"Everyone," director Zhang spoke over the microphone. "With this last scene, we have completed the first half of the movie. Last night, I watched the filmed scenes and I want to say, I am very much impressed with them and credit goes to my hard-working cast and crew members."

Everyone cheered when they heard director Zhang.

"I am giving everyone a break of a week. Till then enjoy your time. After returning, we will start the filming of scenes where Ruyi will learn art of war with Emperor Jun."

After the announcement, everyone was treated with lunch. After lunch, Director Zhang called Xin Mei and Su Zixin to his office.

"Xin Mei, Su Zixin, this was the end of the easy part of the movie. We will start the shoot of crucial parts, the war sequence. In the upcoming scenes, you both will need to play an important role."

Both nodded while Director Zhang navigated them through his plans. About the upcoming scenes and the expectations from Xin Mei and Su Zixin.

"Xin Mei, here is the pay for the second instalment." Director Zhang gave Xin Mei a cheque. "Chen Bai, I don't know why but Mr Su has denied your payment."

Su Zixin cursed under his breath. He didn't think his brother would not pay him for the movie, for real.

"I understand director; I will talk with Mr Su about the same."

"Ok, that is it for today. I will meet you tomorrow for dress rehearsals." Director Zhang stood up from the chair and left his office.

Xin Mei nudged Su Zixin and looked at him with raised brows, "Why didn't you receive your payment?"

"Like you don't know," Su Zixin groaned. "He cut my pay as a punishment for being your Romeo. Now, I don't even have money to get ready for tomorrow. Don't know how I am going to get ready."

He exhaled noisily and stood up from his seat when the very next second, he was stopped by Xin Mei.

"Su Zixin, I will be your partner for the award show." Xin Mei informed him. Su Zixin turned and looked at her with a raised brow.

"Will you now? Do you think I am still free? Don't you know there is a line of girls who want to become my walk-in partner of the show?"

"Oh, so you already got a partner." Xin Mei sighed sadly. "Don't worry, I will find someone to walk with. Otherwise, I can always walk alone."

"Don't be so sad Xin Mei." Su Zixin knocked on her head. "I was aware that you will change your mind. That's why I hadn't chosen anyone else. Now, you are my partner. Tomorrow, I will pick you up at seven."

"Ok," Xin Mei grinned. "Thank you. I am sure this year; your partner will be a highlight of the year."

"Stop self-praising yourself." Su Zixin chuckled. "You know my standards. So, get ready accordingly."

"Don't worry," Xin Mei nodded her head.

In Su corporation

Su Yuchen was working on a presentation which he was to give in country C when Huang Chu entered in his office.

"Boss, Director Zhang is here. He wants to update you on the program of Revenge."

"Let him in." Su Yuchen told while finalizing the presentation.

Director Zhang entered the office and took his seat opposite to Su Yuchen. He didn't make any unnecessary noises so as to not disturb Su Yuchen.

Su Yuchen finalized the presentation. He placed his laptop aside and looked at Director Zhang.

"So, tell me about the progress of Revenge. Can I expect that it is progressing at a fast pace?"

"Yes, Mr Su. Today, we have completed the shoot of first half of the film. We have already shot the scenes of...…"

Director Zhang told Su Yuchen about the scenes from the script which had been already shot.

"Mr Su, Ruyi and Chunhua have given birth to their babies. Now we will start to shoot the war scenes for the second half of the movie."

Su Yuchen nodded his head. He was feeling satisfied.

"Mr Su, I have a suggestion to make."

"Go on director Zhang." Su Yuchen said with a poker face.

"Mr Su, I was planning to increase the scenes in between Xin Mei and Chen Bai. We can add the scenes were Xin Mei and Chen Bai practiced together. We can also add some intimate scenes between them. They are performing very well. Their pa.s.sion is burning the set due to their chemistry…."

Director Zhang was praising the acting skills of Xin Mei and Chen Bai. He was completely unaware of the effect his praises were having on Su Yuchen. He clutched his fists and again felt jealous of his brother.

"Director Zhang, we don't need to increase the scenes of Xin Mei and Chen Bai. You should follow the script itself."

"But Mr Su," director Zhang sighed and the same moment Su Zixin barged into the cabin of Su Yuchen.

"Bro…. Mr Su." He was about to call brother but when he saw director Zhang, he quickly corrected himself. "Director Zhang, you are also here. I came here to meet Mr Su about my payment."

Su Zixin nodded to Director Zhang and took his seat beside him. Director Zhang nodded to him before again looking at Su Yuchen.

"Mr Su, the addition of their scenes will give a boost to this movie and the career of Xin Mei. And I must confess I am not satisfied with our other female lead, Zhou Mingyu. I am planning to cut off her scenes and give the same screen time to Xin Mei and Chen Bai."

Ears of Su Zixin perked up when he heard the mention of his name with Xin Mei.

"What are you talking with him, director?" he asked and director Zhang told him about his plan.

"I still do not agree with it. Chen Bai and Xin Mei already have a lot of scenes together. We should not increase them."

Su Zixin knew the reason his brother was denying the addition of scenes. He could only shake his head in dejection.

"Mr Su, I think instead of denying straightforwardly, you should think about it. I also think we can add some more scenes in between Ruyi and Emperor Jun."

Director Zhang smiled when Su Zixin supported him. "Yes, yes Mr Su. You can take your time before the decision. I have asked the writer to write some more scenes. You can have a look at them later."

Director pa.s.sed him the file with newly written scenes.

He then informed Su Yuchen about his idea of outfits for Xin Mei in the practice scene which was again denied by Su Yuchen because the dress only contained a tight blouse and pants, leaving her stomach completely exposed.

"Director Zhang, I don't think we should make our cast wear such exposing outfits."

"But…." director tried to say something but he was dismissed.

Director Zhang could only sigh and show Su Yuchen other dresses for his opinion. Once done, he left the cabin with a heavy heart.

'Why is Mr Su so strict out of the blue and especially regarding Xin Mei?'
