Promotion of Revenge was going on at a very large level. Every song of the movie was released at a large level after creating curiosity among the citizens.

One day, Xin Mei was out with her team, preparing for an interview when she received a call from TingTing.

"Xin Mei, I have sent you a link on your messenger. Check that link." Voice of TingTing was full of excitement and surprise.

"What happened TingTing? You are sounding very happy today." Xin Mei asked with curiosity.

"You just open the link and you will know everything." And with that, TingTing cut the call.

Xin Mei quickly opened the link and a surprise filled gasp escaped from her mouth. There on her mobile screen was a fan-made poll. The poll was about the best actor and best actress in the cast of Revenge.

In the poll, fans had voted for their favourite, the one whose role they liked the most in the trailer of the movie. Such polls were usually made by famous blog pages which had many fans following them.

In the best actor poll, the compet.i.tion between Tang Min and Chen Bai was very stiff with Chen Bai leading with a total of 41 % votes and Tang Min was closely following behind with 40% votes. Other cast actors also had some votes on their names. 

What shocked her was the voting for the best actress. Xin Mei was leading with 45% and the shocking news was that, Zhou Mingyu only had 9% votes on her name. Many other small and C grade actress were giving here stiff compet.i.tion.

Xin Mei could not believe her eyes when she saw the status of the poll. She did not think fans of Zhou Mingyu would leave her support so quickly.

Slowly, a large smile appeared on the lips of Xin Mei. She felt as if she had again crossed a level and was very close to s.n.a.t.c.hing everything from Zhou Mingyu, her fame had already reduced to half.

Citizens could vote on the poll for one week. The results of who was the best actor and best actress as per the public opinion were to be announced after a week only. 

For one week, Xin Mei kept feeling nervous. She felt as if the poll was not fan-made voting but voting for the national level best actress award. During the night, she thought her votes would decrease and Zhou Mingyu would surpa.s.s her with an increase in her votes. She could not sleep easily during the nights.

From time to time, she refreshed the page to keep an eye on the result.

"Mei, why are you so concerned about this fan-made poll?" Su Yuchen chided her. "You should focus more on the a.s.signment which is organized for you by TingTing and on promoting the Revenge. Zhou Mingyu and you have a huge difference in between your votes. I don't think she will be able to defeat you."

When the results were declared, they were not surprising for Chen Bai and others but they were very surprising for Xin Mei.

Su Zixin had won the best actor from public opinion with 46% votes and Tang Min had 43% votes where in the best actress public category, Xin Mei won with 49% votes where Zhou Mingyu only had 5% votes. Three other female casts were leading her with 7% votes.

"Told you, we both will win in the best actor and actress category." Su Zixin chuckled and looked at his tab. "I cannot believe so many citizens took this fan-made poll so seriously. Nearly one million people signed for it. Geez, such a big figure."

Su Zixin scrolled through his tab and showed some posts to Xin Mei regarding the 'Revenge.' Xin Mei was again surprised to see most of the articles were discussing her, Chen Bai, and Tang Min. There was no or negligible name of Zhou Mingyu.

It was like everyone had boycott Zhou Mingyu and why not, Su Yuchen had already ordered everyone in the film industry to boycott Zhou Mingyu. Paparazzi were also given the same instruction that Su corporation was standing against Zhou Mingyu.

For the promotion of the movie, the main cast of Revenge that was Tang Min, Xin Mei, Chen Bai including Zhou Mingyu visited the sets of many reality singing and dancing shows.

In every show, everyone displayed utter affection to Xin Mei which irked Zhou Mingyu to the core. Multiple times, Xin Mei was invited on the stage to enact the scene from the movie, she was asked to speak the dialogues from the trailer which had become very famous.

She was also invited to dance on multiple occasions. Xin Mei also enjoyed dancing with experts who were way better than her in their dancing skills.

Xin Mei was also invited on the stage to sing the songs, whenever that happened, Su Zixin always ended up by teasing her. He made fun of her singing in front of the camera. He was teasing her so Xin Mei never minded it.

But Zhou Mingyu, she used to mock at the singing of Xin Mei which was not hidden from Su Zixin and Xin Mei. The both were waiting for the release of Revenge. They knew Zhou Mingyu would never be able to see happy days after that.

The fame of Xin Mei was souring high as she was promoting the movie. Her nature, her grace had attracted many citizens and many big companies.

She started to receive many offers to become the brand amba.s.sador of many big companies. But she denied them all. She knew Su Yuchen was already planning to make her the brand amba.s.sador of Su corporation. He was only waiting for the right time.

Main cast also visited many schools and colleges to promote the movie where Xin Mei again became an idol to many students with her smartness. 

During school days, Xin Mei was very good at studies. So, when the students asked her questions, it was not hard for her to reply to them and her answers were full of politeness, unlike Zhou Mingyu who was still full of att.i.tude.

With the promotion of the movie, the popularity of Xin Mei was rising in leaps where Zhou Mingyu's popularity was sinking deep in the oceans.
