to check the distance Feng Jianyu was supposed to cover in order to come under the range. Although risky, his strategy was indeed correct and the last available option in this situation.

If 'Jieshu' cannot move from its position then move the console to bring it under range. She saw he was supposed to cover the distance of 260m to catch up to 'Jieshu'. But only the last remaining box was left and the metal ball was hidden right behind it.

Slowly the distance started reducing but Xiu Mei heartbeat was rising with every pa.s.sing second. She was not worried about anything but her husband. He was painstakingly giving his hundred percent in the success of this mission. With trembling hands, she picked Jianyu's console and connected it with Rong Xiang's Jieshu.

Now for that single Jieshu they have two consoles, one with Feng Jianyu and another one with Xiu Mei. The distance reduced from 260…. 220…. 180….. 120….. 60….. STOPPED!

By now, everyone was done with their consoles and looking carefully at Xiu Mei's laptop. Their breath hitched when the distance stopped at 60 metre.

"What happened? Why it's not moving beyond 60 metre?"

"S*it! They have lifted up the final box…."

'Jianyu… please be safe!' Xiu Mei didn't pay attention to whatever everyone was saying. Her eyes were glued to the number '60' on screen.

Lu Xion saw Xiu Mei's sad face, her tight jaw, and drooping mouth. He itched to go forward and caress her back to console her, but with what right? Clenching his fists tightly he closed his eyes for a second before opening them sharply. His gaze turned destructive as his hands reached for the gun, ready to jump on the field to find Feng Jianyu.

"Hey, it's moving!" Before Lu Xion could take a step Xin shrieked loudly.

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ frowned, "But why is it moving so fast? This speed is practically inhuman…." w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ has not even completed his sentence when the console came within the range. Xiu Mei instantly pulled back the Jieshu from the trolly and rolled it behind another box, out of the range of enemies.

She was still looking for a computer to attach it when Lu Xion saw Feng Jin and w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ sharing glance. There was obvious tension on their face hinting Lu Xion that something was not right on Feng Jianyu's side.

He got up to jump out of the truck and patted on w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s shoulder to hint him to wait here with everyone else. On getting a thumbs up from w.a.n.g s.h.i.+, Lu Xion and Feng Jin got down from the truck to look for Feng Jianyu.

They thought Xiu Mei didn't notice anything being busy in her laptop. But she realized something was off when the last 60 meters was covered at an inhuman speed. Unbeknownst to them, she calculated the speed, it was 41m/s. This equals to the speed of throwing a ball, probably Jianyu got into some trouble and threw the console in the air to bring it into the range.

Rubbing her sweaty palm on the dress she got back to work silently. If this failed, Jianyu's efforts would waste too. Moreover, she was aware that Lu Xion and Feng Jin are no ordinary people, they will definitely return back with Jianyu.

As expected, after 30 minutes they saw all three walking towards the truck from a distance.

"Jianyu!" Xiu Mei heaved a sigh of relief on finding him safe and sound.

Afraid she will jump off from the truck to walk up to him he smiled and gave a thumbs up. "I'm fine, love. Relax" On reaching the truck he said.

Xiu Mei checked him from top to bottom and frowned when she some blood on his shoulder. "You are wounded! Dr. w.a.n.g s.h.i.+…." She then yelled at the driver, "We need to get back to the base ASAP"

Back to the base 

 "Dr. w.a.n.g can't you be a little sensitive. He is your brother dammit! I'll complaint against you in the human rights council"

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ "…."

In the room, w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ was dressing Feng Jianyu's wound and Xiu Mei was sitting beside him, holding his large palm in between her short ones while the rest were standing in the corner.

They don't know whether to laugh or cry over Xiu Mei's antics. She was practically yelling at w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s for every little thing.

Feng Jianyu tripped while trying to avoid an animal trap and his shoulder wound reopened. However, he was aware of Xiu Mei's parallel control over all the devices, so he threw the console in the air to cover the remaining distance.

"Urgh…" Xiu Mei winced when she saw the tall needle in w.a.n.g s.h.i.+'s hand "Dr. w.a.n.g, don't you have a shorter needle? It will hurt him a lot"

w.a.n.g s.h.i.+ laughed dryly, "Relax Mei, I know Jianyu is scared of injection just like you. I promise it will be quick and gentle"

"…" Xiu Mei grumbled internally. Was it necessary to reveal it in front of everyone?"

Feng Jianyu "…."

"No one will doubt on your degree if you don't reveal this" Jianyu said gritting his teeth, "And who said I'm afraid of this tiny injection? Don't spout nonsense. It's only Mei who is scared of the needle, I'm not!"

Xiu Mei "…."'Really? If this is true then the earth is not round but cuboid'

"Dr. w.a.n.g I take back my words and apologize to you" She glared at Jianyu severely and jerked his hands away from her palms before snapping, "Do whatever you want to do with him. Take out the biggest needle you have and dart it wherever you want. I DON'T CARE"

Feng Jianyu felt confused by her sudden behavior. What did he say wrong? However his instinct told him to shut his mouth, otherwise, consequences would be grave.

She tried to get up using support. Lu Xion rushed to her side to help her while Jianyu extended his hand too.
