From the moment Song Daiyu had given her the gla.s.s, Xin Mei was feeling something bad in her guts. She could feel that something was fishy. How came Daiyu became so good girl!

Due to her doubts, Xin Mei did not take a sip of the juice. She placed the gla.s.s on the dining table and pulled out her mobile from her handbag.

"Xin Mei, why aren't you drinking the juice?"

The desperation in the voice of Song Daiyu made it clear to Xin Mei that her doubt was right. Something was wrong with this juice.

"You should drink this. Otherwise, bro Chen will again get angry with me. You know how angry he is on me right now." Song Daiyu pleaded.

"I will drink it. But first, let me check an important mail." Xin Mei smiled and looked at Song Daiyu. She was looking at the gla.s.s and then at Xin Mei.

Xin Mei rolled her eyes and very smartly, using her handbag, she pushed the gla.s.s of juice. The gla.s.s tumbled and the juice spilled out from it.

Xin Mei acted as if it was an accident. She quickly placed her handkerchief over the juice to let it soak the juice.

"Xin Mei, let me bring you another gla.s.s of juice." Song Daiyu offered with a forced smile on her lips. 

'She was so close to her death. But again, she got lucky.' Song Daiyu looked at the spilled poison and took a deep breath. She was glad that she still had some poison left in her bottle.

"No need Daiyu. I should leave now."

"But, Bro Chen."

"Don't worry about him."

Xin Mei quickly picked up the socked handkerchief and rushed out of the house. She did not give Song Daiyu any chance to serve her another gla.s.s of juice.

Xin Mei secured the socked handkerchief in an airtight bag and walked toward the car driven by w.a.n.g Wei.

"w.a.n.g Wei, take me to the city lab."

"Why missus? Are you all right?" w.a.n.g Wei asked with concern.

City lab was the biggest lab in the city, famous for any kind of test, blood test, poison test, soil test. Every type of test was done by the experts in the city lab.

"I am all right w.a.n.g Wei. I have some work there, and I hope you will not tell Su Yuchen about the same."

w.a.n.g Wei thought Xin Mei was visiting the city lab to get her pregnancy test done. So, he got excited and promised Xin Mei that he would not say a word about her visit to Su Yuchen.

Xin Mei gave the sample of juice from her handkerchief to physician to check. She specifically asked the physician to do it quickly and call her the moment the results were out.

Xin Mei was filming for her scene when she received a call from the city lab. She picked up the call and immediately fear appeared on her face when she heard the results from the physician.

"Miss, the juice given by you has traces of very strong poison." The physician gave her the details of the poison and from that, Xin Mei could get it that poison was strong enough to kill her in a blink of eye.

"Miss, you should be careful of the person who has given this juice to you. His or her intention was clear, he or she wanted to kill you."

"Got it."

Xin Mei hung up the call and looked down with a pale face. She could not imagine what would have happened if her guards were not on. What if she had drunk the juice!

"Xin Mei, are you alright?" Su Zixin asked with concern. He could see that the face of Xin Mei was pale as a white sheet of paper.

"I am feeling a bit tired. Can you tell the director that I am leaving earlier today?"

"Ok." Su Zixin nodded his head and helped Xin Mei toward the parking where w.a.n.g Wei opened the car door for her.

Xin Mei knew that Song Daiyu was after her life. She knew small tricks used by Song Daiyu to kill her. Xin Mei knew that the break of her cars were touched by Song Daiyu. She had an idea that the hitman was hired by Song Daiyu.

But she did not think Song Daiyu would poison her, which would eventually put a finger on her.

'I can't let a snake like her stay at my house. I must talk to Su Yuchen. She should be out from my house, today itself.' She decided.

Xin Mei and w.a.n.g Wei first made their way toward the city lab. From there, they fetched the report of the juice and then they made their way toward the Su corporations. 

Xin Mei dialled the number of Su Yuchen and informed him beforehand that she was coming. 

At that moment, Su Yuchen was in an important meeting.

"Mei, you can sit in my office or attached private room. I will come to the office directly from the meeting room." Su Yuchen informed her.

Xin Mei reached his office and as told, she walked in his private room. She stumbled against the wall of the private room and looked at the report in her hands.

"What happened Mei? You did not sound good over the phone." Su Yuchen asked with concern.

"Chen," Xin Mei breathed heavily. She walked toward him and looked at him with pleading eyes. "Chen, I know you love Song Daiyu as your sister, but she cannot live in our house. You have to kick her out."

"Mei, I am sending her off. Uncle will be back by tomorrow, and then Song Daiyu will leave our house."

"No, not tomorrow, I want you to kick her out today only, right now. She can't stay at our place for any more second." Xin Mei pleaded with desperation in voice. Tears filled in her eyes.

Su Yuchen felt something amiss when he looked at this condition of Xin Mei. "What happened?"

"Chen," Xin Mei opened the report and placed it in front of him. "Song Daiyu tried to poison me."

The breath knocked out from the lungs of Su Yuchen when he heard Xin Mei. He looked at the report with wide eyes, not able to believe that his childhood best friend, his sister had tried to kill his wife.

Yesterday, during car race he had doubted that Song Daiyu wanted to kill his wife. And now, the reports in his hands proved the same.
